  The room was very spacious and clean, located within 1 kilometer of Shijo, with an Onsen available. It was affordable and offered great value for money. I would love to stay at this Hotel again!

  The sauna is truly disappointing.

  I always choose accommodations with saunas during business trips to unwind after a long day. I was looking forward to the public bath with a sauna, as they are quite rare, but the sauna was only around 60 degrees, and the auto löyly system was not functioning at all, which left me very disappointed. Was it out of order? There was no mention of this issue, so perhaps this is just how it normally operates... Since yugen has just opened, the room was very clean and I found the tatami space very relaxing.

  The location, facilities, and service were excellent.

  A newly opened hotel as of September 29, located in the heart of the Shijo area, offering convenient access to various destinations and surrounded by excellent restaurants. The guest rooms feature a design that combines the charm of a Ryokan with modern Hotel elements. The spacious bathroom facilities provide a luxurious experience. The large public bath includes a sauna with löyly and a cold bath, which is an exceptional Facility rarely found in hotels in Kyoto. The staff provided attentive service throughout our stay. With only 58 rooms, the hotel offers an intimate atmosphere, ensuring quiet and relaxing surroundings within the premises. The restaurant is set to open soon; for now, breakfast was served as a bento box featuring delicious grilled black cod. We look forward to visiting again once the restaurant opens!

  Unfortunately!

  The bathroom was out of service due to plumbing issues until after 9 PM, which was very disappointing as I had been looking forward to it. Additionally, since the restaurant was not yet open, breakfast was served in the room, which I understood and accepted. However, I wish there had been a table provided for eating the bento box. It was very disappointing.

  Newly Opened Hotel

  Stayed on the second day of opening. The accommodation was spotless, and although the staff were still getting used to things, they were very polite and attentive. The room was the largest one with a sauna, and with the special opening price, it was fantastic. I also visited the public bath. It was moderately spacious, and the changing area was clean, but I would have appreciated either having items like lotion and brushes available or being informed that nothing was provided. I was inconvenienced by the lack of a brush. I would be happy if this could be improved. I would love to stay again.
