    It was just as described in the Review.

    Just like the Reviews said, all the staff were very kind. They carried our luggage to the Room, and I was happy that I could choose the yukata and obi I liked. After we entered the Room, they explained everything, including an introduction to the Room, where the baths were, and meals. The building is old, but it was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. The large public bath is on the small side, but from the moment I stepped in I could smell the sea, and my skin felt incredibly smooth afterward. Dinner and breakfast were made entirely with ingredients from Tottori Prefecture, and I really enjoyed them. With items like turban shell (sazae) and Tottori beef packed with flavor—and with free refills of shijimi clam miso soup and rice—it was so delicious that I had two bowls of rice and two bowls of miso soup. Also, without us having to say anything, they brought tea and dessert at just the perfect timing. It was a Hotel that made me feel they truly pay attention to their guests. I’d love to stay at this Accommodation again. Thank you very much. And lastly, the sake we received as Diamond members was truly delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

    Delicious in small portions

    We chose the dinner Plan that lets you enjoy small portions of many delicious dishes, so we were able to finish everything and savor a little of each. It was also great to dine in a private room without worrying about others. We were very satisfied with the bath, the Room, and the meals.

    I had a relaxing and comfortable stay.

    Stayed for 2 nights during the consecutive holidays in September 2025. I made a last-minute reservation the evening before and requested an earlier breakfast to accommodate my early start for Mt. Daisen climbing. The Ryokan promptly responded, saying, "We can only make it about 10 minutes earlier," which I greatly appreciated given my sudden request. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, and upon departure, we received a courteous send-off. Every staff member we encountered at the front desk, dining area, and within the facility demonstrated exceptional hospitality. The room was spacious and relaxing; the large public Onsen was not crowded; meals were served individually and were all delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable stay over these two days. I look forward to staying here again during my next visit to Kaike Onsen!

    The staff provided excellent service.

    During the summer vacation, a festival was held daily, and with the service coupon included in our plan, the children had a great time. The woman at the shop was very friendly and kind, especially towards the children. Although our children were fussy upon waking up and we arrived late for breakfast, the staff kindly reassured us with thoughtful words. This made us feel more at ease than guilty for being late, allowing us to enjoy our meal peacefully. The staff's kindness made our one-night stay at the end of summer vacation relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you very much. However, it was disappointing that students seemed to dominate both the women's and men's large baths during our visit. Neither my husband nor I could enjoy soaking in peace due to overcrowding by students, so we left early. In my case at the women's bath, some students brought mobile phones into the bathing area which made me uncomfortable. Additionally, in what seemed like poor design or lack of consideration from others, students occupied all spaces near hairdryers as if it were their own home—making it impossible for me to use that area. The main purpose of our trip was swimming at the beach; however, walking there with young children felt tiring due to its distance. As for meals provided by this accommodation—some dishes tasted slightly salty or overly seasoned (perhaps soy sauce?). Of course preferences may vary depending on individual taste perceptions!

    Teppanyaki

    I was looking forward to enjoying teppanyaki. I tried various dishes and was very satisfied. Additionally, receiving information about places to visit tomorrow and engaging in enjoyable conversations made the experience even more delightful. I would love to visit again!

    It was a very nice accommodation.

    We made a reservation for accommodation following a day at the beach. It was very helpful that you provided a place to change and stored our luggage even before check-in. The beach was within walking distance, and we had a great time. Being able to rinse off sand at the shower in front of the accommodation and head straight to our room was very convenient. The staff were all polite and provided pleasant service. For meals, we only had breakfast this time, but it was a delicious Japanese-style meal served in small portions. Rice and miso soup were free to refill, so each family member could eat just the right amount to feel satisfied. Overall, we were highly satisfied with our stay. Thank you very much!

    Amazing value with amazing features

    Unbeatable price for a Ryokan stay with breakfast included at 11,695 yen. According to the site, it’s “a bit old with about five steps of stairs,” but it didn’t bother me at all. The non-barrier-free design due to the connection between two extended buildings was not an issue for me; in fact, I appreciated having a bed instead of futons. Despite being described as "a bit old," the place felt impeccably clean. If I had to nitpick, the air conditioning wasn’t very strong (it couldn’t be adjusted and didn’t cool as much as I’d like). For such an affordable price, this truly felt like an authentic Japanese accommodation experience. When parking my car, staff came out to greet me and guided me to my room. While post-COVID measures have minimized direct contact—so no tea service in the room anymore—there were tea, snacks, and even iced water prepared in advance. As someone who usually stays in Business Hotels or books group reservations (often using crew rooms), this level of hospitality made me feel deeply satisfied with a sense of traditional Japanese omotenashi. Breakfast was neither overly extravagant nor too simple—it was just right and delicious! Local ingredients were incorporated into the meal beautifully. Miso soup and rice were unlimited; although I initially planned on saving room for Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at the airport later (since I hadn’t eaten anything distinctly Hiroshima during this trip), everything tasted so good that I ended up having three servings each. While there were cheaper hotels or slightly less expensive Onsen Ryokans available nearby, choosing this well-reviewed and reputable place turned out to be absolutely worth it!

    Exceptional hospitality.

    From check-in to check-out, the service was prompt and efficient without any delays, making for a pleasant stay. The attention to detail and care were truly impressive. Despite being reasonably priced, the hospitality was excellent. Additionally, perhaps due to its proximity to Sakaiminato, the seafood was incredibly delicious. Thanks to this, both dinner and breakfast were highly satisfying. Next time, I would love to visit with an upgraded plan!

    It was polite.

    We stayed here for my eldest son's birthday trip. We inquired about a birthday cake the day before, and despite the short notice, the staff kindly accommodated our request. Thank you so much for your kindness. The Facility has a slightly old feel but is well-maintained and clean, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. The meals were delicious with just the right portions. We look forward to staying here again when we travel to the Yonago area.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The overall review rating was above 4.0, so I made the reservation with high expectations. Upon arrival, it exceeded my expectations. Despite the rain, staff promptly came out to assist as soon as we arrived at the entrance and even saw us off until our car left on departure day. Their hospitality was excellent, making the rest of our stay very pleasant. Thank you. Both breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious with well-balanced flavors. Although the accommodation felt somewhat old-fashioned, it was impeccably clean. The onsen was spacious and relaxing, helping to relieve fatigue. This accommodation truly reflects the attentive care of its staff members.

    I was very satisfied with my stay.

    Upon arrival, a female staff member greeted me at the entrance, confirmed my name, and assisted me. The check-in staff provided courteous service, and although I arrived by motorcycle, they allowed me to park in front of the entrance. The front desk staff guided me to the Room and provided explanations. The breakfast was a hearty Japanese meal that left me very satisfied.

    We enjoyed a relaxing stay in the traditional atmosphere of this long-established Ryokan.

    It was drizzling upon arrival, but the warm and pleasant service raised our expectations. However, the explanation given when we were shown to the Room felt a bit indifferent, and it seems that the level of service varies depending on the staff member. Dinner was highly satisfying, though it was slightly disappointing to see many dishes with chips or cracks.

    After the car broke down on the highway, we had to deal with the police and a tow truck. It turned into quite a challenging trip, but we made it to the Hotel by taking a train from Akasaki Station and then a bus. The warm greetings from all the Hotel staff lifted our spirits. Thank you for your attentive service, as mentioned in reviews—it's rare these days to be guided all the way to our Room. Thanks to you, what started as an unpleasant experience became something we could laugh about and cherish as a fun memory. Police, tow truck, Tsuruya Kaike—thank you for everything!

    Highly satisfied!

    We stayed as a family at the accommodation. All the staff, including the one who welcomed us, were cheerful and kind. Our child received a handmade plush toy of "Tsuru-chan" (possibly the mascot character of Tsuruyasan), which made us feel warm and happy. The room was very clean, and since we stayed in a room with an open-air bath this time, our child was overjoyed. We also visited the large public bath several times. The crab-focused meals were incredibly delicious. It was almost our first trip to Tottori, but we fell in love with it. Thank you very much!

    Dinner was disappointing.

    We stayed as a family of four during the New Year, but the dinner was very disappointing. Just when we thought the kaiseki meal was over after the dessert was served, we were presented with cold grilled turban shell and a platter of cold tempura. They would have been much more delicious if served warm. Our New Year experience was completely ruined.

    First time using at the beginning of the year

    Thank you very much for your hospitality this time. We stayed at the Property for skiing at Daisen with my wife and child after a long time. 【Room & Amenities】 It is an ordinary Japanese-style Room with nothing special. It is neither good nor bad. There is nothing noteworthy about the amenities either. 【Customer Service】 I think it was partly because we arrived a little late, but even when we pulled up to the carport, no one came out for a while. When carrying luggage to the Room, it was difficult to get it onto the elevator, and I thought it could be improved a bit. Furthermore, at the dining venue, the Japanese kaiseki meal was served one after another in about 40 minutes, making it difficult to eat in order. Even when ordering drinks, we had to wait more than 5 minutes, and I feel it's not appropriate to tell customers, "It's busy today." 【Onsen & Bath】 I have used this Stays several times, and I like the bath, but the age is starting to show a bit. 【Facility】 There are noticeable areas that seem quite old, but it feels like an ordinary Ryokan. 【Meals】 I think it was because it was New Year's, but rather than freshly made dishes, there were many cold dishes, probably because it was osechi cuisine, which was disappointing. 【Satisfaction】 Considering the price, I think we were able to stay at a reasonable rate.     We enjoyed delicious crab.

    We stayed at Tsuruya to eat crab in Tottori Prefecture. As soon as we arrived at the parking lot by car, the staff came out to guide us, and we felt comfortable with their attentiveness in every situation. Both the crab and other dishes, as well as breakfast, were very delicious. The onsen, which contains salt, was pleasant, and we would like to use it again.

    I intended to book another hotel but realized three days ago that the reservation was not made, so I hurriedly made a reservation here. Since I had already reserved dinner outside, I stayed with a one-night stay with breakfast. I booked a small room with a special plan just to have a place to stay, but they upgraded me to a larger room where I could relax. Thank you very much. The room was in the South Wing, and although the building is not new, it was thoroughly cleaned. I think it was the best cleaning and customer service among the hotels I have stayed at recently. I had breakfast in the banquet hall on the 9th floor. The view was wonderful, and both the rice and clam soup were all-you-can-eat, and they were so delicious that I wanted seconds, but I had to hold back as I planned to go food-tasting afterward. I usually prefer hotels over ryokans, but I thought it would be nice to stay here with dinner included.
