The view feels like Hawaii, but the Facility is a bit disappointing.
We stayed for two nights right after the May holidays. The rainy season had started, but we were lucky to have sunny weather during our stay. The view of the beach from the Hotel was so beautiful it could be mistaken for Hawaii. The Hotel seems popular with Western guests, and the poolside was almost entirely Western visitors. The Hotel was designed by a famous architect and has abundant greenery, which is wonderful. However, even though the Room has been renovated (not a full renovation—such as the bathroom and toilet), there was a musty smell when we entered. There are also steps in some areas, so you need to watch your footing. I also used the gym, but it doesn’t seem to have been renovated and looks quite worn down. There were no towels or water available either. What disappointed me most was being shocked when a large insect came out from behind a yoga mat in the gym. We used the club lounge Plan and visited the lounge. The view from there is amazing, but I was disappointed that what was offered was below other Hotels’ standards. Since it’s a nice lounge space, I hope they will look at what other Hotels provide for reference. There is no card-key security at the club lounge entrance, and there are hardly any staff inside, so even guests without a lounge Plan could enter (without realizing). Also, there are deck chairs by the pool reserved for lounge guests; although there is a small sign at the entrance, it does not include Japanese characters, so I saw people lying there for long periods without knowing they were reserved. I would like better monitoring of this area. Lastly, when staff helped carry my trunk from my Room, I was asked if there were any fragile items inside—and then told “I sometimes drop things.” That really shocked me; it’s better not to say things that make guests feel uneasy. In any case, as shown in my photos, the scenery was outstanding. Breakfast could be changed to lunch free of charge; lunch had more menu options including cake, crab, and steak—great value overall. I hope to see improvements to Facilities in future updates.

Every year, we’re able to relax and unwind thanks to the excellent location and the unhurried pace of time here. Thank you.

Welcome back!
Every visit feels like paradise. This time, I brought my elderly parents, and they were thrilled, saying, “It’s closer than Hawaii—how nice!” The grounds are spacious, so they enjoyed exploring and admiring the beautifully maintained flowers throughout. It was a wonderful trip.

A Hotel that feels like another world—one you’ll want to return to again and again
This was my third stay. When choosing both the sea and a comfortable Hotel on Okinawa’s main island, I always end up wanting to stay here. For me, Moon Beach in Onna Village is the most beautiful, and this Hotel has a charm that enhances the beach’s appeal. The well-maintained greenery that blends into the beach and the low-rise design that makes great use of the pool Facility create a calm atmosphere that feels like being in another world. I can also sense the unseen efforts and thoughtfulness of the staff, who respond so gently, and I have never once felt uncomfortable here. The Room, pool, and lounge are all clean, you can feel the breeze, and it’s so comfortable that I want to stay for hours. Meals are breakfast buffet only, but there is a wide variety. I stayed three nights; I don’t think the menu changed much, but there were enough options that I didn’t get bored. Even in April it was around 28°C, so we could swim in the sea. Near one end of the beach there are fish swimming around, which you can enjoy watching with goggles. Also, I hope you’ll visit Yo Island managed by this Hotel at least once—there is a guide included and you can snorkel comfortably and have a great time. At night, because of its convenient location, restaurants are just a short walk away—and even after drinking you can walk back easily, which is another plus. One thing: I wish the laundry area had fewer broken machines/parts and felt a bit cleaner. Keeping all of what makes this Hotel special—I know it must be hard work for everyone on staff—I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed at this Hot...
I stayed at this Hotel because I wanted to visit the annual “Yachimun Market” held at Moon Beach Hotel once a year. It’s a wonderful Hotel that makes you forget you’re in Japan, and I was also given a Room upgrade, which made it a truly valuable experience. Thank you very much. I would love to stay again. However, perhaps because the building is older, I was a little disappointed that the shower water pressure was weak. Other than that, I was very satisfied.

If you want to enjoy beautiful seas and scenery, start with Moon Beach.
Moon Beach, the oldest Resort Hotel in Okinawa, offers a stunning building and views of the distant Zanpa Lighthouse and the sea where the sunset sinks. The public bath is simple and user-friendly, providing a perfect place to relax your mind. I always include breakfast, which is delicious and makes for an excellent morning experience in a pleasant atmosphere. This is my fifth visit, and it truly is a Resort Hotel that makes you want to return again and again.

The public bath is open for all guests to enjoy freely.
It was the worst experience. Due to the busy season of school trips, various high schools were coming and going, and it seemed that cleaning couldn't keep up. On the third day, when I returned to my room in the evening, there were no fresh towels or any signs of cleaning. I had to get towels from the front desk myself. On the first night, loud noises of furniture being moved came from a neighboring Room; it seemed like they weren't just cleaning thoroughly but rather struggling to keep up with basic tasks. The worst part was the public bath. I was the only Japanese person there alongside two Westerners who entered wearing swimsuits and even started taking photos with their smartphones. Two other guests from Korea came straight from a pool in wet swimsuits, washed their swimsuits in the bath area without soaking in the tub, and then left. The next day, wanting to avoid meeting those Westerners again after last night’s experience, I waited two hours before heading back to find myself once again as the only Japanese person among ten foreigners—including those same two Westerners—this time without swimsuits but bringing items from outside into the changing area. Additionally, an East Asian guest exited the sauna without wiping off sweat before using a toilet and then went straight into a cold bath afterward—absolutely appalling behavior for such facilities. I reported these issues at reception suggesting clearer guidelines on bathing etiquette through multilingual explanations or illustrated signs at an entrance counter near baths; however both staff members appeared indifferent while others merely offered brief apologies. By Day 2 something became clear: why does this Hotel lack smiling staff? It seems rooted within poor communication between employees themselves—not working collaboratively nor showing mutual care during duties performed together here daily! At breakfast venue mornings greeted warmly “Good morning!” yet smaller male workers failed returning smiles greetings alike ignored entirely meanwhile thanking cleaners maintaining dressing areas also went unnoticed unacknowledged altogether disappointingly so overall atmosphere soured further still despite prime location potential squandered entirely mismanagement evident throughout operations Excellent
It was a wonderful Hotel, just as beautiful as the photos. We had an amazing time collecting seashells on the beach and swimming in the outdoor pool. The indoor pool was not heated due to the season, so it was slightly cold, and we only dipped our feet in. Personally, I loved the water lily pots scattered around the property; they were so calming to look at. There was also a small pond with what seemed like medaka fish swimming around. I noticed some international travelers and school trip students during my stay, but since rooms seemed to be spaced apart, it wasn’t noisy at all. It was great that we could paint Shisa statues or whale sharks without much time restriction. The multiple showers along the paths from the pool and beach were very convenient, as well as having a spin dryer available for wet clothes. Overall, it was such a lovely stay! I would love to visit this Hotel again someday for a relaxing trip. Thank you very much!

It was in Hawaii.
The view from the open entrance was just like Hawaii we visited last year. The Room was spacious and very comfortable. The morning restaurant had no waiting line, making it stress-free. Breakfast tickets could be exchanged for lunch, which included luxurious options like steak and crab. Right outside the Hotel, there were convenience stores and a sanshin izakaya, so we had everything we needed. We would love to visit this Hotel again!

Last Summer
Compared to when I stayed two years ago, the breakfast variety has decreased. There was hardly any Okinawan cuisine. Omelettes are freshly made at the open kitchen and are fluffy and delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel and beach feels like being overseas, which is very lovely. The sea is crystal clear, and you can see the bottom. Highly recommended for relaxing at the pool or beach.

A wonderful Hotel.
I have stayed at this accommodation for two consecutive years. For me, everything about this hotel is exceptional, including the staff's hospitality, the room, services, meals, facilities, price, and location. I have stayed at several hotels in Okinawa Prefecture, all of which were wonderful. However, this hotel is so outstanding that I want to keep coming back repeatedly. I will stay here again next year and the year after that as well. Thank you in advance!

Moon Beach is amazing!
It was our first visit to Moon Beach Hotel in 5 years (as repeat guests), and we were very satisfied with the trip thanks to the wonderful location and service, just as before. The friendliness of the staff was delightful. I was surprised that the staff at the shop remembered me and my daughter. What made us happiest was that they prepared a fruit platter in our room to celebrate my daughter's birthday and even upgraded our room. We stayed for 5 nights this time, but we wished we could have stayed longer. We truly felt refreshed. We'll be back again next summer vacation, so thank you in advance!

A hotel with the closest atmosphere to an overseas resort in Japan.
I have been visiting Okinawa, including both the main island and remote islands, 4-5 times a year for the past 20 years. Regardless of price range, I have stayed at various accommodations, but I believe this hotel offers the closest atmosphere to an overseas resort. There are other resorts like Halekulani Okinawa or The Terrace Hotels with modern and beautiful facilities, top-notch hospitality, and prestigious restaurants. However, truly relaxing resorts that soothe both body and mind—like Tanjung Sari in Bali—are extremely rare. This hotel feels like one of those special places. Its unique location and design create a secluded beach resort ambiance within Japan by being shielded by the hotel's structure itself. Sinking into a sofa in the corner of the bar during midday while enjoying a refreshing sea breeze with a cold beer is simply unbeatable. The service and cuisine are not bad at all. If you’re not seeking absolute perfection but want to experience an Asian or Hawaiian resort vibe within Japan, this is highly recommended.

The sunset view is stunning.
The sunset was breathtakingly beautiful. The staff provided excellent service, and since I am a repeat guest, the front desk warmly said, "Welcome back," which made me very happy.

A Long-Awaited Stay at a Resort Hotel
I chose this Hotel with a private beach because it was more affordable than others, and the building is modern and stylish! The beach is beautiful, and there’s also a heated pool. I didn’t swim, but I think kids would love it. I reserved a Green View Room but was upgraded to an Ocean View Room, which made me very excited. I stayed for two nights with a dinner-included Plan, but unfortunately, the buffet menu was almost the same both nights. It would be nice if we could choose the Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor... For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese cuisine or buffet. The freshly made omelet was delicious!

The building is clean and well-maintained.
The design of the Hotel was very beautiful. The Room's interior was well-coordinated. However, the customer service left an average impression, comparable to other Hotels. At the dinner venue, there was no guidance upon entry; after a while, someone noticed and came in from outside to assist. There might be inconsistencies in service quality—when loading luggage onto a cart during checkout, no assistance was provided at all. This kind of Hotel staff experience was a first for me. Overall, the Hotel itself remained beautiful—that's about it.

High cost performance
I stayed at the Club Superior Ocean View during the November holiday. The staff were consistently courteous and left a good impression. The downside was that the air conditioning was too strong upon arrival, causing condensation on the room floor. It's not a big deal, though. Lying on the bed in the room and seeing the ocean is the best. Also, I recommend having breakfast on the room terrace at least once. The beach is just a short walk down from the room, and I enjoyed the magic hour. There are convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, making the stay comfortable. It's recommended for those who prioritize privacy, as it's not too crowded. I felt it was very cost-effective. It's one of the hotels I want to revisit.

A pleasant resort atmosphere
I have visited Okinawa more than 10 times, but this was my first time staying at this property. After check-in, the guide to the room got lost and couldn't find the room, and once we arrived, they didn't know how to open the door, which was an unexpected and uneasy start. Of course, the facility is old, but the room was spacious enough, and the raised floor area was surprisingly comfortable. Above all, the atmosphere of the building, pool, and beach within the premises created a resort feel, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable 3-night stay. The club lounge offered a limited variety of drinks and food, but it was easy to enter and relax. All the staff were friendly and approachable with smiles. It is a recommended hotel to enjoy a casual resort feel rather than a luxurious one. The snorkeling at Yō Island was also great.

I was able to have a relaxing stay.
I had always wanted to stay here, and this was my first visit. It has a slightly retro, overseas resort-like atmosphere, and the view from the open-air floor is stunning, possibly one of the most beautiful in Okinawa. I was concerned because it's an old building, but the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and I would recommend this hotel if you are not particular about service.

Hotel with direct access to the sea!
I booked an ocean view room for a 2-night, 3-day stay. I spent most of my time swimming, going back and forth between the sea and the pool. However, I was told that you can't visit Yao Island without a reservation, so I missed the opportunity and didn't participate in the end. I had heard about the steps from reviews and the front desk staff, but they were everywhere, and I had to be quite careful with my footing as it was dangerous. More than that, on the first day, it was hard to sleep due to the noise from footsteps and moving chairs from the floor above. I think it would be better if soundproofing was improved. Alternatively, since it didn't seem to be fully booked, they could have considered room assignments to avoid using the room directly below or placing families with children in corner rooms. After all, I booked a considerably more expensive ocean-side room. I understood that the place was quite old, but the keys were heavy and difficult to use. (The Showa-era vibe has its pros and cons.) As for breakfast, the Japanese restaurant was closed for two days a week, and unfortunately, it was closed on Sunday, so we went on the final day, Monday. The dishes were lovely, but it was disappointing that the bowls weren't properly washed. I wish they had checked them properly.

A resort hotel where you can feel the sea and nature
It is an established resort, but I really like the excellent hotel design and landscaping. It has been in operation for 50 years, and while aging is inevitable, that is also part of its charm. It feels like being abroad. Inside, there is a pothos jungle hanging down from the 4th floor. The low-rise hotel is arranged in a V-shape surrounding the beach. The restaurant and lounge are breezy and pleasant. It has a design philosophy similar to Busena Terrace. The beach has high transparency, is just the right size, not crowded, and offers a high sense of privacy. A 15-minute boat ride from the hotel, the snorkeling tour to Yo Island is fun, popular, and recommended. I stayed in the Club Premier room. Since I don't need a kitchen and table, it would be better to divide the beds into two sets of two and place a sofa. The restaurant Collaro is very well located, close to the beach. The food is standard, decent. It's a nice system that allows you to change breakfast to lunch. There are also many Okinawan-style restaurants nearby, so it's good to try them out.
