The in-room semi-open-air bath is outstanding.
We stayed in the Yuri Room, which comes with a semi-open-air bath. It features free-flowing Jizo hot spring water, one of our favorite sources in Kusatsu Onsen. The private Onsen was too hot to relax for long, but the in-room Onsen was at just the right temperature and very comfortable. We could enjoy both dinner and breakfast in the in-room dining area; it was a bit pricey, but choosing this room was absolutely worth it. The meals were not extravagant, but the portions were just right and the seasoning suited our taste.

My husband worked part-time in Kusatsu Onsen during his student years.
The Accommodation was a small, old Ryokan located very close to Jizo-no-Yu. The men’s bath was extremely hot—so hot that even my husband, who is used to Kusatsu’s hot springs, could only soak up to his waist and had to get out right away. He said it was too hot to lower the temperature even with a yumomi board. The private bath had a ceramic tub, but he said it was too lukewarm. Dinner started at 6:15 p.m., which felt early, but we were told that was the only available time. The meal was simply set up in the next Room and was essentially self-service. It gave me the impression that staffing costs were cut as much as possible. It is rated as a three-star Hotel level, but my husband commented, “This is three-star?” We were told we could borrow colorful yukata, but there was no guidance, so unfortunately we couldn’t. Later we found out there was a chest of drawers at the entrance to the bath area with instructions on top—but by then it was too late. It was my birthday, and I mentioned it in the comment section when making the Reservation, but there was no acknowledgment at all. I shouldn’t have expected anything. Thank you.

I've visited various Onsen in Kusatsu, and the water quality is excellent.
The Room (Himawari) was spacious, and the private bath was excellent. During the cold winter season, it is recommended to stir the water and replace a portion with fresh hot water before bathing, as the bottom may feel cold initially. Unlike the nearby Otaki-no-Yu, the water here feels smoother. Although the composition chart appears similar, the water seems to have a different density based on how it supports your body in the bath.

Too terrible.
Despite paying the fee, we were charged again. The wrong meal course was served without any apology. This is unacceptable. Our time and memories were ruined. It's extremely disappointing because the Room and Onsen were excellent. Please make improvements immediately.

This is an accommodation I would love to stay at again.
It was my first time visiting Kusatsu Onsen. The accommodation offered two free private Onsen baths, and I was able to use both smoothly without waiting. I didn’t have high expectations for the meals, but considering the price, they were very delicious and satisfying. There was a wide variety of women's yukata and hair accessories to choose from, which made it fun but hard to decide. Personally, I enjoyed this experience. However, since you need to tie the obi yourself, it might be challenging for those who are not familiar with it. Providing pre-tied obi or a simple instruction sheet on how to tie an obi could make wearing yukata easier and more accessible. (I looked up how to tie an obi online.) Additionally, having a deodorizing spray in the toilet of the room would be appreciated. I may have missed it, but I don’t recall seeing any information about parking on IKYU.com’s site; including such details would be helpful. The price was reasonable, and I could feel attention to detail in both the meals and every corner of the accommodation. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kusatsu. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Room with Onsen and Private Bath
We enjoyed the Renovation Commemoration Plan for the Special Room "Yuri no Ma." The tatami room featured a sofa, the bedroom had spacious twin beds, the dining area included a large table, and there was an indoor bath sourced from Jizo no Yu that could fit two people—a truly luxurious space. The early check-in time from 2:00 PM was also appreciated. Right in front of the accommodation is a footbath from Jizo no Yu, and Yubatake can be reached within 3 to 5 minutes—though it involves climbing a steep hill. For dinner, we opted for pork instead of beef as we are not fond of beef; however, the pork was slightly fatty for elderly guests. The portion size was sufficient. It’s a cozy accommodation where we were able to relax and unwind.

A tranquil onsen Stays near Jizo no Yu
It is conveniently located near Yubatake, making it easy to take a walk anywhere. The meals are of moderate portions and have an elegant taste. It was a bit disappointing that there were no hand towels in the washroom, but the private baths are well-equipped, making it a Stays where you can relax leisurely.

The quality of the hot spring was excellent.
I stayed in a room called "Yuri," which was just renovated for the New Year. The room was well-cleaned and tidy. The bath had excellent water quality, and I bathed three times during my stay. The disappointing aspects were the meals and amenities like towels. The course used the same ingredients multiple times, there was no explanation of the dishes, and there were no dishes that made me say "delicious." Additionally, the provided towels were thin, and the scent of fabric softener was strong. Usually, at onsen Stays of the same price, two bath towels per person are often provided, but here, there were only two thin bath towels, and no towels were provided for children. There were also no hand towels or similar items prepared at the washbasin. Considering the cost performance, the meals and amenities are questionable, but the room and bath were comfortable.

The greenhouse was nice, and my skin became smooth. The Room was also clean, and I was able to relax. Thank you.

It is located relatively close to Yubatake.
We chose this property because it is relatively close to Yubatake and has a limited number of rooms with a private bath. It was close to Yubatake, but there were some steep slopes along the way. There is Jizo no Yu right in front of the Stays, and the footbath was popular. Regarding the meals, the same ingredients were used here and there, and one dish was not served for me. When I informed the staff, they said that when there are two guests, some prefer different dishes... After that, they asked if I wanted a replacement, but honestly, the overall cooking and taste were disappointing, so I declined. This time, the private bath was available, so I was able to enjoy the bath. As expected, the hot water in Kusatsu is the best. Although the Ryokan is old, there were decorations here and there, which were soothing to the eyes.
