    It was disappointing that there was no shower in the bathroom.

    The meals offered a wide variety of dishes and were delicious, so we were very satisfied. While the building has a historic atmosphere and is different from a modern Hotel, this Accommodation is recommended for those who want to step away from their smartphones and relax at a slower pace.

    Thanks to the Accommodation’s consideration, we were upgraded to a larger Room. The meals were delicious and we were very satisfied.

    It reminded me of the Sparrow’s Accommodation.

    Tucked away in a secluded area, we were picked up from the station with the Shuttle Service. When we entered the Room, the sound of birds was soothing. The Onsen was available 24 hours a day, so we enjoyed it many times in the morning and evening. Dinner included soba noodles, river fish, fresh udo shoots, and a hot pot with wild boar—everything was new to us. It was all very delicious. In the morning, the rice was excellent, and there were wonderful ingredients such as handmade tofu, homemade pickled plums, and Japanese yam. They also had homemade fruit liqueurs; I tried fig liqueur for the first time and it was very tasty. I would love to visit again. Even though we made a same-day Reservation, they kindly accepted it. Thank you very much.

    A Spontaneous Solo Trip

    As this is a historic Accommodation, the building and rooms did feel a bit old, but everything was well maintained and very nice. The baths were also clean, and with good timing I was able to enjoy both the open-air bath and the indoor bath on my own. In particular, the meals were excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Chichibu is relatively close, so I’d like to consider staying here again next time.

    In Bushu-Hino, 15 minutes from Ohana-batake, we were well taken care of with the Shuttle Service. There is one indoor bath and one open-air bath for both men and women, and since they are available 24 hours a day, I used them six times. They warmed me up thoroughly and felt wonderful. The meals were excellent—the soba was delicious, and the chestnut soup and sweet-simmered rainbow trout were also outstanding. I enjoyed every dish. It was a truly wonderful stay at this Accommodation. Thank you very much.

    It was a memorable night.

    We stayed here for a short trip at the beginning of the year. The thoughtful care from every staff member made our Chichibu trip truly memorable, thanks to Yanagiya. The accommodation is located far from the station, but upon prior consultation, they kindly provided shuttle service as much as possible to meet our requests. While there are limited staff available for shuttle service and it may not always be possible to match your exact preferred time, we greatly appreciated being able to minimize outdoor waiting time during the cold and snowy season. The meals were plentiful both in the morning and evening, leaving us very satisfied. The carp dishes and soba noodles were particularly delicious. Although one staff member apologized for a delay in serving food, we didn’t feel it was slow at all; rather, everything was well-timed with adjustments made for rice or hot pot preparation. The room and bath areas were thoroughly cleaned overall. We stayed in a spacious room in the new building and had an extremely comfortable stay. While some aspects like self-service tea might stand out compared to high-end ryokans listed on IKYU.com, this charming accommodation offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere that was perfect for us. It was an incredibly satisfying stay—thank you very much!

    A traditional Ryokan with delicious cuisine

    I stayed at the accommodation as a pre-visit stay for Mitsumine Shrine. The handmade dinner was served warm and timely, with a variety of dishes that were very delicious. The final chestnut rice and soba noodles left me completely satisfied. Both the female and male staff provided very courteous service, and the owner's pleasant personality during our brief conversation at checkout made my stay even more comfortable. Although the bathwater was lukewarm, making the outdoor bath feel a bit chilly, overall it was a wonderful accommodation. I look forward to visiting again.

    Early Summer Vacation

    The meals were very luxurious, and we enjoyed the mountain ingredients to the fullest! Initially, we only planned for dinner, but it was so delicious that we added breakfast as well! The timing was perfect for a calm and relaxing stay at the accommodation. It felt like spending a slightly grown-up summer vacation!

    The meals and bath were very satisfying.

    The meals were prepared with plenty of seasonal ingredients and were very delicious. The portions were just right, allowing us to finish everything comfortably. The bath was also very satisfying. However, the outdoor bath was on a different floor from the main bathing area, which felt slightly inconvenient. The Room was clean but quite old. The walls separating the rooms were thin, and we could clearly hear the sound of the TV from next door. Additionally, there seemed to be no Wi-Fi available; having Wi-Fi would be appreciated...

    A historic Ryokan dating back to the late Edo period

    A traditional Ryokan with a history of about 400 years. The current owner is the fourth generation and warmly welcomed us. It was quiet, and we enjoyed a relaxing time falling asleep to the sound of the flowing river. Despite late May being hot in Tokyo, it was cool and refreshing here. The Onsen made our skin smooth, and the temperature was just right—not too hot—making it very pleasant. The soba noodles were incredibly delicious, which surprised me as I usually dislike soba, but I finished every bite! All the meals were excellent. Staying here on a weekend for less than 20,000 yen offered great value for money. Driving along the road to reach this accommodation was thrilling—it truly felt like a hidden gem!

    Relax and unwind.

    I visited because I really wanted to try handmade soba. The dinner I had been looking forward to was absolutely satisfying. The breakfast the next morning was also delightful. Everything I ate was delicious. Although I no longer have a countryside home to return to, it reminded me of visiting my grandmother's house in the countryside as a child. I was able to relax and refresh during my stay.

    Found a base in Chichibu. Will visit again.

    Thank you for hosting us for the first time recently. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely exquisite. We couldn't resist having seconds of the soba noodles during dinner, but we still wanted more. The fruit liqueur was also delicious. The open-air Onsen was gentle on the skin, with perfect water temperature, making it so enjoyable to soak in. Including the indoor bath, we bathed three times in total. Although it's a bit far from our home and we can't visit frequently, we will definitely stay again when playing golf in the Chichibu area. My wife was especially delighted and kept saying "Let's come back again" multiple times on our way home. Thank you very much!

    The food is delicious.

    This time, my husband and I stayed at the property. The property is very simple. There are no souvenir shops or game corners, so you can have a very calm stay. It was soothing because it wasn't unnecessarily noisy. If you are bringing small children, it might be a good idea to prepare something to keep them entertained. The hot water, both in terms of quality and temperature, was to my liking. My skin felt smooth. We had chestnut soup for dinner. According to the owner, it takes quite a bit of effort to make, but it had a gentle flavor and was delicious. On the way, the prefectural road from R140 to the property is narrow, so you can only pass oncoming cars at the pull-off areas. I recommend driving safely while checking ahead. This is a property I would like to stay at again.

    Silence, Onsen, and Heartfelt Cuisine

    It was a mother-daughter drive to Chichibu for a 2-day, 1-night stay. We arrived much later than planned, but we were warmly welcomed. The entrance, sprinkled with water and faint incense, gave the impression of a well-curated Stays. The room was upgraded from our Reservation to a luxurious room with 13 tatami mats and a 3-tatami mat anteroom, complete with a bath and toilet, where Yui Aragaki and Tao Tsuchiya also stayed during filming. Dinner was served in a separate room, allowing us to enjoy a quiet night without sensing other guests. The open-air bath accommodated two people at a time, and although the water was lukewarm, it warmed our bodies thoroughly afterward, and my daughter even enjoyed a morning bath. At breakfast the next day, we went to the hall and discovered there were five groups of guests. The dinner, featuring rare fried Ogawa fish, wild boar hot pot, salt-grilled sweetfish, chestnut rice, chestnut potage, and more, was all delicious, especially the handmade soba, which was so exquisite that we couldn't help but overeat. Breakfast was equally delightful, with dishes like tofu hot pot with garlic chive sauce and thick salted salmon, making us forget our usual small appetites. It felt like finding a hometown Stays! It's a Property we'd love to visit again and highly recommend.
