    The rice was delicious as expected, and the bath was excellent too.

    As expected from a renowned rice region, the rice cooked individually in small pots for each guest at dinner on the first night of our two-night stay was simply outstanding. We were already more than full from the delicious meal and kept saying we couldn’t possibly eat any more rice—yet we still found ourselves reaching for it. We even wondered if the water made the difference. For breakfast and dinner on the second night, we had rice served in an ohitsu (wooden tub). It was of course delicious as well, but the first night’s pot-cooked rice was truly unforgettable. The Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and we had an extremely comfortable stay overall. We also really appreciated the Shuttle Service to Yuzawa Station—thank you so much.

    Open-Air Bath with Spectacular Views

    The breathtaking views from the open-air bath are truly soothing, and the hot spring water quality is exceptional. The meals are also delicious. Since we chose the stay-in Room Plan, we were able to enjoy our meals at a relaxed pace in our Room. The Shuttle Service is also a welcome amenity.

    Perfect for a ski trip! Relaxed with two elementary school kids! The Onsen is excellent!

    The onsen in the room and the large public bath were excellent! Although there were no child-friendly entertainment facilities (like a table tennis area) and it was far from the station, we didn’t mind as we arrived at the accommodation before 5 PM after skiing. We changed clothes, left our wet items in the ski room, enjoyed a relaxing bath in our room before dinner, and had an abundant in-room meal that left us very full. After having our futon laid out, we went to the onsen again and then slept soundly—overall a very enjoyable stay. Our room had a view of trains from the bath, which made our child very happy! Since it’s located a bit far from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, shuttle service is necessary. They do provide it if you call them! However, when I called around 4 PM, it was hard to get through as they seemed busy at reception. After several attempts, I finally got connected and waited at the station. The shuttle vehicle has "Nakaya" written clearly on it; however, my husband waiting outside didn’t notice it right away. When reception called back to inform us that they had already arrived but couldn’t wait long at the station due to parking restrictions—it felt slightly rushed since we’d been trying so hard to connect earlier. Perhaps this was just due to language nuances with their international staff members—it wasn’t too much of an issue overall though! Everything else about our stay was wonderful—the driver and futon staff were efficient; plus everything including baths was clean and comfortable. We requested breakfast for 7:30 AM; someone came by shortly after 7 AM to tidy up our futons beforehand. The breakfast left us feeling full again! For those eager to head out early for skiing—getting fully ready before breakfast might be ideal. For us though—we loved taking another relaxing soak in our private bath even in the morning! If you prefer unwinding with an in-room meal rather than rushing around buffet-style accommodations after tiring ski days—this place is highly recommended!

    Exclusive Natural Hot Spring Flow

    After work in Niigata City, I chose this accommodation as a reward for myself, drawn to the onsen with free-flowing hot spring water and a room with a private bath. I selected the "Retreat Plan." You can experience tasks like setting up your own meal at the table or laying out your futon, which means no staff enters your room during your stay, offering a comfortable balance between hotel and ryokan experiences without any pressure. The meals were all delicious, though I wish I could have tried noppe. The highlight is definitely the onsen. The water in the guestroom is different from that of the public bath—pure free-flowing hot spring water. The public bath was lukewarm yet felt hot; opening the windows to cool it down before entering is recommended. The abundant flow of water, its sound pouring into the tub, and lantern lighting melted away my fatigue and provided deep relaxation. My skin became soft and smooth while my whole body stayed warm. I enjoyed soaking while admiring snowy landscapes. In the morning, breathtaking views of nearby mountain ranges, sunrise scenes, and even Shinkansen trains were visible—a luxurious sight indeed. Accommodations offering free-flowing hot springs at such reasonable prices are now rare treasures. This place has been added to my list of accommodations I'd love to visit again!

    This time, we travel...

    This time, we traveled with our friends as a couple. The meals were served in the room and were very delicious. The freshly cooked rice was so tasty that we ate until we were full. The onsen was also fantastic. Choosing Nakaya was the right decision. It’s an accommodation that makes you want to visit again.

    Both dinner and brea...

    Both dinner and breakfast were served in the Room. It was our first time experiencing a Plan where meals were brought to the front of the Room, but there were plenty of dishes, arranging them on the table was enjoyable, and they were delicious. Since we handled setting up and putting away the futon ourselves, perhaps it was reasonably priced for a Saturday? The view from the open-air bath was excellent.

    A one-night trip to express gratitude to my companion. We had a very meaningful and enjoyable stay. The Plan required us to serve our own meals and lay out the futon, but it was so much fun arranging and eating the food while chatting about this and that. The bath offered a great view, came with a sauna, and allowed us to fully relax. The Shuttle Service was available at any time for just one group, which made the experience even more special. My companion was delighted as well, and the cost-performance was excellent. I would love to visit again!

    Accommodation with a Great View

    The view from the Room was amazing. I arrived at the station in the morning, and they kindly came to pick up my luggage and kept it for me. They also provided a thorough explanation of the Room, showcasing excellent hospitality. The meals were served in the Room, allowing me to relax and enjoy my time leisurely.

    The bath is exceptionally relaxing.

    Attracted by the rare "natural hot spring flow," I decided to visit and had a very pleasant experience. The baths, including the indoor bath, open-air bath, washing area, and changing room, were all very clean and well-maintained. The room was spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. The bedding was also very comfortable. Both amenities and facilities were well-equipped with everything necessary. The views from both the bath and the room were excellent, providing a sense of openness that was truly satisfying. I also appreciated the prompt Shuttle Service provided. I would love to visit again!

    The fresh greenery in May, Japanese sake enjoyed in the room, and the natural flowing Onsen were exceptional.

    I visited for a solo trip as I had some time off. The cute Onsen bag, lighting, and indoor slippers were all so stylish and impressive. The futon was fluffy, the tatami mats and sink were spotless, and even the placement of trash bins and amenities showed thoughtful consideration. There was also a wide variety of sake available to order from the room (even with No Meals Included), which I enjoyed in a greenery-filled room while relaxing comfortably. Although it was off-season, I only encountered other women during my stay—I'm sure they thoughtfully arranged the rooms! Most importantly, the natural flowing Onsen on the 4th floor felt like a mist sauna from the moment you arrived, offering breathtaking views. It was such an amazing hot spring that I wish I could soak in it again right now! Next time, I'd love to visit with friends!

    Regarding your trip to Niigata

    I stayed here with my friends during our trip to Niigata. Upon arrival, we handed over the car keys and entered the Hotel. The staff's thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. From then on, their smiles and service were exceptional. The famous baths, both the large public bath and the open-air bath, were clean and absolutely amazing. Meals for both breakfast and dinner were served in the Room, ensuring privacy and complete satisfaction. The food itself was incredibly delicious with generous portions. Price-wise, it’s more reasonable than nearby Ryokans—unbelievable value! This is a Hotel I’d love to visit repeatedly and highly recommend to everyone!

    Perhaps due to the off-season,

    The man who guided us through the accommodation was great. However, during meals, drinks were not served unless specifically requested. When checking where the car was parked upon departure, the receptionist simply pointed with her hand while looking down, possibly busy with paperwork. This is not exactly a budget accommodation, but perhaps it’s due to the off-season. It was a bit disappointing. I will not be using this place again.

    The accommodation was quiet and peaceful, perhaps because it is slightly away from the center of Yuzawa. This time, I stayed for skiing, but staying without a specific purpose might allow for a more relaxing experience.

    I have been a repeat guest since my first stay when I brought my father undergoing chemotherapy and received exceptional care. This time, we stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights as a family for spring skiing. Upon arrival, the Room was already warm and cozy. We enjoyed tea and sweets while taking a short break. The view from the window was stunning, offering a breathtaking panorama of snow-covered Yuzawa town. At 6:30 PM, dinner was served in our Room—a luxurious meal that allowed us to enjoy quality family time together. The dishes were served warm, with generous portions that were absolutely delicious. After dinner, the staff prepared our futons for sleeping. Following a relaxing soak in the Onsen, we went to bed comfortably with bedside lamps and warm feather duvets provided. A pot of cold water for nighttime use was also thoughtfully prepared—everything was perfect! While our stay in the "Fukayuki" Room was excellent overall, it would be even more convenient if there were towel racks installed in the toilet area. The next morning at 8 AM, breakfast was served in our Room again—making us feel like royalty before heading out to ski. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this two-night stay. Additionally, staff members—including trainees from countries like Vietnam—were incredibly kind and provided heartfelt hospitality that left us deeply impressed. From the comfort of the Room to its scenic views; from delicious meals to snowy landscapes visible from outdoor baths; and above all else—the outstanding service by your team—it truly exceeded expectations! We look forward to returning next year for another wonderful experience. Thank you so much for an unforgettable trip!

    It was great.

    I stayed here for a solo trip. I was very satisfied as I could enjoy two types of Onsen: the large public bath and the private open-air bath in the room, both with natural hot spring water. Since it was a retreat Plan, I appreciated being able to enjoy meals in my Room at my own pace comfortably. Thank you to the staff for their kind and attentive service.

    A comfortable onsen Stays close to Tokyo

    I think it's a very nice onsen Stays. I chose a plan with only breakfast, so I rated it 4, but I was happy with the in-room dining. The shuttle service to and from Echigo-Yuzawa Station was without waiting time, and the view from the ryokan on the hill was excellent. Staying in a room with an onsen was the right choice. You can enjoy the stars in the night sky while comfortably soaking in the flowing onsen with the window open. The calm atmosphere and the lack of noise are also high points.

    Very satisfied! It's a property I would definitely like to stay at again.

    We stayed for one night as a couple. My husband, who loves rice, was extremely satisfied with the pot-cooked rice, and I, who love onsen, was delighted with the spacious and pleasant indoor bath and the outdoor bath with a wonderful view, far exceeding our expectations. The room wear was comfortable to the touch, designed in a Japanese-style pajama (separate top and bottom), making it very easy to relax during bath changes, meals in the room, and sleeping. I was worried because another review mentioned "thin futons," but when I stayed, the futon was thick and well-supported, distributing body pressure evenly. It was very comfortable to sleep on. The shuttle service from Echigo-Yuzawa Station was promptly arranged upon request, which was very helpful. Thanks to this, it became a wonderful trip that relieved the fatigue of the year. I would like to stay again and recommend it to those who love rice, onsen, and the Shinkansen.

    I was always being scolded.

    The pricing was reasonable, so I understand, but I was scolded to finish dinner quickly because they were going to clear it in five minutes (since everything, including serving, was self-service, it would have been better if they had informed us in advance if there was a time limit). I also felt a bit uncomfortable as the staff spoke harshly. I felt the same way during my previous stay, but I found the bath in the large public bath dirty this time as well. It would be better to thoroughly clean it as it feels unpleasant.
