    Well-equipped lounge

    We were very satisfied with the wide variety of sweets in the lounge, and the meals were also very delicious. All three of us agreed we would like to come again. The bath was relaxing as well. We will definitely return—thank you very much.

    It was very good.

    Both the buffet and the Onsen were great. The buffet was delicious, especially the freshly fried tempura, spinach shabu-shabu, tuna, and pizza. The hot water was excellent, and the sauna was also very good. All of the staff were polite and kind. The Room was clean and well maintained. We would love to stay again.

    The staff were very friendly, and the buffet at the dining venue was truly varied and delicious. The large public bath offers two different styles, both comfortable and spotless. It’s perfect for a family trip, and we look forward to visiting again.

    We stayed for a trip...

    We stayed for a trip to celebrate my husband's birthday and our wedding anniversary. It was our first trip with a child, so we were nervous, but the staff's kindness and attentive care towards our child made it an incredibly enjoyable experience for the whole family. The meals were absolutely delicious, and we were very satisfied. Although our child was restless during meals and ate slowly, making us consider giving up on the surprise we had planned at a specific timing, thanks to the thoughtful support of the staff, we managed to carry out the surprise successfully. We are truly filled with gratitude. The surprise plate from the Hotel also made it a wonderful memory. As I am pregnant with our second child, this trip was likely to be our last one for a while. It turned out to be such an unforgettable experience filled with precious memories with my family and especially my child. Thank you so much! We would love to stay again!

    Warm smiles from the Hotel staff will brighten your day.

    I stayed for one night from December 6th. Although I arrived two hours earlier than planned, I was allowed to check in, and my luggage was brought to the room, which was very helpful. I stayed with my grandchild, and the hotel staff were very kind. My shy grandchild even held hands with the parking staff and smiled happily. Despite being fully booked, we were able to enjoy our meals smoothly. Everything was delicious, but the smiles of the staff made it even more enjoyable. An accommodation where you can always see smiles is truly wonderful. I would love to visit again in the future. Thank you in advance for your hospitality at that time!

    It was amazing!

    I was unsure where to go during the 3-day weekend, but I happened to come across this hotel and made a last-minute reservation. Saturdays are still expensive as usual, but in the end, it was totally worth it. The room was clean, the bath was spacious, and the buffet was absolutely delicious. The bathroom in the room seemed outdated since it's probably intended for guests to use the large public onsen instead. Overall, I am very satisfied. However, if you miss the bus timing from Kinugawa Onsen Station, you might have to wait quite a while. It would be great if they could increase bus frequency or provide a shuttle service like some other hotels do. Also, buses near the station don't accept IC cards like Suica or Pasmo; you'll need coins which can be inconvenient... In this day and age, cash-only feels a bit outdated!

    We stayed at Kinugawa Onsen Hotel for the second time this year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. During the dinner buffet, we were surprised with a wonderful dessert, which was unexpected but made us very happy and was absolutely delicious. All the meals were delightful, and the rice balls prepared by a kind lady in the morning were exceptionally tasty. We also enjoyed playing table tennis after many years, which was so much fun and gave us a refreshing workout. The onsen was very clean when we visited at 4 AM, and the open-air bath allowed us to enjoy fresh air while feeling relaxed. Thanks to soaking in the onsen after work-related fatigue, I felt completely rejuvenated. Thank you very much!

    It was comfortable.

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in a Japanese-style room at Natsukashikan. The meals were varied on both days, delicious, and very satisfying! Since I’m not fond of large public baths, I used the private bath on both days. It was spacious, clean, and very nice. However, the shower would stop frequently due to water-saving measures, which was a bit inconvenient for me as someone with long and thick hair. It would be great if this could be improved at least in the private baths. Also, it would be more relaxing if the private bath time slot were extended to 1 hour instead of 45 minutes—it felt a bit rushed. I believe this is a hotel that has been loved for many years; while the building itself may be old, it is kept very clean and gave me peace of mind. The space where you can sit while watching and listening to the river made me feel deeply connected to my Japanese roots—it was so comfortable that I found myself sitting there for quite some time. Above all else, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. In the end, it’s really about people—the staff’s hospitality made this trip truly wonderful. If I have another chance to visit Kinugawa again in the future, I look forward to staying here once more. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

    The bathroom was spacious and comfortable.

    I used this place on my way back from Oze via Tobu Railway. I enjoyed the happy hour time service in the lobby. The meals were creatively prepared and satisfying, especially the delicious rice balls in the morning. However, if Shuttle Service is not available, providing free tickets for the return dial bus would make for an even happier journey home.

    It was a great Hotel, completely different from its appearance along the river.

    We stayed as a group of three close friends. The warm welcome and smooth check-in made for a pleasant experience. Although the building and rooms are older, the excellent service from the staff more than made up for it. The free drinks and snacks were a nice touch! The Onsen was spacious and comfortable, with no unpleasant feelings at all. I’m grateful to my friend who chose this accommodation for us. With such reasonable prices, I’d love to come back next time with my family!

    Warm hospitality

    We stayed at this accommodation for a family trip. At first, the exterior looked a bit aged, which made us slightly anxious, but as soon as our car arrived, the smooth and courteous reception and seamless guidance immediately reassured us that this was an excellent accommodation. Inside, it was very clean and felt modern. Despite having many guests, it didn’t feel noisy or chaotic, allowing us to relax comfortably. The dinner buffet was exceptional, offering something enjoyable for both children and adults alike.

    Accommodation with delicious meals.

    I stayed for one night with my mother and sister's family. We chose a Plan with a private dining room to fulfill my mother's wish to enjoy dinner in a private space, and it was the perfect choice! The private room was well-prepared, and we had an assigned staff member who was very kind and made the experience enjoyable. We spent about two and a half hours savoring our meal, starting with adorable spring-themed appetizers resembling cherry blossoms and dumplings. The shabu-shabu meat was incredibly delicious—something I hadn't had in such quality for a long time. The portion sizes were just right, leaving my mother very satisfied as well. I'm truly glad we chose this option. The bath area was spacious with various types of baths to enjoy, allowing us to relax and unwind after quite some time. Breakfast was served buffet-style, which was also extremely delicious! As mentioned in Reviews, many foreign staff members were working there; however, they spoke excellent Japanese and provided very kind service. Thank you so much! I would love to stay at this Hotel again when visiting Kinugawa next time!

    Satisfied.

    The room was clean and spacious, and the Onsen was pleasantly lukewarm, allowing for a relaxing soak. The hotel staff were kind and attentive, for which I am very grateful! One note: the roast beef at the buffet was incredibly delicious but quite large, making it very filling on its own. A half-size portion would be helpful for older guests. I look forward to visiting again!

    Highly Satisfying Hotel!

    The staff at the Hotel were truly amazing. I've stayed at many hotels, but this was the first time I felt so comfortable staying for an extended period. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, and extra sheets were laid out to ensure our child wouldn't fall between the futons. Our whole family is deeply grateful. Highly recommended for families with children! You won't have to worry about meals, and your kids will have a great time too. We will definitely come back again!! Absolutely fantastic!

    Regrettable

    For the past few years, we have been visiting during the New Year. We request a private room for dinner every year, but it has been increasingly disappointing. The menu hardly changes each year, and this year was truly disappointing as the food served was not just lukewarm but dried out. Moreover, the tea served with the final dessert was lukewarm... When we first stayed, the Room was clean and well-maintained despite being in an old Hotel, which we liked and made us return every year. However, this year, dust was noticeable. We were discussing with the family that it's disappointing to feel this way with the New Year rates, and there might not be a next time.

    The staff service was excellent.

    It is quite far from Kinugawa Onsen Station, but it is within walking distance to Fureai Bridge. The staff service was excellent, and when we returned to the hotel after a walk in the sleet with an umbrella, they provided a bag for the towel and umbrella. The bath was relaxing and enjoyable. There was a wide variety of food, and both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. We stayed on the 7th floor of Yunomachi-kan, but in terms of facilities, the room key was difficult to open, and the power outlets were only in the corners of the room, so I couldn't look at my smartphone while charging it, which is why I rated it 4 stars. I would like to stay again.

    Arriving by car, the exterior looked quite old, but once inside, it was very clean and felt a bit mysterious. The room was also clean and nice, but it was a bit too cramped for five people in one room. Usually, at most Stays, when you Reserve a room for five people, they provide a fairly spacious room, but this time it was about a 12-tatami room, which was quite tight. Disappointing! The large public bath was decent. What was really great was the private bath. It was a very pleasant bath. The buffet was delicious.

    The best value for money hotel in the Kanaya Hotel Group!

    As a fan of the Kanaya Hotel Group, I recommend the Kinugawa Onsen Hotel. Amidst the gently falling snow, a large number of staff welcome you at the entrance! This onsen hotel offers great cost performance for families while experiencing Kanaya's hospitality. It's convenient to have beds in the Japanese-style rooms. The buffet is recommended for the later time slots! There are plenty of delicious dishes lined up. It's relaxing not to worry if children run around a bit or if you hear a baby crying. There are many baths and a beautiful powder room. It's a pity that it's quite difficult to secure a reservation. As a repeater, I'm happy to visit easily. Actually, I'm a regular at John Kanaya! But I love this place.

    Winter Family Trip

    It was my first time using the service, and I was very satisfied with the meals. The service and Onsen were also satisfactory, but it took a little time to have my luggage stored due to my visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, which was a bit concerning. Other than that, everything was satisfactory. I would like to come again.

    Neither good nor bad.

    I was disappointed because I chose the Stays based on reviews. I don't think I will remember the Onsen or the meals later. Since the accommodation fee is not cheap, I don't think there will be a next time. The dining area was just a large space with many tables, and it didn't feel like an enjoyable dining experience. The pizza at night was delicious. The thick-sliced roast beef? I finally finished it. The rice balls in the morning were delicious.

    Wedding Anniversary

    It was a very lovely Kinugawa Onsen Hotel, even more than I expected. The meals were colorful and beautiful, perfect for autumn, and the taste was very delicious. The yuba dishes, which I don't usually eat, were also very delicious, and the room on the top floor allowed me to enjoy the natural beauty and fresh air of Kinugawa, which was very healing. The reception staff were also very kind and assisted us with sign language, which made me very happy. It became a very good memory. Thank you very much.

    Above all, the hospitality of the staff is wonderful!

    We stayed for one night as a mother and daughter. The purpose of the trip was to enjoy the Onsen and meals. We were very satisfied with the welcome drink and sweets service in the lounge upon arrival, but above all, we were moved by the warm hospitality of the staff during our stay! We noticed some foreign staff members, but they were all always smiling and fluent in Japanese, which was truly wonderful. As the reviews said, the buffet's content and variety were excellent, and we were very satisfied with the full meal! (The thickness of the roast beef was surprisingly good in a positive way) I recommend the French toast for breakfast. We will definitely visit again.

    It was good.

    Initially, I was considering another Hotel, but I was attracted by the good Reviews and decided to stay. Overall, it was good. Starting with the welcome drink and sweets service, I enjoyed the Room, bath, and meals. The foreign staff members were also very courteous. If I may say, there were parts that could have been improved (such as the lack of a women's haori at first and no power outlet near the bed), but it became a wonderful memory for our special day. Thank you for the dessert gift from the Hotel!
