    Enjoy a comfortable stay.

    Although the building and Room are not the newest, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality—clearly reflecting excellent training—felt genuinely warm rather than scripted. The food was also stylish and delicious, and we had a very comfortable stay.

    The location is excellent.

    Since we traveled by train, the Shuttle Service to and from the station was very helpful. The location, about halfway between Lake Kinrin and the station, was ideal for sightseeing. All of the staff were full of hospitality. Perhaps because the Reviews were so good and my expectations were high, the Room felt a bit dated and there was a dusty smell throughout. There were about five steps even to reach the elevator, so while they helped with my suitcase, it was a little inconvenient. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast; everything was delicious. The in-room coffee was limited to one cup per person and wasn’t to my taste. I wished there had been good coffee available in the lounge.

    Both the meals and staff service are excellent.

    The view of Mount Yufuin from the room window was breathtaking! From check-in, the staff provided attentive and polite service, making our stay truly wonderful. The amenities were thoughtfully prepared and perfect. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Located right in the heart of Yunohira Kaido, it’s ideal for sightseeing and highly recommended!

    A Ryokan with exceptional and attentive service

    Although I arrived late, I was warmly welcomed at the parking lot. The staff who guided me to my Room was very polite. Both the meals in the morning and evening, as well as the service, were excellent, allowing me to enjoy a pleasant stay. I would love to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    76-year-old female solo traveler (?)

    I had been wanting to stay at “Hanamura” for a long time, and I decided to go on short notice this time. It was the first time I’ve stayed at such a pleasant Accommodation, and I was very satisfied. You can feel the proprietress’s thoughtful attention in every detail. The staff were also very courteous, the meals were creative Japanese cuisine with well-balanced flavors, the tableware was beautiful, and everything was kept impeccably clean—I’m truly glad I came. For me, a comfortable Accommodation matters more than an overly luxurious one. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I stayed for 2 nights during my first trip to Yufuin. The accommodation included a room with an Onsen and a plan with breakfast only. While Yufuin has many high-class accommodations, the great points of this accommodation were its convenient access to the station and tourist spots, as well as the excellent Onsen. As I was traveling alone for 2 nights, it was more than comfortable enough for me. Although IKYU described it as "casual," it exceeded my expectations, and I’m truly glad I chose to stay here. The private bath in the room was wonderful, but I also enjoyed the large public bath available 24 hours a day, especially the open-air bath which was very relaxing. I hardly encountered other guests and could enjoy soaking in peace. Breakfast varied between Day 1 and Day 2; personally, I preferred the Western-style meal. This is definitely an accommodation I'd like to use again when visiting Yufuin in the future. Thank you very much!

    Accommodation for Two Women Traveling Together

    Visited Yufuin for a long-awaited trip with a friend from my school days. Located near Lake Kinrin, the accommodation is on a lively street bustling with tourists, yet inside it was peaceful and relaxing. The Onsen had a smooth water quality, and the open-air bath was fantastic! The meals were delicious, and above all, the staff's attentive hospitality made this accommodation truly special. Thank you for taking care of us!

    The perfect accommodation for women’s preferences!

    Women receive a charming rattan-style pochette for use when visiting the large communal bath, which they can take home. True to its name as an "Aromatic Accommodation," the pleasant aroma fills the space, and thoughtful touches designed to delight women are found throughout. Perhaps due to the high number of female guests, I, as a male guest, enjoyed a quiet and relaxing time with less crowded baths. However, women may experience some congestion depending on timing. That said, there is a private bath available without prior reservation if it's not occupied and located conveniently next to the large communal bath—making it manageable with good planning. The meals were delicious and elegantly presented while offering generous portions. The staff's constant smiles added to an exceptional experience. Located on Yufuin's main street, it’s incredibly convenient for shopping and strolling around town. There is parking easily accessible from the road behind the accommodation (which functions as its main entrance for cars). However, unaware of this at first, I ended up navigating through Yufuin’s bustling main street to reach the front parking lot—a bit challenging! For those arriving by car, using the rear parking lot is recommended. Morning coffee served on an impressive ancient Yakusugi cedar table was another highlight. After returning home, I promptly received a thank-you postcard—a testament to their heartfelt hospitality at this outstanding accommodation!

    Good.

    Stayed at the end of March with two people and chose a room with an open-air bath, which was an excellent choice. The quality and temperature of the hot spring were perfect. The facility had staff names, photos, and handmade signs displayed throughout, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Its proximity to Yunohana Kaido also makes it very convenient.

    It was a wonderful Property!

    Stayed in mid-February for a solo trip. I rarely give full stars, but this was perfect with nothing to deduct! ○ Room It was a maisonette type, with the lower floor having a washbasin, toilet, bathroom, and living room. Upstairs was the bedroom. In the spacious living room, I enjoyed delicious water from Yufuin and coffee in comfort! ○ Onsen There were family baths and a large public bath; family baths could be used anytime if available. Both the changing rooms and bathrooms were clean with plenty of amenities. The large public bath even had straightening irons and curling tongs available. ○ Dining I had both dinner and breakfast there; the variety was good, service timing was excellent, and everything tasted very delicious! ○ Service All staff members were wonderful! Their sense of distance was appropriate, reflecting Japan's unique hospitality. I understood when they mentioned during my return shuttle service that they treat guests as if welcoming back family members. It is such an amazing property that I would love to have a multiple night stay next time and bring my mother along too.

    Thoughtful Stays

    I was traveling alone and using a cane due to limited mobility, but I received very kind assistance. The hostess and all the staff were overflowing with hospitality, and there were convenient items everywhere, making it feel like a Property that understands women's needs. Despite being in a convenient location, the premises were quiet, and I could enjoy the Onsen anytime if the family bath was available. I would like to become a repeat visitor.

    It is located along ...

    It is located along the Yunotsubo Kaido, and it was a bit difficult to get into the hotel parking lot because there were many tourists walking around during the holiday. Although it was drizzling, they greeted us with umbrellas. All the staff served us with smiles. The guest room was also clean. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the private bath due to bad timing. Even after checking out, we were allowed to leave our car in the parking lot and go shopping at nearby stores. This trip with my daughter was very satisfying. Thank you very much.
