    With your dog

    We stayed with a family of four and one dog. Since our dog is still a puppy, we were worried about leaving him alone in an unfamiliar place for the first time. When we consulted the front desk staff, they kindly split the meal time into two groups, which we truly appreciated. Thanks to that, our dog was able to relax and enjoy his stay. He also seemed to have fun being able to go directly from the Room to the dog run. The meals were delicious and exceeded our expectations. Since it’s on the first floor, it may be unavoidable to some extent, but we were concerned about drain flies around the water areas. We’d recommend cleaning the pipes! lol Even so, this is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

    We stayed here with three generations of our family and our dog.

    My grandchild fell asleep during dinner, and the staff kindly prepared a chair that could also be used as a baby bed, which was very helpful. Thank you very much. The front desk staff were also courteous and made us feel welcome. If I had to mention anything, it might have been even better if there had been a pleasantly scented air freshener in the hallway leading to the pet rooms. Also, since we brought two Yorkshire Terriers, it would have been nice to have a few more pet amenities available.

    It was a simple and convenient accommodation.

    After seeing a TV program called “Adomachi” featuring cool spots in West Tokyo, including Ome, I couldn’t stand the sudden extreme heat and made a spontaneous Reservation. However, the Kamenoi Hotel is not much cooler than central Tokyo. Still, I was able to relax with delicious meals and the Onsen. Here are a few things I noticed: 1) At Ome Station, the Hotel Shuttle Service runs several times after 3:00 PM. I arrived around 2:40 PM and tried walking from the station (about 1 km). After leaving the area in front of the station, it’s mostly narrow roads with no shops. It’s not an enjoyable walk, so using the Shuttle Service is definitely the better choice. 2) I originally planned to visit Sawanoi Keiryuen near Sawai Station the next day, and there was a free direct bus from the Kamenoi Hotel. This was very convenient—departing at 11:00 AM, which worked perfectly. 3) The food is carefully prepared and delicious. If you get hungry later, there is a free tantanmen service starting at 9:00 PM. I was too full to try it, which I regret.

    An incredible bargain for central Tokyo.

    The check-in service easily passes with room to spare. It’s rare these days to receive such a detailed explanation delivered with a smile. The Room is spacious and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately, the view is just an ordinary townscape—but since it isn’t a river-view Room, that’s understandable. The bath is large with an excellent view, and the washing area is more than sufficient, but it was a bit disappointing that the water is circulated and chlorinated. Meals—both breakfast and dinner—were flawless! Akigawa beef was great, but above all, the local vegetables were outstanding. They also offer a well-curated selection of regional sake unique to this Accommodation. Overall, considering this quality in Tokyo, the price can only be described as an incredible bargain.

    The fresh greenery was truly beautiful.

    I was very disappointed after a difficult experience upon arriving at the station due to a mistake by the Hotel staff, but the way they recovered from it was outstanding. Everyone makes mistakes, and I really appreciated that they focused on helping us spend the rest of our stay comfortably. Thanks to that, our whole family was able to finish the trip happily, saying, “Let’s definitely come again!” Even though it was a weekday, it was crowded and there were many people in the bath, but since it is spacious we could still relax. That said, there were quite a few groups talking loudly, which I suppose can’t be helped. The meals were also delicious and made with local ingredients. The Room had been renovated as well, so it was clean and comfortable. My family said it felt like a Business Hotel, but for me—since I often stay at Business Hotels—it felt like a very luxurious Room. There is an uphill slope, but taking a walk in the park next door is very pleasant. On our way back, they even drove us by bus to Sawanoi so we could enjoy the fresh greenery. After returning home I realized I had left something behind; they kindly agreed to send it cash on delivery and shipped it right away. Sorry for the trouble—thank you very much. I would love to visit again when the meal menu changes.

    Girls’ Trip

    We really enjoyed the free drink service and the late-night ramen, and although it was an extra charge, we were also able to have wine—overall it was perfect for a girls’ trip for older guests. The portion sizes were just right as well. The salted grilled monkfish liver was a bit undercooked; I think it would be easier to enjoy if it were grilled more crisp. Also, some guests helped themselves to the wine glasses from the free-drink area, so when we wanted wine there were no glasses left and we had to ask staff to wash some, which caused extra trouble. Since everything tasted wonderful, I hope this point can be improved—there may be other guests who would like to relax and enjoy their wine at a slower pace. We would love to visit again. The Room was very clean; the pillow was a little high for me personally, but my friend liked it. We’ve already been saying we want to come back. The Shuttle Service driver, the person who assisted us with the wine, and all staff members were extremely polite and kind—we were truly impressed. Thank you very much. As for in-room amenities, it would be nice if there were skincare items such as toner/lotion and makeup remover/cleansing oil.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay at Kamenoi Hotel Ome, booked through IKYU. The food was delicious, and the Onsen bath felt wonderfully soothing on the skin. Our Room was on the top floor, and considering the Accommodation Fee, it was excellent value for money. I would love to stay here again next time.

    It was very good.

    Stayed in the second week of April. With plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, and azaleas all at once, it felt like I couldn’t even tell what month it was—so many flowers and trees, and the cheerful songs of birds were truly soothing. There’s a park nearby as well, making an early-morning walk very pleasant. The Hotel’s complimentary drinks were great, and the meals—and even the tableware—were beautiful, thoughtfully presented, and delicious. I especially loved the tomato chawanmushi and the limited-quantity tomato lassi. I’d like to stay again in a different season.

    A Birthday and Appreciation Celebration for My Mother

    To celebrate my 92-year-old mother’s birthday, we visited Kamenoi in Ome—still within Tokyo, but a place we don’t often go to and not too far from home. My mother is very particular about food, and she was extremely satisfied with the meals (when I mentioned that she doesn’t like meat, they kindly changed part of the menu for her), for which we are truly grateful. The staff were all pleasant and welcoming, and at the restaurant a kind male staff member was especially thoughtful—speaking gently to my mother and discreetly bringing water for her medication. We would definitely like to visit again with friends. Since our goal was simply to relax, it was perfect for us.

    Dog-Friendly Room Plan

    I’ve stayed at various Hotels that allow dogs, but Kamenoi was exceptionally clean and wonderful. At a Hotel that cost several times more, I once found urine from a previous guest’s dog still on the duvet cover when it was provided, which left me quite traumatized. Here, however, I was able to stay comfortably and with peace of mind. I truly hope you will continue maintaining this level of quality. This is definitely a Hotel I want to visit again.

    Your First Trip to Ome

    This was my first time staying here. The facilities have been renovated and were clean and comfortable. The Onsen I had been looking forward to had a pH of 9.9, which surprised me as it was higher than any Onsen area I’d known before. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with lots of thoughtful touches in each dish, and I really enjoyed them. I didn’t research much before coming, but I learned that dogs can stay here too, so next time I’d like to bring my dog along. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’d love to visit again.

    Renovated Accommodation

    I stayed here while I had errands nearby. The Facility seemed to have been renovated and was clean overall. The Room was also a renovated type and felt very clean. It was easy to use and really nice. Dinner was negima hot pot. I hadn’t had it in a while, but it was delicious. Overall, the food felt carefully prepared. Above all, I liked that the late-night ramen could be enjoyed for free. This time I came alone, but next time I’d like to stay with my wife.

    A pleasant surprise!

    This was my first time staying here! The room and lobby were beautifully renovated, making it hard to believe it used to be a "Kanpo no Accommodation"! The staff were friendly while providing resort hotel-level service, giving the impression of being a step above other Kamenoi Hotels. It seems pets are also allowed, so I’d love to visit again with my dog next time! A perfect 100-point accommodation!
