  Stays of Food

  I have stayed at various Onsen Ryokan, and I am grateful that this was the pinnacle in terms of food and sake. As others have pointed out, the high quality and cost performance of the food and sake are noteworthy. The atmosphere inside the facility is as described on IKYU, casual but with warm hospitality and a spacious private open-air bath, making it a very satisfying stay.

  A place to relax

  We stayed as a couple on a weekday at the end of September. The information about the excellent food and service was true. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were very delicious and plentiful. Dinner included appetizers, hot pot broth, and freshly fried tempura, all of which were eye-opening in taste. The owner advised us on recommended sake, and we tried four types of sake. We were particularly impressed by the Juyondai Extra, a sake we had never tried before. Since the sake offered here is hard to come by, I think this inn is a must-visit for sake lovers. The breakfast featured freshly cooked rice with perfectly grilled mackerel and horse mackerel, which were very tasty. We were soothed by the kind service of the couple. The open-air bath was also available for private use at no extra charge, allowing us to relax. We were very grateful for the wife's thoughtfulness. We truly empathized with the repeat guests who said they wanted to visit again with each change of season. We definitely want to visit again. The location is deep in a villa area with steep slopes, so we strongly recommend coming by taxi rather than on foot.

  Dear Chanman-chan, Thank you very much for staying at Mori no Shizuku. We are delighted to hear that you were very satisfied with your first stay at our facility. The Juyondai Extra is a rare sake that we only receive once every few years, unlike the regular items from Juyondai, so we are glad you were able to enjoy it. As for the rice served in the morning, until last year, it was directly shipped from a farm in Toyama run by my junior colleague, but due to certain circumstances, they had to close down. After much trial and error, we finally found a rice supplier that we are pleased with, so we are very happy that you enjoyed it. From December, we will be serving duck meatball hot pot. My wife and I are looking forward to welcoming you again, Chanman-chan. Thank you very much.
