A Satisfying Retreat Stay

I discovered Mikawaya Ryokan while searching for a quiet accommodation to fully enjoy the onsen. With only 10 rooms, it has an intimate atmosphere, and four of the rooms come with private open-air baths. Additionally, there are five private onsens available, ensuring that one is always free to use and allowing for a relaxing experience. The facility's usage instructions were thorough, and the hospitality starting with a welcome drink was subtle yet professional. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with amenities like lotion and moisturizer—everything you could need was provided. In the room featuring manga and DVDs, there was also a coffee machine offering complimentary drinks, which I enjoyed very much. Both dinner and breakfast featured deliciously prepared mountain ingredients in satisfying portions. Thank you as well for the commemorative photo service! In the morning, each room received a serving of drinkable yogurt—a delightful touch (and it tasted great!). I stayed in the "Suicho" room; its attached open-air bath offered a serene space to relax at ease. While this particular room does not have scenic views, it is perfect for those who want to retreat quietly indoors. The massage chair included in the room helped relieve my daily fatigue as well. Although staying here comes at a higher price point, this level of hospitality makes it worth every penny—I would love to return again! Thank you very much!
