    While the Facility is a bit old, the warm hospitality made our stay comfortable.

    This was my first time staying in Nishi-Izu, and I chose this Accommodation because I was looking for a place with an ocean view. The Facility felt a bit old, but the location was great, and the meals offered many dishes—more than I could finish—and everything was delicious.

    Satisfied with the spacious Room

    I stayed with three friends (four of us in total). Because one of us has limited mobility, I asked in advance whether we could visit using a wheelchair or cane and whether a shower chair was available. I received a very polite email saying it would be possible and that they would be happy to welcome us, which truly impressed me. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was the most satisfying open-air-bath Room I have ever stayed in. Overall, it was spacious enough, and the toilet was excellent as well, with plenty of space and handrails on both sides. The bath overlooking the sea also had enough room for two people to relax and stretch out. If it had been clear weather, could we have seen Mt. Fuji too? We also had our meals in the living area of the Room, so we could dine at a relaxed pace. The portions were generous—almost too much to finish.

    Satisfied with the Facility and meals.

    The exterior feels a bit dated, but the inside is kept very clean. The Onsen was very relaxing, and the meals were truly delicious. However, at check-in, the woman assisting me was polite but hard to hear—her voice was completely drowned out by another staff member speaking nearby. When I asked her to repeat herself, she only said, “Please sign here and here,” which made me think she could have just said that from the start. During dinner, when turning off the flame heating the hot pot, a staff member blew it out with their mouth, which felt unpleasant. I wondered if there wasn’t a proper tool for extinguishing it; it also seemed a bit unhygienic. That part was disappointing. Otherwise, I was satisfied.

    A Hospitable Hotel

    It was a wonderful Hotel with attentive hospitality. The weather happened to be great on the day of our stay, and we were especially moved by the beautiful sunset. The accommodation cost was also reasonably priced, making this one of the Hotels we would like to stay at again next time. Thank you very much.

    A casual Ryokan.

    Because it had such high ratings, we chose it for the first night of our family trip. We booked a meal Plan featuring abalone and a boat platter, and stayed in a Japanese-style Room. We usually make Reservations through IKYU, but at check-in I realized it had been many years since we last stayed at a Hotel in the casual category... I assume the high ratings are due to the service during dinner and the food itself, but even so, I couldn’t help wondering if it wasn’t quite expensive. The fresh abalone and mixed rice were very delicious. However, with stormy weather that day as well, the rain pounding against the windows was so loud and intense that it felt frightening, and because the futon was thin I couldn’t sleep well. On a clear day, the sunset and sunrise might be beautiful. Also, since the sea is right in front and there were beach showers, it may be nice during swimming season as well. Because four adults stayed in one Room on a day with bad weather, it felt like a training camp for our family rather than a relaxing stay.

    Onsen trip to celebrate my wife's birthday

    Every January, we often enjoy a family Onsen trip to celebrate my wife's birthday. During this season, we usually choose Izu for its proximity and minimal concerns about snow while driving. This time, we stayed at Arujisu in Ko-Tori Onsen for the first time. We chose a Japanese-Western style room with an open-air bath, which had been renovated to be barrier-free, ensuring safety and comfort. Meals were served in the room, and we thoroughly enjoyed a course featuring local seafood. While the portions were slightly large for elderly guests, the fresh seafood was so delicious that we finished everything. Due to the limited number of rooms, the shared indoor and outdoor baths felt somewhat small. Additionally, there were no handrails, and the washing stools were quite low—these aspects could be improved. On our way back home, we also enjoyed visiting Tori Matsubara Park's Sakura Festival.

    Perfect for a relaxing break.

    It was such a wonderful accommodation that I wanted to give it all 5 stars. The front desk and staff were very polite. For dinner, you choose between 17:45 or 18:15 at check-in. The room was spacious enough, and the private open-air bath with natural hot spring water had the perfect temperature. The room was quiet, so I relaxed while playing soft jazz on my smartphone. Dinner was delicious and perfect for two to enjoy together. Winter seems to be the best time to watch the sunset. It has become an accommodation I would love to stay at again.

    I visited recently. ...

    I visited recently. It was quiet and the Room was spacious, and at this price, the Room had an open-air bath with natural hot spring water, and I was satisfied that I could use the large public bath without it being crowded. If there is one thing, the dinner was full of fish, with a high proportion of sashimi, which was a bit tough during the cold season.
