  Because it had great reviews.

  I was looking forward to this inn because it had great reviews, but it was completely different from what I expected.\n\nI heard it’s a sister property of Sakuratei, where I’ve stayed before and had an excellent experience, so I assumed this place would be just as good—but the room was simply not comfortable.\n\nThere wasn’t even a sofa, so older guests have nowhere to relax. The bedding was unbelievably thin—just one flimsy layer.\n\nThe baths were nice, with both indoor and outdoor options.\n\nThe meals, however, were very disappointing. Breakfast in particular—who wants to eat eel first thing in the morning? Dinner included egg-over-rice, dessert was salt-pickled pear and two Shine Muscat grapes, and the shabu-shabu came with kishimen noodles with no effort such as adding miso or any other twist. The number of dishes was shockingly small.\n\nI haven’t had a bad experience in Yufuin lately, so this was truly disappointing. Because I travel often, the shortcomings really stand out.\n\nIt felt like an inbound-focused property. The staff spoke to me in English from the start, which made me uncomfortable.\n\nThey should improve many things—there are plenty of better inns elsewhere. It’s expensive for what you get.\n\nPlease look at the photos—this is all that dinner was.

  A Very Fulfilling Stay

  Choosing this place among so many options was something we truly never regretted. We had a wonderful experience! From the very first welcome drink and warm hospitality, to the meals, the private detached room, and our own bath (Onsen), plus the lounge—everything felt extraordinary, and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. It was amazing! Our trip as three women (a bit older) cousins was completely satisfying. The value for money was outstanding!!!

  This is a wonderful Accommodation!

  When making the Reservation, I requested a Room with as little walking as possible because I was traveling with my elderly mother. They prepared a Room that matched my request. The Room also had floor chairs, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. The Room, meals, Onsen, and service all exceeded my expectations, and we were able to relax completely. Although it is away from the city center, it was very quiet and peaceful—an ideal place to unwind and forget everything for a while. Thank you to all the staff. I would love to visit again.

  A Refreshing Accommodation for the Soul

  Not only the Room, but the entire Accommodation is designed as a very calm and relaxing space that feels truly refreshing. The futon is fluffy and comfortable, so you can sleep well. At night, you’ll hear only the sounds of nature, and the sunset view from the terrace of the shared lounge Room is wonderful. A morning visit to Unagihime Shrine is also recommended.

  An accommodation I would like to stay at again.

  We stayed here for a family trip. The open-air bath and meals were absolutely satisfying. The food, in particular, was incredibly delicious, and the rice was exceptional. Even though we were completely full, they made rice balls for us, which we enjoyed very much. We would love to stay at this accommodation again. Thank you!
