    The room shows some ...

    The room shows some signs of age, such as worn or peeling walls. Most of the food was delicious, but the main dish—simmered golden eye snapper—was a bit too sweet for my taste.

    The meals were excellent, and I was impressed by the skill of the chef. The bath was also pleasant and comfortable. However, the response during the Reservation process beforehand felt somewhat untrustworthy, so that is my overall impression.

    The meals are delicious.

    I stopped by and stayed here on my way back from visiting Ise Grand Shrine. It’s within walking distance from the station, and I was able to check in smoothly with no stress. The building is undeniably old, but the Room was kept clean. The meals were very delicious. The local specialty, Atami-ni, was truly outstanding. It’s also nice that you can choose your dried fish at breakfast. Many of the staff are from overseas, but their hard work comes through, so there’s no stress. The Onsen was at a comfortable temperature and felt great. I’d like to stay here again if I have the chance.

    We stayed here with ...

    We stayed here with three classmates to celebrate a 70th birthday trip. The Accommodation was close to the station, and the Japanese-style room with dinner and breakfast included was within our budget thanks to the time-sale price, so we made an early Reservation. However, two weeks before our stay, one person could no longer make it and we changed the number of guests. The staff handled everything politely over the phone, which reassured us and allowed us to look forward to our stay with peace of mind. The Onsen was wonderful—we went in three times for the first time ever, and everyone slept very well. We were satisfied with our first stay in Atami before heading to Yokohama for our next stop, but there was one thing that concerned us: the face towels provided in the bathroom had a strong detergent smell, as if they hadn’t been rinsed thoroughly. Thank you for taking a commemorative photo at dinner and for giving us three copies at check-out. *Please note that there are many stairs and steps inside the building, so we had to be careful when carrying luggage and moving around. Thank you for your help with our bags.*

    Please make a Reservation for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights).

    This was my first stay, and I made a two-night Reservation, but the Room felt old and there were hairs on the floor both days. The Room was extremely small, which was disappointing. Both large public baths were on the small side. Dinner on the first night included simmered splendid alfonsino (Kinmedai) in Atami-style sauce, which I enjoyed, but on the second day neither dinner nor breakfast felt worth the price; nothing looked appetizing, and it did not match the cost, so I would not stay again. It was conveniently located close to both the station and shops, which was a plus.

    The Facility was qui...

    The Facility was quite old and not well-cleaned, making it dusty, which affected my father and daughter’s noses. I trusted IKYU.com, but I was surprised by the level of the stairs and toilets, which seemed more suited for a casual group trip. The Onsen had a comfortable temperature and felt pleasant. The welcome service, meal serving, and overall hospitality were excellent, which made the shortcomings even more disappointing.

    I stayed here with my elderly mother to celebrate her recovery from an injury. A few years ago, my daughter, who was a university student at the time, used this place for a girls' gathering and told me about its convenient location near the station and how the dining area allowed for comfortable seating without needing to sit on the floor. The staff were all very polite and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the foreign staff members who spoke excellent Japanese—it’s clear they put in a lot of effort. The hot spring water temperature was perfect, with enough depth to soak up to your shoulders. It kept us warm even on that chilly day when it felt freezing outside. The meals were delightful, especially with plenty of fresh fish dishes. We enjoyed our time dining at a relaxed pace. My mother, who had been worried about whether she could manage traveling so soon after her recovery, returned home saying she would love to visit again! It truly lifted her spirits and made us both grateful for this experience. When my daughter visited during her university days for a girls' gathering, she mentioned how kindly and attentively you treated them despite being students. She regretted not being able to thank you properly back then, so I wanted to express our gratitude here. Thank you very much!

    A wonderful Hotel.

    The front desk staff, dining service staff, and all the other staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful. Their heartfelt smiles and courteous service made us very happy. (I would like to thank the staff who kindly stored our luggage after check-out once again.) The meals were delicious, and the golden eye snapper was exquisite. The Onsen allowed us to relax and warm up at our own pace, and the private open-air bath in our room had a stunning view—we couldn't resist using it multiple times. It was a truly satisfying Hotel stay!

    Anniversary Trip

    We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Room was clean and comfortable, but the view was not very impressive. Since we were on the 3rd floor, we couldn't expect too much... The positioning of the entrance door and the wooden slats made it a bit difficult to enter. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were very satisfying, and the staff's service was excellent. Breakfast in particular was delicious! The bath had a retro feel, and despite being fully booked, we had it all to ourselves. The baths alternate locations depending on time and day; while the outdoor bath in the evening had clear water that looked beautiful, the outdoor bath in the morning had cloudy water... When we arrived at check-in, a front desk staff member mentioned they would prepare our bedding after we went for dinner. However, when we returned from taking a bath before dinner time as planned, staff members were already inside setting up our bedding. Since I still had various belongings out in the Room at that time, I felt uneasy about this situation as it occurred earlier than expected before heading for dinner. It would have been better if they waited until confirming guests entered their dining area before entering Rooms. Aside from these two points though—everything else exceeded expectations! Being close to station access is convenient; higher floors seem likely offering great ocean views too—I’d love staying again next visit perhaps booking an upper-floor option instead!     Thank you for the exceptional hospitality!

    In October, my parents stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The accommodation was conveniently located near the station, making it easy to find. Although they arrived early, their luggage was kindly stored until check-in time. The staff at the accommodation were very friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The room offered a great view, and thoughtful touches like the way the futons were arranged added to their comfort. During meals, the staff explained each dish clearly and thoroughly. The additional orders of grilled abalone and Ise lobster sashimi were exceptionally delicious. Having visited many accommodations before, they said this one had the best hospitality they've ever experienced. I hope to visit together next time! Thank you for your wonderful service!

    Had a relaxing time!

    I stayed with my friend. The meals were truly delicious. The lady who attended to us was pleasant and attentive. All the staff were professional and had a calm demeanor, making me feel warmly welcomed after a long time. The location is great, and the Room was clean and well-maintained, though there were some creaky spots on the floor that caught my attention a little—haha! I hope to visit again during the fireworks season.

    Delicious meals

    We traveled as a group of four to celebrate my husband's birthday with our daughter and her child. However, due to illness, they had to cancel on the day, so it turned into a delightful trip for just the two of us after a long time. Dinner was served in a private room. We shared photos of the meal with our daughter and her child and enjoyed plenty of delicious dishes. The simmered golden eye snapper was especially exquisite. The staff member attending us had such a warm smile that we felt very at ease during our time there. When we returned to our Room, there was the birthday cake we had requested waiting for us! We sang the birthday song and celebrated together as just the two of us. At checkout, we were given a framed commemorative photo from his birthday celebration as a gift. We are truly grateful for such thoughtful hospitality—thank you so much! The Room offered views of both the sea and part of downtown; however, it was unfortunate that we couldn't see the sunrise from there.

    Stayed in a room with an open-air bath.

    Meals can be enjoyed in a private setting without worrying about others, giving a feeling similar to in-room dining, which is excellent. The large public bath is also open to general guests, which was surprising as I didn't know beforehand, but it wasn't crowded. However, getting a beer after bathing can be a bit of an effort since the vending machine is only on the first floor of the main building. There is also a smoking area, making this Ryokan perfect for smokers like me.

    Unfortunately.

    We regret to hear about your experience. The service did not seem to match the price, possibly due to the Obon holiday rates. The dinner felt underwhelming, with overly processed dishes that lacked natural flavors. Even though explanations were provided during meal service, they were difficult to understand. As for breakfast, the grilled fish was dry and lacked flavor. Regarding cleanliness, there was noticeable dust which caused discomfort during your stay.

    It feels like a trad...

    It feels like a traditional Japanese Onsen. I had a relaxing time. It would be more convenient if there were keys for the Room for each person. The abalone, which I was most looking forward to, was small and a bit disappointing. Since it's close to the station, I would like to visit again.

    60th Birthday Celebration

    We visited to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We were very satisfied as we could relax and unwind at the Onsen after a long time! The kinmedai (golden eye snapper) we had been looking forward to was absolutely delicious. The surprise cake prepared for my husband's birthday celebration made him very happy. The staff were incredibly kind, making our stay comfortable. During meals, they thoughtfully guided me through paths with fewer steps as I was walking slowly due to back pain—thank you so much for your consideration despite being busy. It truly meant a lot to me. The retro atmosphere throughout the facility was charming and adorable. We would love to visit again!

    Daughter's Birthday

    We visited Atami for the first time to celebrate our daughter's 2nd birthday and stayed at this accommodation. The room was a spacious Japanese-Western style, equipped with amenities for children and a diaper box, which was very convenient. The meals were all delicious, and the birthday cake we requested for our daughter was adorable. At checkout, the staff gave us a framed photo they had taken as a gift, creating a wonderful memory for us. The location near the station was excellent, making it an overall fantastic trip.

    Plan with Private Bath

    We visited Gotemba in Shizuoka to enjoy the Onsen after my mother's burial. Since it was a private bath with my husband’s brother, who has been unwell, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen without worrying about others. The staff were all kind and provided excellent service. Thank you very much!

    Family Trip with Elderly Mother

    For my first trip with my mother, who has difficulty walking, we chose Atami and this accommodation close to the station. It is very convenient as it is located very near the station. Although there is a short but steep slope in front of the accommodation, my mother managed it this time, but I feel it might be difficult for her next time. From our room, she happily sat on a chair and admired the view of Atami. I imagine it would be especially beautiful during the fireworks festival. There are just a few steps to reach the dining area. The meals were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the tofu at breakfast. We also had fun taking commemorative photos before leaving, making wonderful memories that exceeded our expectations for the price. Thank you very much!

    Everything was absolutely satisfying!

    This is a one-night stay with breakfast and dinner included. The room, onsen, meals, and the staff's hospitality were all excellent. Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. The golden eye snapper served at dinner was truly delicious. With convenient access from the station, I would love to stay here again next time!

    No future use!

    We were guided to a room on the second floor, but there were large traces of vomit left in the hallway and in front of the room with no explanation. When we pointed it out and requested a room change, our request was denied, making the trip very unpleasant and unsettling. The sliding doors in the room were taped together, which was shocking. Being assigned to this room was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We will never stay at this accommodation again.

    The staff provided a pleasant and friendly service. All the meals were delicious! We wanted to spend our precious holiday relaxing as a couple, but the noise from other Rooms, possibly children, kept us awake until late at night. Even though we chose the top floor... Being close to the station might be good for those who are not bothered by noise.

    On his birthday

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate his birthday! I called in advance to deliver the gift early, and they beautifully decorated it along with additional champagne! He was surprised, and I was so happy that the surprise was a success. The photo taken as a service during our meal was framed beautifully, and we are treasuring it. The onsen and meals were absolutely wonderful, allowing us to relax and rejuvenate. Above all, the view from the room was stunning; we fully enjoyed both the night and morning scenery. Being close to the station and having our luggage stored after checkout was incredibly helpful! It made sightseeing convenient, and the location is perfect. Since it was a birthday celebration, there were several occasions where we needed assistance from staff members here, but everyone responded kindly, making this trip truly memorable! We would love to visit again—thank you so much!

    Second visit!

    I came back because I wanted to eat kinmedai and chawanmushi again! The meals are absolutely amazing. Everything is delicious and the portions are generous... but I couldn't finish it all, so next time I'll skip lunch before coming. I tried all the baths, but the private open-air bath is my favorite. The ladies' plan offers incredible value for money, so I'll definitely come back again! The room could use some updates, so I'm deducting one star for that. But other than that, I truly love this accommodation. Keep up the great work!

    Onsen Accommodation Near the Station with Fireworks View

    I made a reservation for the day of the fireworks festival. This time, I chose to stay in a premium suite for a more luxurious experience. The room offers a spacious layout with separate bedroom and living areas, both overlooking the courtyard. The greenery in the garden was beautiful. Additionally, there is an open-air bath where you can relax, and it’s conveniently located near the dining area, making it very user-friendly. For this visit, they kindly adjusted my meal time to match the fireworks schedule and even stored my luggage before check-in—such thoughtful service! From the main building, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the seaside fireworks display from higher floors. Since this is an all-weather event, being able to watch from indoors is definitely a great point! I’ll definitely visit again. Its proximity to both the station and shopping street makes it highly recommended for sightseeing as well. Thank you very much!

    We stayed in a Japan...

    We stayed in a Japanese-style Room with five women, and it was relaxing with a Yogibo. The shower attached to the Room was also renovated and clean. The large public bath gets crowded because there are few washing areas and sinks. The meals were excellent, and the lava-grilled wagyu beef was the most delicious. The simmered kinmedai, typical of the Izu area, was too much in quantity, so it was a waste to leave it. The breakfast, including dried ebo-dai and miso soup, was hot and delicious. Being close to the station was convenient and satisfying.

    A trip to Atami for couples

    I stayed for one night. Even though I had informed them of the ingredients I dislike in advance, and they confirmed it during the meal, it was disappointing that the disliked ingredients were still included. However, the simmered golden eye snapper was exquisite. Many of the staff were foreigners, but their service was polite and earnest, which was very good. It would have been nice if the amenities were a bit more comprehensive. It was also disappointing that the curtains in the Room were stained. It was great that it was very close to Atami Station.
