  It was a wonderful space.

  Thank you very much for everything. The space was wonderful, and the meals were so delicious that I was truly moved. Since we originally planned to visit Ghibli Park on the second day, we stayed with dinner included and no breakfast. The entire place felt as if it connected to Ghibli Park—the garden, ornaments, furnishings, and even Baron!? in the dining room all resonated deeply with me. I will definitely come again to enjoy breakfast. Thank you very much.

  I was very satisfied.

  We stayed with relatives as a group of four. The Room was compact, but it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The meals were carefully prepared and very delicious. Since it was just us and one other couple staying, we were lucky to enjoy a very relaxed atmosphere. The owners’ hospitality was wonderful. Thank you very much.

  Savor delicious meals surrounded by nature

  The building feels a bit dated, but it is well maintained and very clean. In the evening you can hear the calls of higurashi cicadas, and in the morning the song of Japanese bush warblers, so the natural surroundings are rich. Dinner and breakfast were also delicious. We ordered wine, and it was very good. However, the bath felt dated, and the Room soundproofing was not great.

On the other hand, we sincerely apologize that the bath facilities and soundproofing in your Room did not meet your expectations.   A cozy guesthouse in nature with delicious meals

  It was my first time staying at a pension, and I’m glad my first experience was at Moonlight. The three of us stayed together, and there were three beds, so each of us could sleep comfortably. The bath had a jet tub, and the water temperature was just right—very relaxing. The meals were excellent! The main meat dish in particular was perfectly cooked rare, tender, and delicious. I will definitely stay again.

  A Charming Pension in the Forest

  Stayed for one night with my husband during the peak of autumn foliage. Drawn by the reviews about the delicious food, we decided to visit this charming pension. Although I didn’t have high expectations due to my extensive travel experiences, I was absolutely delighted! The building nestled in the forest had a wonderful atmosphere, with a shiny wooden dining room and a rocking chair by the fireplace. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree added to the charm. We enjoyed dinner in front of a crackling fireplace with soft classical music playing in the background. The food was exceptional—perhaps French cuisine? Starting with appetizers and fish (the sauce was amazing), followed by soup, and then a perfectly cooked steak as the main dish. Although I was full by dessert, it was so delicious that I finished everything. The wine complemented it all perfectly, leaving me feeling truly happy. The living space featured an impressive collection of books on cooking, ingredients, and food culture—clearly reflecting thorough research by someone passionate about gastronomy. The owners were warm and welcoming with their kind smiles. The room was simple yet comfortable enough for complete relaxation. I especially appreciated how fluffy the towels were! I left feeling so satisfied that I want to return again with someone else next time. It’s such a lovely pension!

  It was comfortable.

  We stayed as a family of four this time. True to the concept of "a hidden retreat for adults," the atmosphere was truly wonderful, and the owner couple had a warm and gentle demeanor, creating a very welcoming space. As for dinner, everything was absolutely delicious. The main meat dish was tender and flavorful as expected, but I was most impressed by the fish dish. The cream sauce had a unique taste I had never experienced before, and it paired perfectly with baguette—simply amazing. Since I planned to drive later, I opted for non-alcoholic drinks; however, the grape juice served as an aperitif had such a deep flavor reminiscent of wine that it was incredibly delicious—I ended up ordering an extra bottle separately! Even our children kept saying how tasty it was while drinking it. To think we could enjoy such exquisite cuisine at this accommodation price is truly exceptional service! The bath itself was ordinary but left me feeling mysteriously refreshed afterward. It felt so pleasant that it made me want to take another bath there again someday. We also exchanged brief greetings with other guests staying on the same day—they were all lovely people too. Overall, we were extremely satisfied!

  Highly Satisfied

  The reviews praised the food highly, so I had high expectations, but it exceeded them. Every dish and drink was truly delicious. The service was excellent, leaving both my heart and stomach full. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

  We had a wonderful time.

  This is my second stay. I was able to relax and unwind comfortably within the cozy premises. The subtle and meticulous touches throughout the facility are soothing to the heart. The meals are one of the pleasures. This time, I enjoyed them as well. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese and Western styles. Last time, I chose Japanese, so this time I opted for Western. The menu is fulfilling, with carefully sautéed vegetables and more. Next time, I might be torn between the two options. Breakfast in the dining room, where sunlight filters through the trees, is exceptional. Before breakfast, I took a walk in Oishi Park. (Moon Light is just a short drive to Oishi Park) I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt. Fuji and the kochia plants that have started to change color. I am very satisfied. I am delighted to have found such a wonderful pension.
