The meals and overall satisfaction are beyond 5 stars.
I didn’t expect the meals to be this delicious. Both dinner and breakfast were extremely satisfying. I relaxed in the Onsen and was able to sleep well through the night.

Highly satisfied with the meals
Just as the Reviews said, the meals (dinner and breakfast) were very delicious, and we were able to dine quietly, relax, and take our time. It seemed to be family-run, and the mother’s hospitality was attentive, gentle, warm, and wonderful. The Room was spacious with a nostalgic Onsen Ryokan feel. The bath is small, but you can see greenery through the window and enjoy a pleasant soak. I’ve stayed at many different types of Hotels in Hakone, but this Accommodation felt like an elegant guesthouse.

Both dinner and brea...
Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The futons were laid out in the adjoining Room, so we could relax comfortably.

The best-value Ryokan in Hakone
As the title says, I think this may be the best value-for-money Ryokan in Hakone. I was looking forward to the meals because of the high reviews, and I was truly amazed that they could serve so many delicious dishes at this price. Not only dinner but also breakfast offered a variety of small portions, and everything was genuinely delicious. Above all, I loved the gentle flavors. Also, even in Hakone there are places where the Onsen uses a circulation system and you can sometimes notice a strong chlorine smell, but here it was free-flowing, and the water felt wonderful. There is no open-air bath, but we were able to use it privately at night, so we could relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. The Room was spacious and clean, and I was impressed by how well everything was maintained. I also forgot something behind, and they kindly went out of their way to deliver it to the bus stop—I really appreciated that. From the second floor we could see Owakudani and the ropeway in the distance, and in the morning we could hear birds singing—it truly made for a wonderful stay. If I have another opportunity, I would love to visit again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

You will be very satisfied with the meals.
We chose this property for the excellent meals and the small number of guest rooms. The food was truly delicious and plentiful, with a great selection of drinks as well—our whole family was very satisfied. Breakfast also had an impressive variety and was delicious! The Onsen had a refreshing quality and was easy to enjoy. I like open-air baths, but since there wasn’t one, I’m giving it 4 stars. The Facility was beautifully decorated with flowers, clean, quiet, and with few rooms—overall we were very satisfied. However, the stairs up to the entrance were a bit challenging, and I worried that guests with mobility issues might not be able to manage them, so I’m giving it 4 stars. All the staff greeted us with smiles and were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you!

I felt calm and refreshed.
Although it is a small Hotel with only six Rooms, I was very satisfied. This year I have visited Hakone four times. I stayed at different Hotels, starting with Miyanosita Fujiya Hotel. Each has its own strengths, but this one has fewer Rooms and feels a bit old; however, it is quiet both inside the building and during meals. The staff were very attentive, the food was delicious, and I left feeling refreshed and happy. The men’s bath is small, but you can reserve it for private use and also use the women’s bath, so it was more than sufficient. Thank you very much.

The warm atmosphere and delicious meals make me want to visit again.
I was extremely satisfied, as delicious food is the most important factor for me when choosing an Accommodation. Especially for those who love Japanese cuisine, I was deeply impressed by the careful seasoning and presentation—like kaiseki—as well as the beautiful tableware. The drinks were also excellent. I thought I knew Hakone well, but I realized I didn’t truly understand its terrain; the magnificent view overlooking Owakudani took me by surprise. Every Facility was clean and comfortable, and I wasn’t bothered at all by noise from other Rooms or conversations in the dining area, which made for a wonderful trip. As for the baths… in the smaller one, it would be nice if the window were a bit lower so you could enjoy the view. Please consider it through crowdfunding! Still, the water was great. With a small team taking care of guests, it felt warm and personal rather than manual-driven, and it made me want to return again. Thank you very much.

The cuisine is exceptional.
The room was clean and tidy, and the bath left my skin feeling smooth. There were many dishes, and the seasoning was excellent. It has become one of the accommodations I want to visit again.

Highly satisfied!
I made a reservation after reading reviews about the delicious food. As mentioned in the reviews, both dinner and breakfast were incredibly tasty, and I was very satisfied. The meals were hearty and filling for both morning and evening! The heartfelt service from the staff who served us made the experience very pleasant, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful time. Although the building shows its age, it is well-maintained and clean, making it very comfortable to stay in. I would love to visit again.

It is a great accommodation.
The building felt old, but it was thoroughly cleaned except for the bathroom and sink area. When I first used the bath, I thought it was "old," but after using it two or three times, I came to appreciate its retro charm—I actually liked it! It’s definitely a bath that foreign guests would enjoy. With only six groups per day, it was almost like having a private bath. The hot water quality was excellent as well. The staff provided exceptional service, and above all, the food was incredibly delicious—definitely among the best I've ever had. This accommodation offers outstanding cuisine and retro charm as its highlights. I would love to visit again if given the chance. Thank you for your hospitality!

It was a great value for the price.
The hotel is clean but a bit old, and the facility may not be the most modern... However, the food was incredibly delicious and surprising! The staff's hospitality was excellent, and I was very satisfied. Honestly, it was worth more than its price! I would love to visit again.

Accommodation with Delicious Meals
As mentioned in other reviews, the meals were very delicious both in the morning and evening. The building has many stairs, which might be challenging for those with weak legs. The room was simple, and the chair with an ottoman and floor cushions were perfect for relaxing. For my partner's birthday, a surprise cake was prepared. In hindsight, it might have been more surprising to request it during the meal rather than in the room (this was my choice though). With only six rooms available, it was quiet, peaceful, and allowed us to relax fully. Thank you very much!

Relax and unwind.
It was quiet and relaxing. If I may be indulgent, the portion sizes were a bit too large. I think 2-3 fewer dishes would have been fine (just my personal opinion). That said, the food was absolutely delicious.

It was a relaxing experience.
The entrance is simple, but the atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. The Onsen temperature was just right, allowing for a soothing soak even in the height of summer. The meals were made with a variety of ingredients; though each portion was small, I felt full by the end. It would have been even better if there was a coffee machine available, but the view from the room and the sounds of cicadas and birds were truly healing.

Excellent service, high-quality Onsen, and amazing meals!
I had a very comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely the meals. Despite not being a large Ryokan, the quality of the cuisine was outstanding. The kaiseki meal could easily be worth 23,000 yen, and the presentation of each dish was also impressive. The staff were attentive, promptly refilling water or tea when it ran out, which showed great hospitality. The Onsen is small but gave an exceptionally pleasant feeling compared to other Onsen experiences I've had. Once again, I must emphasize that the food is truly delicious!

Lingering Taste of Delight
The meals were even more delicious than expected! Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying in quality and quantity. Rice is served in smaller portions, but you can ask for refills without hesitation. Enjoy the presentation and tableware as well. Thank you very much!

The meals were very satisfying. The bath was quite disappointing.
- Stayed in mid-November. - Parking: The parking lot is not paved, so the footing is poor on rainy days. - Access from the parking lot to the entrance: There is only a gravel path and stairs. The ends of the stairs were quite dirty. It seemed that cleaning was not done frequently. There is no staff to greet you, so it's better to carry luggage that you can manage by yourself. - Room: The Room itself seems old, but the air conditioning and other facilities have been modernized, so I was able to stay comfortably. I wasn't bothered by noise from the next Room. However, the toilet was narrow. For a large man, it might be quite difficult to enter and close the door. - Bath: There is one bath for men and one for women. There is no open-air bath. You can't enjoy the view either. The men's bath is so small that it can barely fit three men at the same time. It's dark. I didn't feel like staying long. - Meals: Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The portions were sufficient for us. - Service: Both the owner and the staff were friendly and left a good impression. - Overall: The meals are highly recommended. However, the bath was quite disappointing. It may not be possible to expand, but it would be better to ensure thorough cleaning and brighten the overall atmosphere for a more comfortable stay.

It was comfortable.
It was a small property with 6 groups per day. It felt as comfortable as being at home. The food was delicious, and I think it's a property that makes you want to visit again.
