    It feels like an old...

    It feels like an older Accommodation, but it was very well maintained. The lobby floor has a bar, the front desk, and the baths. The front desk had a chic, stylish look. The Room felt a bit small, but since we mainly just bathed and slept there, it wasn’t an issue. Dinner focused on vegetables and had a very gentle flavor—we were satisfied. There were also events scheduled before and after dinner, which we enjoyed as well. The bath temperature was just right and very comfortable. All staff were pleasant—friendly and efficient in their work. If I go to Nasu again, I’ll be sure to visit again. The amenities bar is convenient, but I’d love to see a wider selection.

    Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

    I stayed here on a solo trip as a treat for myself. From the moment I arrived, I was comforted by the staff’s warm and attentive hospitality. The meals were packed with fresh vegetables, with generous portions—I was completely satisfied. On top of that, the all-you-can-drink option, pre-dinner snacks, and dessert service made it a truly pampering stay. I was so full after dinner that I unfortunately couldn’t eat dessert, but next time I’d like to plan my appetite better so I can enjoy it. Even when we drove past the Hotel on our way out, the staff waved to me with big smiles, and it left me feeling warmly happy—almost to tears. Next time I’ll come with my family. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

    The Best Onsen

    It was my first visit, and I was delighted by the kindness of the staff. The meals, Onsen, and bar were all excellent. I've decided to visit again in March.

    This year, just like last year,

    As with last year, we stayed as a couple again this year. Due to a heart condition I experienced last December, my wife drove us this time. The food was delicious, and the Onsen had the perfect temperature—it was amazing. We look forward to visiting again next time!

    A cost-effective accommodation!

    The staff provided heartfelt and attentive service. Given the affordable price, I didn't have high expectations for the meals, but they exceeded my expectations with quality and quantity far beyond typical Ryokan fare. Additionally, the drink service and all-you-can-drink options pleasantly surprised me with their value for the price.

    The food is absolutely delicious.

    The dishes made with plenty of fresh local vegetables were absolutely delicious. The handmade tofu at the Hotel was rich, creamy, and free from any strong bean taste—an exceptional treat. The crème brûlée made with Nasu Goyoran eggs served after the meal, as well as the French toast at breakfast, were all delightful and highly satisfying. I also loved the jam from a nearby shop that was served during breakfast at the Hotel; I liked it so much that I purchased some to take home. It’s been a joy to enjoy such delicious flavors even after returning home.

    Refreshed.

    I stayed alone and was warmly welcomed from the moment I entered the accommodation, making me look forward to my stay. I had an enjoyable time until the very end. What stood out most was the variety and deliciousness of the vegetables. I heard that the offerings change with each season, so I’d love to visit again during a different season. The only thing I found a bit disappointing was a faint smell, like tobacco, in the restroom. (If it was from the onsen or something else, my apologies.) This feedback is just a small note because I truly want to visit again! It was one of my most enjoyable solo trips ever. Thank you so much!

    The open-air bath offers a stunning view.

    Thank you for your stay. We were mostly satisfied, but we believe the following improvements could make it even better: - Adding a shower to the open-air bath - Increasing the variety of dishes in the breakfast buffet

    The food is delicious, but the cleanliness needs improvement.

    The all-you-can-drink Plan was great, offering a variety of beverages including original cocktails. The meals were healthy and delicious, made with locally sourced vegetables. The French toast at breakfast was exceptional. However, overall cleanliness was lacking; there was dust and dirt in the gaps of latticework, and the baby bath in the large public bath had many insects attached, raising concerns about hygiene. As for service, some young staff members used less polite language, and dishes were cleared too quickly, leaving little room to enjoy meals at a leisurely pace.

    A fantastic accommodation with excellent value for money.

    The private open-air baths on the 6th floor and rooftop were absolutely amazing. Although the private baths are not Onsen, they have large bathtubs and offer stunning views rarely found in private baths. Reservations are required from afternoon to evening, but in the morning, you can use them freely if available. Each bath faces a different direction: the 6th floor overlooks the Kanto Plain, while the rooftop offers views of Mount Nasu. Both are fantastic, but I personally preferred the view from the 6th floor. You can see a stretch of gentle green carpet with what seems to be a town in the distance. The great weather added to an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, as I found the public bath (especially its attached open-air bath) too small and shallow for my liking, I would rate it 4 stars overall for bathing facilities. The meals were also excellent! Dinner included shabu-shabu, bagna càuda, carpaccio (with an outstanding original sauce!), while breakfast featured premium egg TKG and fresh vegetable salads among other dishes. The staff's hospitality was impeccable—everyone was polite and attentive. As for my Room reservation with a bed setup—it turned out to be just mattresses placed on Ryukyu tatami mats instead of actual beds. I believe there should be some space between tatami mats and mattresses for it to qualify as a proper bed setup; hence I would rate guest rooms at 3 stars. That said, considering it came with an all-you-can-drink option at such an affordable price point—the value-for-money was excellent! Overall, I am very satisfied!

    An Annual Delight

    I visit every spring, and this season is especially relaxing with vibrant greenery and the soothing sounds of birds like the Japanese bush warbler. Dinner is, of course, delicious, but I highly recommend the breakfast buffet's rice with raw egg. It's something I rarely eat as an adult, but here I always make sure to have at least one bowl. The semi-private seating allows you to enjoy your meal comfortably without worrying about others. The milk is rich and flavorful, and the snap peas were so fresh that their stems stood upright. Another thoughtful touch for women is the makeup remover provided in the large public bath area—such attention to detail is truly appreciated!

    The meals and Onsen were excellent!

    The meals were highly satisfying with plenty of fresh Nasu vegetables. The private open-air bath offered beautiful views of Nasu's scenery, providing a very relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind. In particular, the BAR staff had a great sense of humor, making for an enjoyable time.

    The meals were delic...

    The meals were delicious, and the staff's warm smiles made the experience very pleasant. The view of the majestic Nasu Plain and the vibrant fresh greenery from the rooftop open-air bath was truly spectacular. The carrots, tomatoes, and other vegetables served during dinner and breakfast were sweet, free of bitterness, and had a unique flavor that stood out. Other local vegetables were also rich in taste and absolutely delightful. Thank you very much!

    Our dedicated staff provides excellent service.

    The staff's efforts provided various services and events, making the stay very enjoyable. The shabu-shabu dinner had a sufficient portion; it would have been perfect if the meat was slightly better. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of dishes, which was highly satisfying. The fresh eggs were particularly delicious.

    Upon arrival on the day of our stay, the staff greeted us with umbrellas, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The room offered a stunning view of the mountain slopes, and every detail—from the pre-dinner drink to the colorful seasonal vegetables and hot pot, as well as the wine filled with fresh fruits—was absolutely exquisite. The dishes were delightful and satisfying, making for an enjoyable dinner experience enhanced by attentive and hospitable service from the staff. Unfortunately, due to bad weather that day, we couldn't use the rooftop open-air bath; however, we thoroughly enjoyed another open-air bath with breathtaking views. This Ryokan truly exceeded expectations in capturing guests' hearts and providing such satisfaction—it was unlike any other in recent years. Next time, I hope to relax in the rooftop open-air bath and will definitely return here again!

    Good points about this stay: The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The dinner was luxurious and tasted great. Not-so-good points: It was disappointing that the large bath on the second floor had a limited number of baths.

    New Year's Stays

    Every year, we have been using Samba Valley Nasu, but this time we stayed at Ichiya Hotel for the first time, and it was a very lovely place. The dinner was all-you-can-drink and there was so much food that we couldn't finish it, which satisfied my wife and me. We left saying to my wife that we would use it again next time.

    First-time use

    This was my first time using the service. I arrived earlier than my scheduled check-in time, but they kindly accommodated me and smoothly guided me to my Room, which was very helpful. The atmosphere inside the facility was calm, allowing for a relaxing stay. The meals, both vegetables and meat, were truly delicious. All the staff were pleasant, and we talked about wanting to use the service again on our way home. Thank you for a very enjoyable time.

    It was a nice Stays.

    It was my first visit, but the staff were kind, the food was delicious, and it was a nice Stays. The dining venue was semi-private, and the dinner used plenty of local vegetables. I could only get a smoking Room, which worried me a bit, but it wasn't too smoky, so it was manageable. (However, considering the current times, I think it would be better to make the entire Property non-smoking.)

    Unfortunately, it was raining, but the observation bath was excellent. The shabu-shabu dinner was also delicious, but it's a pity that the building is old.
