    The meals were absolutely delicious!

    We stayed for two nights. The French cuisine and wood-fired dishes, made with plenty of fresh vegetables grown on the property’s own farm, were absolutely delicious. The owner, chef, and staff were all kind and welcoming, and we were happy to spend such an enjoyable time here.

    The best time

    I’ve stayed here several times, and I don’t think there’s any other Accommodation like this. I experienced something similar once in Switzerland, but I’ve never come across anything like it in Japan. It’s the kind of place that might seem almost too ambitious—like a Facility that could easily end up deteriorating over time—but instead it remains an incredible space. Amazing wood-fire cooking, and above all, a truly wonderful setting where you can freely enjoy a campfire. I genuinely respect what you’ve created! And on top of that, Kiyosato is one of Japan’s best resort areas for clean air. This was a new discovery for me: When coming from central Tokyo to Kiyosato, do you usually drive the whole way? This time I took the Azusa to Kofu Station and then rented a car from there, and it was honestly perfect! So I’d love to stay again soon. Thank you for such a wonderful Accommodation! By the way, I especially recommend the villa.

    The Finest Wood-Fired Cuisine

    We stayed during the Obon holiday period. We fully enjoyed the wood-fired cuisine and plenty of delicious wine. We were surprised to be served two fish dishes and two meat dishes, but the vegetables were exceptionally good and felt like the star of the meal. The by-the-glass wines were also selected to match each dish, and we were very satisfied. We could also enjoy Suntory Hakushu, making this an unbeatable place for food and drinks. The Room has cute interior decor, but it has a unit bath and only minimal amenities. Rather than luxury in the Room, you’ll feel fulfilled by relaxing over great meals and enjoying the Facility’s wonderful outdoor living space. Thanks to the local climate it was very cool, making it comfortable even in summer. There is a picture-book museum nearby as well as chocolate shops, and if you go a little farther you can visit a whisky distillery and a sake brewery, so sightseeing is enjoyable too.

    At check-in, I alrea...

    At check-in, I already felt a bit uneasy. Since the previous guest's process was taking time, I was asked to move to the sofa in the back for check-in with my large luggage. However, another staff member then asked me to return to the entrance, making me carry my heavy bags again. It seemed there was a lack of coordination among the staff. The guest room was understandably old, but dust and trash had accumulated on shelves and in corners, fingerprints were visible on mirrors, and there was a ring of residue around the bathtub that made it feel unpleasant. As an auberge, I had high expectations for meals; however, hot dishes were served cold. Breakfast seemed to have been set up early as vegetables were dried out while fruits and yogurt were watery. Butter and jam portions were limited to one shared between two people. It was very disappointing overall.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    We visited as a couple for the first time. They kindly accommodated our food preferences, and the taste was exceptional. The Room was clean, fresh, and very comfortable to stay in. After dinner, we enjoyed fruit wine and marshmallows by the bonfire, creating a wonderful memory of the highland night. We would love to visit again!

    A Place to Relax!

    This was my first stay at the accommodation, and not only was the French dinner in the evening absolutely wonderful, but the peaceful atmosphere allowed me to completely relax. I am already looking forward to my next stay. Regarding the onsen and bath facilities, while it was possible to use an onsen located a bit further away, I did not use it this time and therefore have no particular evaluation for it.

    The bathroom is compact.

    The meals were satisfying. The location was hard to find (even with GPS, I couldn't reach it and had to call. They kindly came to pick me up). As mentioned in previous reviews, the bathroom is extremely small!

    Accommodation on Thursday, March 20.

    It took some time to post as I was busy. I stayed in a new suite room. Since it was during the season when snow still remained, I was concerned about the cold, but the spacious room had both a pellet stove and air conditioning, providing sufficient warmth. The room was much more beautiful than in the photos, and I felt as comfortable as if I were relaxing at home. After a delicious dinner, we enjoyed drinks and marshmallows prepared by the chef at the bonfire space under a sky full of stars—it was truly healing. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Family Trip

    We stayed for one night and two days for a long-awaited family trip. After parking, we were excited by the wonderful atmosphere of the Hotel's exterior and grounds. The guidance from reception to the Room was smooth, and the overall service was courteous and pleasant. The Room had enough beds for everyone, and it was spacious enough to relax comfortably. The homemade pound cake we received upon arrival was extremely delicious. The meals included dinner and breakfast, and both the taste and quantity were impeccable. After dinner, we enjoyed a lovely time by the campfire, savoring liqueur and roasted marshmallows while having a leisurely chat. The starry sky was also amazing. We are thinking of visiting again with our family.

    The meals were satisfying. One disappointment was the bathroom. The unit bath with the sink, toilet, and bath is too small, and there are only two towels: a bath towel and a face towel. Even when traveling, I want to maintain at least the same level of comfort as in my daily life.
