    It helped me feel centered!

    The building and Rooms are certainly old, but the view from the lobby, the delicious meals made with care using local ingredients, the hot Onsen, and above all, the pleasant hospitality of the staff made our stay very comfortable. Thank you for taking such good care of us. I would like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

    Even one night will leave you feeling refreshed. You’ll want to stay longer.

    We stayed for one night with our child. When making the Reservation, entering an infant meant no Rooms appeared (probably due to the number of guests), but they responded quickly and helped us right away. They also laid out extra futons so we could sleep comfortably—I think they took our family size into consideration. They neatly re-tied our child’s loosened yukata, and their friendly conversation during meals made us feel at ease. It was a truly blissful time that naturally brought smiles. We also enjoyed two types of private baths. The stars were beautiful, and both adults and children could relax and enjoy the Onsen comfortably. The meals were delicious, and we were surprised by how lavish the children’s meal was as well. It was an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

    The meals are excellent.

    The seasoning of the dishes was particularly wonderful and impressive. The staff's attentiveness was excellent, the hot spring quality was superb, and it was a very comfortable accommodation. I would love to visit again! Thank you!

    I would love to stay here again.

    The meals are excellent, and the hot water was wonderful. This accommodation perfectly matches the tagline "Rejuvenate Your Soul." It offers a peaceful and private atmosphere where you can truly relax. The shuttle service from Obuse is much appreciated, and every staff member is exceptionally pleasant. One drawback is the design of the large public bath; water used in one washing area tends to flow into others, which seems to be a structural issue. Using faucets closer to the bathtub might help as they are upstream. The "Kotori no Yu" bath was absolutely fantastic. I would love to stay here again!

    春夏秋冬の素晴らしさ

    A relaxing accommodation with natural scenery and soothing baths.

    The outdoor "Kotori no Yu" bath, with a backdrop of the forest and mountain stream, was truly delightful and rejuvenating. The staff at the accommodation kindly shared information about local attractions and shops in Takayama Village, which made it easy to explore even without a car. I was amazed by the famous Kaminari Waterfall, enjoyed a mini trekking course called "Mai no Michi" inspired by Akiko Yosano's tea ceremony path, and visited nearby onsen spots and chic cafes during my three-day, two-night stay. The meals were thoughtfully prepared for a multiple night stay, paired perfectly with locally produced glass wine from Takayama Village. While the facility shows its age in some areas, it has a nostalgic charm that made my time there comfortable thanks to everyone's hospitality. I look forward to visiting again if I have another opportunity!

    The meals and baths are all excellent at this accommodation.

    Meals are a series of delightful surprises. Both dinner and breakfast feature exquisite dishes that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. The round open-air bath is especially soothing, with silky smooth water that warms you to the core. The sound of the waterfall and the surrounding scenery are simply breathtaking. The staff's attentiveness, greetings, and thoughtful gestures were truly heartwarming. Enjoy complimentary drinks served in ceramic cups at the lounge. Everything was perfect in every way. I look forward to staying here again—thank you very much!

    A quiet and soothing Stays

    I like small Stays. I was able to spend a relaxing time enjoying a private open-air bath while watching the snowy scenery, or having coffee in the lounge. Both dinner and breakfast had a lot of dishes and were delicious. This time, I didn't explore the onsen town, so next time I would like to stay for two nights and enjoy Yamada Onsen more. I was able to sleep soundly and quietly at night. Thank you for your hospitality.

    I was very satisfied with the attentive care that anticipated my needs. As it is a long-established property, there were parts where the facility felt old, but it was kept clean and the customer service more than made up for it!

    I felt very healed.

    The Onsen was just the right temperature, allowing for a leisurely soak. For both dinner and breakfast, we thoroughly enjoyed the local ingredients. The locally produced cider was also very delicious, and we bought some as souvenirs at the Spa Wine Center across from the Fukeikan. In the lobby lounge on the first floor, enjoying coffee, tea, and ice cream while gazing at the scenery made us forget the passage of time. I hope to visit during each season.

    It is a property I would like to stay at again.

    This is my second visit following 2022. Since my last visit, I hadn't been able to travel anywhere due to circumstances, but finally, I had the opportunity. I decided on my destination with the desire to stay at Fukeikan in my beloved Nagano. The 12-tatami Room at Ontamaso, which had a nice atmosphere during my previous stay, was no longer available, but I was truly satisfied with the Tenkū no Kotori Bath (this time round) and the large public bath, and above all, the unforgettable luxurious meals with their carefully prepared dishes. The pleasantness of the staff providing service was exceptional. Fukeikan, where I was truly satisfied, is a recommended Ryokan that I would like to visit again. On the morning of the day I returned this time, snow was fluttering, and I filmed the snow dancing in the valley from the large window. I hope to come next time when the snow is piled up. Thank you for your hospitality.

    It was an enjoyable trip.

    I stayed with a friend for a fall foliage trip. The view of the autumn leaves from the large window in the room was wonderful. The onsen was slightly slippery and felt very pleasant. As for the meals, both dinner and breakfast were creatively prepared and very delicious, so we finished everything. The staff's service with smiles was also great. It's a property that makes you want to visit again. Thank you very much.

    The cuisine is excellent.

    The luggage was carried from the car but left on the lobby table, and after check-in, I went to the Room myself without any guidance, and nothing was said about the bag being there. I didn't mind not having it carried, but I would have appreciated a word saying the luggage was placed here. The futon was already laid out in the Room, so there was no disturbance, allowing me to relax, and all the food was very delicious. I tried the morning konjac curry for the first time, and it was delicious with a spicy kick.
