    Stunning views of Aso and the ranch

    About a 15-minute taxi ride from the nearest Miyaji Station, it’s accessible even without a car. The atmosphere is simply outstanding. Dining with the majestic Aso mountains and endless grasslands as your backdrop is truly irreplaceable. The Facility feels like a hotel restaurant in the American West. As it’s located on a ranch, there are plenty of horses on the premises, and of course you can also enjoy horseback riding experiences. With good weather, you should be able to catch the sunset sinking into the vast Aso landscape, a sky full of stars, and refreshing sunrise views with seas of clouds. There is also a large public bath. It’s a bit small, but it includes a dry sauna and cold plunge pool—perfect for unwinding while looking out over the Aso grasslands. It’s slightly disappointing that there’s no outdoor air-bath space (for safety reasons, the windows are kept fully closed), but you can still spot horses in the distance. Depending on the Plan, private time slots may be available as well, making it convenient for families.

    The Best Experience

    This was my first time staying at a ranch, and I’m truly glad I chose “El Patio Ranch.” The Room was very clean and stylish. Since it’s surrounded by nature, I expected it to be a season with lots of insects, but the interior was meticulously maintained and spotless throughout, so I had a very comfortable stay. This time I enjoyed an early-morning horseback riding experience. It was almost my first time on a horse, but the trainer carefully taught me how to ride and how to interact with the horse, so I could relax and enjoy it with confidence. The weather wasn’t perfectly sunny, but riding while taking in Aso’s magnificent scenery in the clear, slightly misty air became a truly special memory. All of the front desk staff were kind and welcoming from start to finish, making my stay very pleasant. I didn’t use the large public bath or dine on-site this time, but even so, it was such a satisfying stay that it made me want to come back. During my stay, someone I happened to meet even took wonderful photos for me, making my travel memories even more special. The adorable horses and the resident dog were also incredibly soothing—I felt everyday fatigue melt away. I wholeheartedly recommend this Accommodation to anyone who wants to truly refresh in nature or enjoy horseback riding with peace of mind. This was my first ranch stay experience, and it couldn’t have been a better start. When I visit Aso again, I would definitely like to stay here again.

    We stayed at the old...

    We stayed at the old building for a trip with three women. The room and amenities were well-equipped, which made us very happy. The staff in charge of reception, dining, and horseback riding were all cheerful and provided enjoyable service, making our stay even more delightful. They guided us to a spot with a better view of the stars, where we were amazed by the breathtaking starry sky. On our early morning departure, they informed us about the sea of clouds, allowing us to experience it for the first time in our lives before heading back to the airport. We would love to visit again at a leisurely pace. Thank you!

    完璧な日々

    After participating in the trail run, I experienced horseback riding. The next day, I used the schedule for climbing Mount Kuju. The race was rainy, but it cleared up after 2:30 PM, and the air was clear from the rain, leaving me breathless at the scenery from the horse's back and the spectacular view from the bath. The next day, the sunrise from the ridgeline, the gentle breeze while enjoying coffee on the porch, the neighing of the horses, and of course, the meals were all wonderful. I highly recommend this property!
