    We had an experience that exceeded the price.

    I believe the essence of hospitality lies in the beginning and the end—being warmly welcomed on arrival and thoughtfully seen off at departure. When those are done well, overall hospitality is usually truly satisfying. I have stayed at places that were expensive yet neglected these basics, but this time everything was perfect. It met my expectations—and even exceeded them—with outstanding hospitality throughout. As for the cuisine, it was exceptionally creative and wonderful—something you rarely encounter even in Tokyo—and it moved me both physically and emotionally. It truly felt like “more than worth the price.” This is a place well worth returning to, and I hope to come back soon to relax again.

    This was the best experience I’ve ever had!

    Every aspect of the service—Room, course meals, and hospitality—was truly top-notch! The Room offers sweeping views of both the sea and mountains from the window. You can enjoy the sunset and sunrise all to yourself, take a nap to birdsong, and fully immerse yourself in nature. There are few places where you can feel this connected to nature, making it perfect for anyone looking to escape the noise of the city (also ideal for a workcation!). The course meals were another highlight: a chef’s carefully crafted creations featuring plenty of seasonal ingredients. The menu included hand-drawn illustrations by the chef along with notes about the inspiration behind each dish—it felt like eating art in a wonderfully unique way. As for hospitality, we were invited to a strawberry farm and even received bread as a gift, along with many thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Overall, it was an exceptional experience!

    One group per day only! Enjoy a luxurious stay surrounded by abundant nature.

    WEAZER Nishi-Izu has been a favorite of mine ever since I stayed a few years ago. Hearing that the new Facility “Kai” had opened, I visited right away—and it was an incredibly satisfying stay in an even more evolved luxury space. What impresses you first is, of course, the view. In addition to the breathtaking ocean panorama, the bedroom looks out onto the forest, creating a truly luxurious space that feels wrapped in nature. Step into the garden and you’ll find a small stream; the sound of birds blends beautifully with the waves. The warmth and design of the wooden architecture are also outstanding—simply being there is soothing. The dining exceeded expectations once again, as you’d expect from a Michelin-awarded restaurant team. Each dish showcasing local Izu ingredients was a delight, and the meat dishes were absolutely exceptional! My personal highlight was the sauna. Relaxing outdoors while surrounded by nature and ocean sounds was extraordinary—an experience of total reset you can only have here. It’s a place I know I’ll definitely want to return to again!

    A luxurious moment to become one with the universe atop a “tatami” floating on the sea

    The most unforgettable part of this stay was the quiet time I spent on the “tatami” set over the terrace’s infinity reflecting pool. After sunset, when I lay down on the tatami, nothing blocked my view—only a sky full of stars and the moon stretching endlessly above. Moonlight shimmered on the water, creating a surreal feeling as if the entire Room were floating on a night sea. With the sound of waves as background music, I was able to fully savor the luxury of doing nothing—something you can never experience in the city. The next morning was just as extraordinary. As dawn broke, the sea and sky shifted color moment by moment. Waking up while lying on tatami and letting the light rise from beyond the horizon wash over me brought a deep sense of healing, as if both body and mind were being cleansed. In this place where the reflecting pool seems to merge with the ocean, it truly felt like “the sky, the sea, and me” became one—a one-of-a-kind front-row seat. The Room itself is filled with modern single-story design down to every detail, and the view through its large windows looks like a framed painting. Lighting a fire in the living room wood-burning stove at dusk and watching day fade beyond the reflecting pool with a glass of champagne in hand became another moment I will never forget. The cuisine is also outstanding: local seafood is presented beautifully and artistically, delighting both eyes and palate. The flavor of the rice in particular—and even more so, how everything builds toward finishing with ochazuke—was simply superb. Architecture, breathtaking views, fine dining, and silence—all harmonized at an exceptional level. A true hidden retreat. For anyone who wants to forget daily noise and Clear their mind: I especially recommend experiencing once for yourself that starry sky and sunrise seen from atop tatami over that reflecting pool. I’m already planning to return in another season.

    A luxurious solo getaway in harmony with nature The exclusivity of an off-grid escape

    I stayed at KAI because I was traveling solo and looking for a quiet place where I could feel truly connected to nature, and I was also interested in the off-grid concept. It turned out to be an even more wonderful experience than I expected. My time in the villa felt like a luxurious space entirely my own. Peaceful moments watching the fireplace, and blissful time in the sauna that left both body and mind refreshed. The Room was very spacious—almost more than enough for a solo trip—but it felt like being at home. I never felt lonely; instead, I was able to spend deeply fulfilling time reflecting on myself. For meals, they provided Shuttle Service to the main house, where I enjoyed a carefully prepared course dinner. Every dish made with local ingredients was truly delicious—I honestly felt it would be worth visiting just for the food alone. The staff’s thoughtful attention was also very comforting, and even though I was staying alone, I felt warmly welcomed. Most of all, I was moved by the winter night sky. A sky full of stars you could never see in the city—so beautiful that it took my breath away, as if every winter constellation were visible at once. That view alone made the day feel special. Hearing the sound of the waves as well was incredible. The off-grid system itself was fascinating too. Being able to visualize daily electricity and water usage made me realize how precious these resources are—something we usually take for granted—and gave me a meaningful chance to learn with gratitude for nature’s gifts. Gaining a new perspective on environmental awareness was another major takeaway from this stay. If you’re looking for a solo trip where you can step away from everyday life, spend luxurious time surrounded by nature, truly refresh your mind, and enjoy something out of the ordinary, this is a place I wholeheartedly recommend. I would love to visit again!
