We’ll be back!
We stayed for two nights during the Golden Week holidays. The staff were very welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed Nozawa’s hot springs in comfort. It’s an ideal location for visiting the public bathhouses. We would love to stay here again.

■Enjoy Sulfur Onsen and Sotoyu Tour. A Perfect Relaxing Accommodation for Onsen Lovers
After check-in, change into a yukata and head out for the famous Nozawa Onsen Sotoyu tour. Strolling through the stone-paved streets while visiting scattered Sotoyu baths is truly one of the highlights of the trip. There’s even a “Stamp Rally” to collect stamps from 13 locations, adding a playful touch to your sightseeing experience. The baths were surprisingly hotter than expected, but by adjusting with water or stirring gently, you can gradually acclimate and fully appreciate the benefits of Onsen. At one bath, while adding water near the spout, I naturally struck up a conversation with fellow visitors—a heartwarming interaction unique to travel. Among them, "Takinoyu" left a lasting impression. Its emerald-colored water was stunningly beautiful with a strong sulfur aroma and abundant mineral deposits—an irresistible spot for sulfur spring enthusiasts. Although I couldn’t visit all 13 Sotoyu baths, enjoying several and looking back at my stamp book made for an incredibly satisfying experience. Returning to the accommodation was equally delightful; both common areas and guest rooms were impeccably clean. Recently renovated with well-equipped facilities, it offered utmost comfort. The highlight was undoubtedly the private onsen in my room featuring natural hot spring water directly sourced from "Shinyu." From the moment you open its door, you're greeted by a gentle sulfur scent that enhances your relaxation as you soak in mineral-rich waters surrounded by floating deposits—your own personal Onsen retreat. The large communal bath also provided an opportunity to enjoy different types of hot springs for added satisfaction during my stay. Meals were simple yet thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients with ample portions that struck an excellent balance between quality and price—a comforting culinary experience overall. In summary, this accommodation offers exceptional qualities: outstanding hot springs (both private and communal), comfortable rooms, convenient location near Sotoyu baths—all contributing to an unforgettable stay especially for those who love sulfur springs!

It was a great accommodation.
The location was a bit hard to find, but the excellent service, relaxing hot springs, and comfortable Room made up for it. Fireflies danced by the nearby river, and I was able to see wild fireflies for the first time in decades. The Nozawana pickles and hot springs are famous specialties, and even outside of winter, I could fully enjoy the charm of this place.

Excellent hospitality
The meals, room, and bath were all absolutely satisfying. The onsen hopping outside was wonderful, and I saw an onsen for the first time. The accommodation is located in an area with many nearby onsens to explore, and I’m truly glad we chose to stay here. Every dish was delicious, but the rice stood out—it was simply beautiful and glossy. We visited for a birthday celebration, and they kindly offered complimentary sake during dinner; we truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. I would love to visit again!

Enjoy Early Spring
In Nagano City, the plum blossoms are in full bloom, and the cherry blossoms are just starting to bud or bloom early. Taking a shuttle bus from Iiyama Station to Nozawa Onsen Village, you’ll see snow-covered rice fields stretching below. Nozawa Onsen is a delightful place for onsen hopping and strolling around. The water at the public baths is quite hot, which made it challenging for my friend to enter, but the two hot springs drawn into this accommodation have slightly lower temperatures, making them easier to enjoy. However, there are stairs leading up to the bath area that might be difficult for those with mobility issues. In Nozawa Onsen overall, buildings are constructed on slopes as if clinging to them—this accommodation is no exception. It feels like a bit of a maze but is cleverly designed not to feel cramped. The baths were surprisingly spacious compared to what you’d expect from seeing the building from the road. Meals were perfectly portioned with thoughtful attention given to each dish; everything was deliciously prepared. Above all else, we appreciated the kindness and hospitality of all staff members—they made our stay incredibly comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommended accommodation!

A cozy, hospitable Stays
I used the Property for the first time with an overseas friend. It started raining as we got off the bus, and although it was before check-in, we rushed into the Stays, and they immediately provided towels and expressed concern to prevent us from catching a cold. They kindly stored our luggage, and my friend was excitedly taking photos of the tastefully decorated lobby items and flower arrangements. The staff at the Stays considered our situation and mentioned that we might be able to check in early, asking us to call when we returned. The early relaxation in the Room was very helpful due to the unfortunate rain. Before check-in, they explained in detail with a map about how to spend time, including cafes, public baths, and local specialties, allowing us to explore the small village with the map in hand. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed two types of hot spring water. Although there was some construction inside the building, it did not affect our stay at all. We shared some sake during dinner with the apology coupon we received. The forecast of rain turning to snow at night showed their concern for guests who came by car, and their attentive and kind service made us feel that it was a hospitable Stays. The snow-covered mountain scenery the next morning was beautiful, and both my friend and I were very satisfied with our stay. We would love to stay again.
