    Unfortunately, it was an accommodation.

    I was very disappointed by something that happened at the dinner venue. That day, with many group guests from a certain country present, one of the Hotel staff suddenly spoke to us and said, “There are three Japanese guest groups today. There are many group guests from a certain country and it will be noisy, so please put up with it.” The staff member said similar things in a loud voice to other guests who appeared to be Japanese as well. A Hotel employee speaking badly about other guests to paying customers is simply unpleasant. Don’t other employees correct this behavior? I will not return—this was the worst Accommodation.

    They provide Shuttle...

    They provide Shuttle Service by bus between the Kumano Kodo and the Hotel! When traveling by rental car, you usually need to take a bus back to the parking lot after walking the Kumano Kodo, but we were able to follow the shuttle bus, transfer to the Hotel bus at the parking lot, and be taken back to the starting point—making great use of our time. An excellent service! Conveniently located near Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and Yunomine Onsen! Around the Hotel, we enjoyed walking along the riverbed and crossing a suspension bridge. It was cherry blossom season, so we also enjoyed the scenery.

    Kumano Kodo

    I stayed here during a three-day weekend to visit the Kumano Kodo. The free Shuttle Service to the trail was very convenient. The Room was a spacious and clean Japanese-Western style room. I made the Reservation without realizing it was No Meals Included, so I had dinner at the dining area by the large public bath, which was beautifully lit up. For breakfast the next morning, I was able to reserve rice balls. The shop had a wide variety of souvenirs, but when I tried to buy some at the station on my way home, there was nothing available. I should have bought them at the Accommodation.

    A relaxing accommodation to unwind and rejuvenate after exploring the Kumano Kodo.

    A journey through Nakahechi in the rain, warmed by the Onsen for a chilled body. The staff at the accommodation were kind, and the interior was adorned with many beautiful paintings. The room was spacious and lovely. Additionally, the meals were delicious, and we added Amago sake, which was also delightful.

    It was a very nice accommodation!

    I stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience! - First, the staff's natural hospitality was outstanding. During checkout, an elder staff member carried our luggage to the parking lot and waved us off with both hands, which made us very happy. - The meals were delicious. Breakfast was not a buffet but of such high quality that it could have been served as dinner. The onsen porridge was also delightful. Dinner was, of course, equally satisfying. The sweetfish sake served in bamboo tubes was exceptionally tasty as well. - Two yukatas were provided per person, so we could change after sweating post-onsen baths. - Deodorizing spray was available in the toilet. - There were many family baths available without needing a reservation. - Massage chairs were free to use. - While it may not be a new building (apologies), the room had a clean and comfortable atmosphere. - I enjoyed looking at many Erté paintings displayed throughout. Everything I’ve ever thought "It would be nice if this existed" at other accommodations had already been prepared here! It was my first time staying here, but I am very satisfied. My wife also said she wants to visit again. Thank you very much!

    For the price,

    It was during a three-day weekend, so it couldn't be helped, but considering the price, the bathroom amenities and coffee were served in paper cups, the food was mediocre, and the room had a slight drain odor, which was disappointing. However, the Onsen and the greetings were good.

    We were able to relax our tired bodies in the Onsen after traveling to Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, and Kumano Sanzan. The meals were delicious, and the staff was very courteous. It coincided with the beautiful cherry blossom season, making it a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!

    Working hard in a hidden paradise.

    The hot spring quality and private baths were good, but it would have been better with a stronger open-air feel. Meals in the large dining hall felt less relaxing, with an overwhelming quantity and variety but no standout dishes. Considering the price, I hoped for slightly better quality, including services like coffee. Overall impression matches the title.

    The staff were all simple and very kind. We received a lot of advice on how to enjoy the surroundings, how to walk the Kumano Kodo, and more. We also had an unforgettable encounter with Kumano River strawberries. Thank you very much.
