    A Safe and Comfortable Accommodation for Family Trips with Children

    A wonderful accommodation with a warm and heartfelt hospitality. If you're expecting a "Ryokan with formal services and facilities," it might feel slightly different, but the charm of this place lies in its comfort as a "perfect homely inn." The hostess was truly amazing, showing great kindness even to us traveling with children. When we expressed concern about our kids being noisy, she warmly replied, "Anyone who complains about noise has forgotten they were once children too," which was incredibly reassuring. She interacted naturally with regular guests, creating an atmosphere that felt more like being welcomed as people rather than receiving formal "service." The meals had no written menu but were plentiful and absolutely delicious. The hostess's pride in her cooking was well justified. The bath had a slightly salty touch—perhaps due to the proximity to the coast—and was pleasantly hot, which I personally loved. While bedding arrangements were self-service, it felt like part of this accommodation's unique style. One memorable moment was when the front desk closed at 10 PM; the hostess gave us her personal phone number saying, “If anything happens during the night—like if your child gets sick—just call me anytime!” Her genuine care brought smiles all around—a level of personal attention rarely found in standardized Ryokans. This is not for those seeking formal Ryokan services but perfect for anyone who values human warmth, home-like stays, and hearty meals that leave you full and satisfied. For these reasons, I give this accommodation top marks across all aspects and would love to visit again!

    A cozy accommodation with delicious cuisine where you can relax and unwind.

    I stayed with my daughter at this accommodation. I chose it after reading reviews about its delicious cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. The steamed abalone and simmered golden eye snapper recommended by the hostess, as well as the sashimi and other dishes, were truly delicious and visually stunning. There are three baths available for private use, allowing us to relax at our own pace. I would definitely love to visit again!

    Clean and Comfortable Accommodation

    Visited during the year-end peak season. The accommodation feels like a mix between a Ryokan and a guesthouse, with self-service futons. We chose this place for its cuisine, which was absolutely delicious. What made us want to return was the cleanliness throughout, including the bath, and the overall comfort of our stay. The provided loungewear with Mao-collar tops and bottoms was also a nice touch as it kept us warm and stayed in place well. The bath being fed by natural hot spring water was another highlight; however, since it was quite hot initially, we recommend adjusting the temperature before undressing to avoid feeling cold while waiting. The scent of cypress wood added to the relaxing experience.

    Affordable and Relaxing Accommodation

    I visit this accommodation once or twice a year. The dinner portions are always more than enough, and every dish is fresh and incredibly delicious. There are three family baths, including open-air ones, and with the limited number of rooms, you can enjoy the luxury of using all three. Additionally, since public transportation in Minami-Izu is not very convenient, it makes for an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility. The best recommendation point: There are no noisy disturbances from neighboring countries here. This place is highly recommended for those looking for true relaxation and peace.

    The bath and cuisine were exceptional.

    Located near Yumigahama Beach, just across the road from "Minami Izu Kyukamura." The bus stop is also nearby. Arrived on the 15:33 bus along with two other groups. The check-in counter was managed by one person, making it quite busy. The impression of the accommodation is somewhere between a Ryokan and a guesthouse. The room was a Japanese-style tatami room. Since I was alone, the futon was already laid out in advance, but for the two-person groups, they were asked to lay it out themselves due to space constraints in an approximately 8-tatami-sized room. There are three baths that can accommodate about four people each. Reservations are made by writing your room number and name at the entrance of each bath area. Each session lasts 50 minutes with an additional 10 minutes allocated for cleaning or tidying up. Bath hours end at 23:00; I enjoyed one bath before dinner, another after dinner, and one more before breakfast (morning hours are from 6:00 to 9:00). Two of these baths have open-air Onsen facilities. The water is not "Onsen kakenagashi" but rather "Gensen kakenagashi," meaning no added water or temperature adjustments have been made beforehand—guests adjust the temperature themselves using cold water if needed. It took me about five minutes to adjust initially but found this process enjoyable as part of the experience. Dinner starts at either 18:00 or 18:30; I chose 18:30. Shortly after starting, they brought freshly cooked simmered Kinmedai (golden eye snapper), which they recommended eating while warm for its fluffy texture. However, since I wanted to enjoy it later after appetizers and sashimi, it cooled down slightly and became firmer—choosing an earlier start time might have been better. The sashimi included tuna (likely young tuna), three types of white fish, and shrimp (possibly raw kuruma-ebi with boiled heads). While delicious overall, there were no explanations about what types of fish were served—a bit disappointing not knowing exactly what we ate. The Kinmedai portion was large (half a fish) with flavorful broth so good that despite being full by then—I poured some over rice as my final bite! Breakfast felt like classic Ryokan-style morning fare featuring sweet tamagoyaki (which I personally love), maguro yamakake (grated yam over tuna), thickly cut grilled dried horse mackerel fillet among other dishes—all so tasty that I ended up having three bowls of rice! After settling payment around nine o'clock past checkout preparation began leisurely until leaving close-to-scheduled departure via ten-o-four-bus-stop timing-wise left keys unattended apologetically promising return someday soon again!

    Ichibankan-san!! Extremely satisfied!! You must go!!

    This time, I used the property for a motorcycle touring trip!! The meals were very plentiful, and each dish was filled with the chef's skill and care. They were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, leaving me completely satisfied until the very end!! The baths included three open-air onsen, all available for private reservation. I could leisurely soak in the natural hot spring water, and each one was an excellent onsen!! The proprietress and all the staff treated us with great courtesy, even seeing us off after checkout. Their thoughtfulness truly touched my heart!! I think this is a property I'd like to use not just every year but several times a year!! You must go first!!

    The food is delicious!

    We visited for a family trip after reading a review that praised the delicious meals. The property is conveniently located right in front of Yumigahama, just steps from the bus stop. After checking in, we immediately took a walk to Yumigahama to work up an appetite for the much-anticipated dinner. Our family was delighted with the impressive sashimi platter and splendid kinmedai brought to our room. Every seafood dish was fresh and delicious, which made my mother very happy. Of course, breakfast also met our expectations with high quality; we enjoyed every bit of the dried horse mackerel without leaving anything behind. We travel about twice a month, and this property offers quite a high level of satisfaction. The onsen is on the hotter side, so it's best enjoyed while stirring it around; we particularly liked the bath with blue curtains as it had just the right temperature and used it both at night and in the morning. Despite unfortunate weather conditions, my family was very pleased, making it a great success! Thank you to everyone at Ichibankan (Ichibankan).

    A cozy Stays

    Amenities and facilities vary according to individual preferences, but the essentials are provided. There are lotions and emulsions available, as well as several types of shampoo and conditioner. There are three onsens, all of which can be reserved for private use, allowing you to relax at your own pace (salt-based onsen). Indeed, being able to enjoy a leisurely bath is one of the pleasures of travel. The meals were delicious for both dinner and breakfast. Since it is close to Yumigahama (Yumigahama), you can also take a walk. It is a very comfortable property.
