    The open-air bath had an unpleasant odor.

    I chose this Hotel because I was looking for one with an ocean view. From our high-floor Room, the sea felt right in front of us, and our child was delighted. However, the open-air bath was terrible. There was a smell like feces in the air, and it was so bad we couldn’t stay in it. This was true for both the first-floor and top-floor open-air baths. It ruined what should have been a great Onsen experience. I don’t think I will visit again.

    Thank you very much for your kind hospitality. The view of the Pacific Ocean from the open-air rooftop observation bath on the 10th floor was truly breathtaking and wonderfully liberating. Even though I forgot my mobile phone, you kindly helped look for it and even delivered it to the station—I was deeply grateful. Thank you again. I look forward to staying with you again.

    The ocean is the best!

    The ocean view from the balcony of our spacious Room was beautiful and soothing. The meals were delicious as well. It was more crowded than expected, so the bath felt a bit small. It’s clearly a popular Accommodation, and I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel you’ll want to stay at again

    The breakfast and dinner buffet, the panoramic-view bath, the large public bath, the cleanliness of the Room, and the ocean view—everything was absolutely satisfying. The phone charger and water dispenser were an unexpected and welcome touch. Every dish at the buffet was delicious, and we left completely full. The staff were also friendly and helpful with warm smiles. It made for a wonderful trip for us as a couple. Thank you very much.

    Renovated Room

    The renovated Room was clean. The view was also great. The staff at the dining venue were very attentive. One of the staff members was a foreign male, and his service was pleasant.

    The Room, meals, and bath were all very good, but…

    The Accommodation has been renovated, and we had a very comfortable stay. However, at dinner there was an all-you-can-drink alcohol option. I stayed with my daughter, and I appreciated that only one person could choose the all-you-can-drink plan. My daughter ordered and drank one alcoholic drink to keep me company, but when I ordered additional alcohol, I overheard staff whispering—implying that I was ordering for two people while using the all-you-can-drink plan at the price for one. It was awful. If that’s how you see it, then require everyone at the table to choose the all-you-can-drink plan. It left a bad taste, and even the delicious food felt less enjoyable.

    Full Moon over Kujukuri

    This was my first stay, and it was excellent for such a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was especially thoughtful and well stocked—the “clam broth ramen” was made by boiling fresh noodles to order, and it was delicious. I went at 8:30 to avoid the crowds, but since the food is cleared away by 9:00, next time I’d like to go earlier and enjoy more. The Room also felt new, and with an ocean view filling the entire window, it was wonderful to open it and listen to the waves. It happened to be a full moon that day, so I was able to take a lovely photo of the waves and the moon.

    The renovated Room w...

    The renovated Room was clean and spacious. Being oceanfront with a great view made it especially relaxing. The bath was nice as well, but I was concerned to find a lot of hair left behind. I think they are doing a great job with the late-night snack service and the wide variety at the buffet. All the staff were kind and pleasant. I would like to stay again.

    The open, airy atmosphere is wonderful.

    We stayed in the dog cottage. Since you can park right next to it, moving luggage and our dog was very easy. The Room was lovely and clean, but a very strong smell had soaked in—maybe paint, maybe the furniture materials, or maybe a dog odor. If you open the windows that can be opened all the way, the smell doesn’t bother you as much and it feels wonderfully airy. The cottage we stayed in (Cottage ④) had just enough greenery on the garden side to maintain privacy, but Cottages ①–③ have lower plants, so when you walk to the beach you’re fully visible to both other guests and passersby. Also, since it was a weekend, many surfers’ cars were parked from early morning on the garden side in front of those cottages… with everyone able to see each other. I was relieved we weren’t on that side. Next time I stay, I’ll be sure to make a clear request. As for amenities, there were plenty of towels for using the cottage sauna, and there was also a basket and towel set for going to use the bath on the Hotel side, which was extremely helpful. We had trouble because the door leading outside from the sauna and bathroom wouldn’t open, but they repaired it right away—I was impressed by how fast they responded. There is a large table and chairs on the garden side terrace area, but only one camping chair… If there were one per person, we could bring them out onto the artificial turf and relax. Also, there’s only one beach chair for cooling down outside after using the sauna… I’d love another one since I want to lie down. Because there’s thick greenery nearby, there are lots of insects. There was one electric mosquito repellent device provided, but I’d like one for both the kitchen area and living area as well. It would also be great if an outdoor mosquito coil were available too (there are bush mosquitoes). Overall it was a wonderful Hotel. The bath with an amazing view, as well as the nostalgic first-floor public bath area with an old-fashioned feel—and even how kindly attentive all of restaurant staff were… We definitely want to stay again.

    First Stay at Kamenoi Hotel

    There are many Kamenoi Hotels across the whole country, but this was our family’s first stay. As a result, Kamenoi Hotel Kujukuri is an Accommodation with truly outstanding service. Thank you to all the staff who assisted us at check-in/check-out, the restaurant, the shop, and in so many other situations. It genuinely came through that you value communication with your guests. More than the Onsen, we were comforted by your smiles and kind words, and it left us feeling warm inside. The dog-friendly Room had an excellent sauna! I’d love to stay in this Room again next time just for the sauna. On the other hand, I felt there is room for improvement in terms of cleaning. In particular, it was honestly unpleasant to find stray hairs—apparently from another dog—left inside our dog’s crate (on the waterproof sheet and under the toilet tray). As I mentioned at checkout, please repair the damaged wire fence of the private dog run as soon as possible for the safety of future dogs staying here. I’ve written various things here, but your hospitality was so wonderful that it more than made up for those negatives, and we will be back again soon. Lastly, to all of the international staff at the restaurant (buffet venue): even when busy, you worked without losing your smiles—you are truly charming and wonderful. Watching you work so cheerfully made me promise myself: “I’ll do my best to enjoy my work too.” I’m deeply impressed by Kamenoi Hotel Kujukuri as a place where international staff can work so vibrantly like this.

    We traveled with our...

    We traveled with our dog. The BBQ on the terrace was amazing! Breakfast was crowded, and we arrived just before seating closed, so we had to eat in a rush, which was disappointing. Other than that, it was good!

    This Hotel offers delicious meals.

    We stayed for one night during Golden Week. The baths were spacious and offered a wide variety, so it didn’t feel crowded at all. We were able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. The food featured plenty of seafood, and everything tasted great. However, the layout and flow of both the buffet line and seating area were confusing. Since the kids’ menu and the ramen station (which takes time to prepare) are located right at the entrance, it gets congested and it’s hard to move forward. We also found a single hair floating in the fruit punch. Maybe because the wind was strong? I woke up many times during the night due to the sound of waves. I’ve stayed at Hotels near the sea before, but this was the first time I was bothered by wave noise this much. All of the Hotel staff provided wonderful service with great care. Thank you very much. We would like to visit again.

    Does the quality of ...

    Does the quality of the meals at the Hotel differ between weekends (higher rates) and weekdays (lower rates)? The meals I had on weekends and weekdays were very different in quality. On weekdays, the shrimp and pork were not fresh, and the steak was processed meat. If this difference is due to pricing or ingredient freshness, please clearly state it in the remarks section.

    I used this accommodation for a workcation.

    We stayed in the cottage for three nights. It was comfortable, with a sauna on site and BBQ facilities. The kitchen was well equipped, so we cooked our own lunch. The scenic-view bath was amazing! All the Hotel staff were friendly and smiling, which made our stay very pleasant. Since the buffet menu is fairly consistent, guests on a Multiple Night Stay might get a little tired of it.
