    It was a wonderful therapeutic hot spring retreat experience.

    We stayed during the Obon holidays. We ordered an extra serving of horse sashimi for dinner and were very satisfied with how fresh it was. The radium mineral spring bath is a salty water with an iron-like scent, and it can also be drunk. With free-flowing source water, we were able to enjoy a genuine Onsen.

    It was my first visi...

    It was my first visit. Although I think many guests are regulars, the courteous service, the well-maintained building with a sense of history, the carefully prepared meals, and the radium Onsen were all wonderful and very satisfying. This is a Japanese Accommodation that stands apart from today’s stylish Hotels, and I hope it continues just as it is for years to come.

    I was interested in ...

    I was interested in radium Onsen and heard that Furoukaku is a great choice, so I stayed here for the first time. I’m not good with hot baths, so it felt cold at first, but once I got used to it, I could soak for quite a while and it was very relaxing. I’d also like to try the day-use Onsen next time. The rock bath was great too.

    It was an Onsen where I’d love to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay for therapeutic purposes. The gentle meals were also very satisfying and left me feeling truly fulfilled.

    Furokaku

    A wonderful Ryokan with a long-established feel. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to relax in the rock bath (it would be great if the hours were extended a bit). The indoor bath was listed as open from 07:00 in the morning, but in reality it seems to be available much earlier—something only regular guests know.

    It was an amazing experience.

    I visited Furokaku as my husband's health was not in the best condition. First of all, the staff's service was outstanding. I went to the front desk several times with detailed questions about our next Reservation, and both the male and female staff members responded very politely yet warmly. I believe it is quite a skill to balance "politeness" and "friendliness," but they managed it naturally, which left me very impressed. Thank you for your warm hospitality. The dining hall staff during breakfast and dinner were also very kind, making our meals enjoyable. Although it was just a one-night stay, my husband, who had been feeling increasingly unwell recently, visibly regained his energy—he even had seconds at breakfast! The Onsen lived up to its reputation; even though I currently have no health issues myself, I felt lighter and realized how much fatigue I'd been accumulating in daily life. I am deeply grateful for the effort put into maintaining such a precious natural rock bath amidst nature every day. Seeing how much better my husband felt after this visit, we decided to come back again soon and made a Reservation for a Multiple Night Stay this time!

    The hot spring water was absolutely amazing. It had a rich aroma that felt truly therapeutic. It's no surprise that 90% of the guests are regulars.

    It was a truly wonderful accommodation!

    Thank you for the wonderful experience. It was our first visit with my colleague, and the Onsen was truly remarkable with proven benefits. The accommodation has an old-fashioned charm, but hospitality is evident everywhere, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, which was very heartwarming. The meals seemed to be carefully prepared with health in mind and were absolutely delicious. (The rice, in particular, was exceptional.) This is an accommodation I would love to visit again and again. Thank you very much!
