    Room Maintenance

    While I was satisfied with the food and service, the guest room had not been properly maintained, which is why I gave this rating. Even considering the building’s age, better maintenance is essential.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the conger eel dishes.

    This was our second stay, and we stayed with my elderly mother. We thoroughly enjoyed the conger eel dinner and the Japanese breakfast. We were also able to relax comfortably in the barrier-free private open-air bath. Thank you to all the Hotel staff for your courteous service.

    The issue is value for money.

    We stayed for one night with a large group. This is a family-friendly Hotel. The Room felt smaller than in the photos, but the view was great and we were satisfied. Service varied by staff member, but overall it was good. However, we felt the cost did not match the value at all. We understand it was peak season during Obon, but the price was comparable to a high-end Ryokan. We were told that children using Child Sharing Existing Bedding would be charged via Local Payment, and we didn’t know the amount in advance, so it was shocking that even an infant cost over 30,000 yen...

    Seaside View

    We were able to relax in a Room with a great view. Dinner was served in the Room, so we didn’t have to move and could take our time. The parking lot felt a bit far away. It seems there are many foreign staff members these days, and they provided courteous service. We would like to stay again.

    I chose this Accommo...

    I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to relax nearby during the Golden Week holidays. This was my first stay. The Hotel overall feels a bit dated, but the Room I stayed in had been renovated, so it was very comfortable. The in-room amenities were also great. The staff were very helpful and flexible with our meal requests, such as reducing the number of dishes or the portion sizes. It was disappointing that we couldn’t use the open-air observation bath due to bad weather. I hope you will consider adding a roof or other measures in the future. The next day the weather improved, and we could see a beautiful ocean view—the scenery was excellent. A Room with an Onsen is a great option since it isn’t affected by the weather.

    We’re so glad we chose to stay here!

    Awaji Island has many Hotels, so I did thorough research using Reviews. In the end, I chose this one, and when I made the Reservation, I wrote, “We are traveling to celebrate my parents’ 80th birthday, so please place our Rooms next to each other.” To my surprise, at dinner they gave my parents bouquets along with a warm message card, and even prepared yellow celebratory vests for them—so we all took commemorative photos together. At breakfast the next morning, they presented us with two beautiful framed photos with the date and a message; I was truly moved. The Facility itself seems to have been built quite some time ago, but the interior has been properly renovated. We stayed in two Japanese-Western style Rooms on the 7th floor, and the view was absolutely breathtaking—there was nothing to complain about. It was a wonderful oceanfront Room. There was a Nespresso machine in the Room, and the bath amenities were excellent—especially in the scenic-view bath area, where products from Matsuyama Yushi were provided. The food was outstanding; every dish was thoughtfully crafted, and you could really feel the chef’s skill. The gentleman named M who served our table at dinner was also wonderful—he communicated with us so well that my parents were delighted. We were happy to see him again at breakfast. Breakfast came in a beautifully arranged box with a wide variety of items. Since my elderly parents would have to keep getting up at a buffet, they were very pleased to be able to sit comfortably and enjoy delicious food. The flavors weren’t overly strong, and there was great creativity in both ingredients and preparation—we were impressed. The sashimi in particular was superb. We also ordered three additional Awaji Island onion dishes à la carte; those were delicious as well. The only thing is that fried items had to be ordered separately—if onion tempura had been included, our satisfaction would have been even higher. I’d love other guests to try it too. Throughout the Hotel there were beautiful flower arrangements everywhere. Awaji Island is also known for incense, and incense being gently burned added another thoughtful touch. It seems there is also a pool in summer, so I recommend it for guests of all ages. Not having a buffet actually made us even more satisfied! This is a Hotel I can confidently recommend to others. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    On my first trip to ...

    On my first trip to Awaji Island, I enjoyed a relaxing Multiple Night Stay for two nights. Located in the center of the island, it was convenient for getting around from the northern area all the way to the Tokushima side. The view was wonderful—nothing but the sea—and the meals were excellent. They also changed the menu on the second day, which I really appreciated. One suggestion: it would be helpful to have a luggage rack for suitcases.

    Valued for its scenic views.

    The view from the Room is wonderful, which is exactly why it felt like such a waste. There was sticky residue left on the high table in the Room, and I noticed it as soon as I entered. The high chairs may look stylish at first glance, but they are not comfortable for relaxing. Next, the meals... also disappointing. The concept is good, but nothing besides the sashimi tasted truly delicious. The overall balance was poor, and it felt like a random assortment of ingredients. Although it was disappointing overall, all of the staff were kind.

    The meals were excellent.

    Dinner was served in the Room, and we were very happy that a table was set up in the Japanese-style room. The food was excellent, especially the spiny lobster sashimi. Even though there was plenty, it went down easily.

    I stayed on a weekda...

    I stayed on a weekday and enjoyed the calm atmosphere for a relaxing time. Choosing a yukata was fun, and the sparkling wine at night added a special touch. The late-night "Yonaki Soba" was served in a mini size, making it easy to enjoy. I was delighted that the private bath was available for free, and I could relax until 11 AM in the morning. It was a Plan that allowed me to experience the Christmas spirit.

    Price Surge

    This time, I made a last-minute Reservation just a few days before the date and was initially worried after watching some slightly outdated YouTube videos. However, the sauna and large bath were much better than expected, and the sashimi served in the Room was delicious. I am very satisfied. Thank you very much!

    Delicious cuisine and breathtaking sunrise views from the Room.

    Dinner was served in the room, and each dish was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The sunrise view from the room we stayed in was breathtaking, allowing us to enjoy a truly elegant time. There was a small incident during breakfast, but the staff responded promptly, allowing us to continue our meal with peace of mind. At checkout, we received a warm farewell along with a thoughtful souvenir, leaving us deeply grateful for their heartfelt hospitality. It was a stay where we were satisfied with everything—scenery, cuisine, and service—and we would love to visit again.

    It was a good accommodation.

    Although the Facility is old, the bath has been renovated and is clean. The meals are Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients. They were visually enjoyable as well. The taste was also delicious. The staff provided polite service and shared stories about the history of Awaji Island. It felt like they were very knowledgeable.

    I chose the in-room ...

    I chose the in-room dining plan. The dishes featured seasonal ingredients, were well-seasoned, and very delicious. It was great to enjoy a meal with my family without any worries. The stay was affordable and highly satisfying.

    I made a reservation...

    I made a reservation with a last-minute discount as I suddenly got a holiday. The dinner was a kaiseki meal with fresh sashimi and other elaborate dishes, which were delicious. Being at Sumoto Onsen, I also enjoyed the onsen. Although it was an unplanned trip, it became a wonderful memory.

    We shared in our reservation that we wanted to revisit the Ryokan, which holds fond memories with our mother, and also mentioned that it was my sister's birth month. The staff kindly prepared a special meal offering and a lovely bouquet for my sister. We brought along a photo of our mother and placed it next to the meal offering, taking a memorable picture. Thank you so much. However, we did notice some minor issues: one of the glasses had a crack, and although we had in-room dining, the TV was positioned in such a way that it couldn't be seen from the table, which was slightly disappointing. The attendant was very cheerful and engaging in conversation, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay.

    The facility is old, and while it seems to be undergoing gradual renovations, signs of age and wear can still be noticed in some areas. However, a modern sauna has been added, and one of the baths is newly built. Guests can enjoy both the new and old baths on a rotating schedule for men and women. The older bath shows signs of rust and aging but was thoroughly cleaned, making it pleasant to use. The guest rooms have been beautifully renovated and are very clean. The water facilities remain as traditional unit bathrooms with combined toilets in a compact space, likely due to the difficulty of full-scale remodeling. Despite this, the oceanfront view from the 6th-floor room was outstanding; even when seated on tatami mats, we could fully enjoy the stunning sea view that lifted our spirits. The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly its meals. Each dish reflected careful selection of ingredients, meticulous preparation, and beautiful presentation. Both dinner and breakfast were delightful experiences that had everyone exclaiming with joy at every bite. Even though we were completely full by dessert time due to the generous portions, everything was well-balanced with high-quality ingredients that made digestion easy—allowing us to enjoy another hearty breakfast. The staff provided exceptional service with thoughtful attention throughout our stay. Meals were served at perfect timing despite being in semi-private dining spaces. While there are undeniable traces of age here and there within the facility overall—considering its reasonable price—we left feeling satisfied overall!

    Enjoy to the fullest

    The room was a special suite, and it was amazing. I was moved the moment I entered such a wonderful Room after a long time. Although I usually prefer in-room dining, this time I chose the dining area because it looked stylish when I researched it. It turned out to be beautiful, and the meals were incredibly delicious and excellent. It was truly a Hotel I'd love to visit again.

    The ocean view from ...

    The ocean view from the window was breathtaking. The room was spacious, and we enjoyed a relaxing in-room dinner that was absolutely delicious. The meal included a variety of delicacies such as spiny lobster sashimi, sea bream sashimi, roast beef, and an eel hot pot. The sea bream rice dish was also tasty, but since we were too full to finish it, they kindly made it into rice balls for us to enjoy later. When we mentioned that we were staying to celebrate a birthday, they surprised us with flowers during dessert time, which made us very happy. The panoramic public bath was newly renovated and incredibly relaxing. It felt amazing! The large public bath inside the facility was also spacious and enjoyable. Breakfast featured a delightful "treasure box" presentation with dishes like yudofu (hot tofu), making the meal exciting and fun to eat. We are grateful for the wonderful time spent here and hope to stay again in the future!

    Thank you very much for this time. The staff's service was excellent. The conversation was enjoyable and became a wonderful memory. Thank you for properly accommodating dietary allergies as well. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The view from the Room was also fantastic.

    It was a very satisfying anniversary.

    It was my first trip to Awaji Island. Both dinner and breakfast were more delicious than any other Hotel, and I felt that each dish was prepared with care. Having meals in the Room was a long-awaited wish come true, and I was very satisfied. Also, when I mentioned to the landlady who prepared the meal that today was our wedding anniversary, she later surprised us with a gift of flowers, which made us very happy. The private bath with a time limit was also relaxing for us as a couple, and we were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

    Very good Hotel

    As a Hotel, it is impeccable. The Room's ocean view was very lovely. However, due to the sun's position, it is recommended from the afternoon. The sunrise in the morning is nice, but once it rises, it becomes too bright to look outside. Even with the blinds closed, it gets hot. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The front desk staff took a commemorative photo for us on our way back. It's a Hotel I want to visit again.

    My parents stayed there, and it seems they were more satisfied with the room's atmosphere and cleanliness than what they saw online or in the hotel photos. They came back extremely satisfied with the deliciousness and luxury of the food, which couldn't be fully appreciated just from the photos. It was impressive how they repeatedly mentioned wanting to visit again, showing how moved they were.
