    The hot bath was wonderful!!

It was a well-balanced Accommodation—compact in a good way, making it easy to enjoy the Onsen casually. The private bath Reservation was great, but 30 minutes felt a bit rushed for someone who loves baths. I’d be happy if it were 45 minutes for at least one session. Or I found myself wishing I could have gone in one more time. The water was milky white, and at first it tingled slightly on my skin—very much like a true Onsen.

    Dinner was delicious...

Dinner was delicious, with a varied menu in both seasoning and cooking methods, and we were able to enjoy plenty. We were very satisfied with the Onsen in the indoor bath. It might have been even more relaxing if there had been samue loungewear... However, the amenities in both the guest room and bathroom were more than sufficient, so we had a comfortable stay without any inconvenience. Thank you very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the Onsen and savoring delicious cuisine as a couple!

We stayed here as a couple.\n\nWe had been interested in this Accommodation for some time, and after actually staying, it exceeded our expectations. Above all, the milky-white free-flowing Onsen from the source was outstanding, and soaking at a leisurely pace felt truly luxurious. We also enjoyed the private open-air bath together without any worries, which became a wonderful memory.\n\nBoth dinner and breakfast featured carefully prepared dishes that made the most of local ingredients, and we were completely satisfied with both the taste and portion sizes. Everything at both meals was delicious, and we were impressed to enjoy freshly made dishes served piping hot.\n\nThe staff’s hospitality was warm, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout our stay, making it very comfortable. The Room was clean and had a calm atmosphere, allowing us to slowly unwind from everyday fatigue.\n\nThe Onsen, cuisine, and hospitality were all excellent—we were satisfied in every way. This is an Accommodation we would highly recommend to couples looking to enjoy a relaxing Onsen trip.\n\nThank you very much for everything. We would love to visit again as a couple in another season.

Premium beef, sulfur hot springs, and warm hospitality

To the President and all staff, thank you for taking such good care of us. We enjoyed a relaxing two-night summer getaway in the Japanese-style Room “Fuji no Hana.” This is a small Accommodation in the cool mountains, with a refreshing Onsen atmosphere and a faint hydrogen sulfide scent. 1/ The meals exceeded expectations. The beef—your signature offering—was excellent both as sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. We usually eat decent beef from Asakusa Imahan, but even so, we were impressed by the premium quality here. The salt-grilled ayu and yamame trout were also superb. 2/ For our Multiple Night Stay, the meals were not just partially changed—the entire menu was completely different on both days. Outstanding. 3/ The service was exemplary. Everyone greeted us whenever we passed in the hallway; when we mentioned missing items in the Room during dinner on the first day, staff took notes and responded immediately; when we struggled with making coffee, someone stepped in to help from behind; and when we said during our first dinner that dishes were being served too quickly, it was adjusted perfectly the next day. Staff training is thorough and impressive. 4/ The best part: after checkout, the President personally waited for us at the local bus stop to return an item we had forgotten. Thank you very much.

    The hot water was excellent.

The Onsen water was wonderful. It had a silky texture and left my skin feeling smooth. The meals were great too—we had grilled char, and the Tochigi beef sukiyaki was delicious. The portions were so generous we could hardly finish everything. The price was reasonable as well.

    Highly satisfied

This was our first stay, and I brought my elderly mother and aunt. As requested, you prepared a Room near the elevator and the bath for my mother, who has difficulty walking, which was very helpful. Both the bath and the meals were perfect. Just like in the Reviews, every dish was delicious. We will definitely be back.

It was a wonderful accommodation! We’d love to stay again!

Our family of four (a couple, an elementary school child, and a preschooler) stayed here after playing in the snow at Hunter Mountain. It was about a 10-minute drive from Hunter Mountain. The Accommodation was smaller than I had imagined—so much so that I wondered if there were more staff than guests. In any case, every staff member was friendly, polite, and wonderfully attentive. They were also very kind to our children, and we were impressed throughout our stay. The matcha tea and sweets at check-in were soothing after a tiring day, and the Onsen in the large public bath was clean and incredibly relaxing. We ended up bathing three times with the kids during our stay. Because we had a preschooler with us, they served our meals in our Room. The IKYU page didn’t have many photos or details about the food, so to be honest I wasn’t expecting much—but it turned out to be truly delicious kaiseki cuisine. I think you could promote it more! The meat, the fish, and even the finishing ochazuke were all outstanding. The person who came to lay out the futons even showed our children how to do it, which made them very happy. Both the Room and Facility felt new and were very clean. The next day, we went a bit farther from the Accommodation to an Onsen town nearby and enjoyed a lovely footbath Facility as well as some great places to eat before heading home. I’ve already recommended this place to relatives and friends, and we would love to return. Just one thing: there was almost no mobile signal inside the Accommodation. The Room had instructions for Wi‑Fi connection methods, but it barely worked—I'd be very happy if that could be improved.

Enjoy the charm of a Ryokan.

Grateful for a high-quality yet homely stay filled with hospitality. The people, cuisine, and Onsen were all top-notch. I will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful two days!

    Onsen is amazing!

We visited the accommodation for onsen therapy as my spouse had a slight knee pain. The onsen features a sulfur spring with cloudy water, slightly hot and free-flowing. It makes you sweat thoroughly, and the water drains off quickly after bathing, leaving you feeling very warm. In the evening, we enjoyed a private bath in an outdoor facility surrounded by nature—a rustic open-air bath with abundant free-flowing water. Dinner included a wide selection of local sake, which was very satisfying. We also enjoyed a morning bath, making it an onsen-filled trip. By the time we left, my spouse's knee felt completely better. It was an affordable yet very comfortable accommodation.

The food was absolutely delicious. The quality of the Onsen water was excellent. It was enjoyable to experience the different water qualities between the private bath and the indoor bath. While there is a nearby public bath available, it was unfortunate that we couldn't use it during our visit. The indoor bath is not very spacious, so it can get crowded depending on the timing. The service and room were great, and I would love to visit again.

A quiet Onsen accommodation on the mountain, it was amazing!

It was my first stay at this highly-rated Onsen accommodation, and I visited with great expectations. As there was some time before check-in, I waited in the back parking lot where an elderly gentleman kindly guided me with a very polite demeanor. The staff were courteous from reception to guiding me to the room, and I was able to enjoy the first bath. The milky white sulfur bath was incredibly relaxing and provided the ultimate healing experience. Dinner came with detailed explanations of each dish, and I thoroughly enjoyed it along with local Tochigi sake. Additionally, the outdoor open-air bath had a serene atmosphere full of charm that made for an enjoyable experience. It truly lived up to its high ratings as a very comfortable accommodation. I would love to visit again if given the opportunity!

    Stayed for one night...

Stayed for one night starting from the first day of a three-day weekend. Both breakfast and dinner were hearty and delicious, leaving me very satisfied. Additionally, the outdoor air relaxation space in the large public bath was a personal highlight. While overall the experience was very good, there were a few points that caught my attention: First, as the season was getting a bit chilly, it was concerning that no hot water came out of the Room's faucet. Also, the water pressure in the showers of the large public bath was quite weak, which gave the impression of a budget Hotel. Another issue was that a few stink bugs were found inside the window screen, which made it disappointing not to be able to open the window in the morning. I hope measures can be taken to address this. Although I mentioned several points, as it was a stay with three men, these issues didn’t bother us much. However, I would not recommend it for couples.

A tranquil Onsen accommodation nestled in the mountains. Excellent hot springs, delicious cuisine, and great hospitality made for a relaxing stay. The water temperature could be slightly lower for a more leisurely soak, but I enjoyed alternating between soaking and resting on the outdoor chairs. A wonderful accommodation to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

    Extremely satisfied!

This was my first visit, recommended by a friend. The accommodation perfectly matched the prior information: delicious meals (though plentiful), amazing onsen, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere due to its location atop a mountain. All the dishes were delicious, served in beautiful tableware that suited my taste perfectly. I regret having to decline the tea-infused rice at the end of dinner because I was too full. The onsen had a strong sulfur aroma with milky, smooth water that I loved so much I bathed multiple times. Both the room and meals were excellent, but what stood out most was the warm hospitality of the staff, especially the hostess—it made for an incredibly comfortable stay. If I visit Nasu again, I will definitely return!

    Quiet Onsen Accommodation

I stayed unexpectedly, but the service, meals, and onsen facility exceeded my expectations. The onsen was a natural hot spring with milky white water, well-maintained temperature, and absolutely perfect. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Relax and unwind with our milky white sulfur hot springs and warm hospitality.

We visited Nasu-Shiobara for our wedding anniversary trip. We chose this accommodation for its milky white sulfur onsen, but not only was the onsen amazing, the guest rooms were also very clean and relaxing, with a soothing aroma from the tea incense burner. The meals were exceptional, featuring dishes like Tochigi Wagyu shabu-shabu, salt-grilled char fish, freshly fried tempura, and even dessert—a roasted green tea mousse—all of which we enjoyed to the last bite. The highlight was definitely the bath: a cypress tub filled with milky white sulfur water that had a charming atmosphere. Soaking in the onsen surrounded by the scent of sulfur completely relieved our daily fatigue. Additionally, the staff's attentiveness and perfect balance of interaction made our stay incredibly comfortable. This is truly an outstanding accommodation that we would love to visit again!

It was a pleasure to relax in the wonderful natural hot spring water late at night. Being open 24 hours is truly appreciated. During mealtime, I had the chance to interact with two foreign staff members who surprised me with their beautiful and polite Japanese. Their smiles and teamwork left a great impression!

Heartfelt hospitality and the finest hot springs

The serene atmosphere and genuinely pleasant service made us feel the heartfelt hospitality of the staff. The cloudy hot spring bath with its natural source right in front was exceptional. The meals were also incredibly delicious, making it a truly wonderful trip.

    Warm hospitality.

When you park your car next to the entrance, the staff promptly comes to assist and guide you. You are warmly welcomed with delicious sweets and matcha tea. Although it is an old Ryokan, the hospitality is warm, and above all, the hot spring water is exceptional. The meals are not extravagant but are satisfying and well worth the price. This Ryokan offers a charming atmosphere of traditional Japan with its hospitality and details throughout.

    Satisfied.

Overall, it was a very good Ryokan. Upon arrival, we were served matcha and wagashi before heading to our room. The wagashi (monaka with walnuts) was very delicious, and we bought some to take home. The room had a pleasant aroma, perhaps from tea incense, and it was nice that the room and the washroom were separate. As for the meals, I didn't expect such a splendid kaiseki, but the taste was delicious, and I was so full that I left a little. The hojicha mousse mentioned in the review was also delicious. One disappointment with the bath was that the open-air bath was far away. Since it was a winter stay, we decided not to go to the distant location. I think I would have gone if it were summer. However, the indoor bath alone was more than satisfactory. It was a cozy bath, but it was never crowded and was available 24 hours. There was only one disappointment. There was a rubber on the faucet in the room, and it was dirty, but I hope they will improve it. The service was very kind, and I think I will stay again when I go to the nearby ski resort.

    The Onsen was good.

It is a long-established Ryokan. The food and Onsen were very good for the price.

The bath was a bit disappointing.

The meals and the staff's response were very good, but it was disappointing that the bath was small, the open-air bath was inconveniently located outside, and the view was not good. It would be nice to have the open-air bath inside the large bath area. It seemed possible, but... The shower was the type that doesn't run continuously, making it difficult to use. The showerhead is far away, so you have to hold it by hand to shampoo, which is inconvenient. Considering the price, the room felt small. The agility of the slightly stooped elderly male staff member was pleasant. I think the number of usable cards is quite limited these days. If I hadn't paid in advance, I wouldn't have been able to pay.
