    A kura is a kura.

I chose this place because the Reviews were highly rated and I wanted to try staying in a traditional old house. The staff, who clearly love the local area, and the delicious food were wonderful. However, as you might expect for a storehouse, there are only small windows—I didn’t realize that at all. There are no windows in the bathroom or toilet either. The Room’s small window also has no screen, so if you open it, insects come in. In the end, we kept everything shut and used the air conditioner even though the temperature didn’t really require it. It’s quite expensive, but it felt a bit confining. Another thing I didn’t know was that when you step out of the storehouse there is no entryway, so shoes were left outside. There were many things I didn’t know beforehand. In that sense, it was a very good experience of staying in an old house—but I still felt it was a little overpriced.

We had a wonderful trip at this charming Accommodation.

This Accommodation is a renovated building about 400 years old, preserving its historic charm while offering new, easy-to-use Facilities such as the bath and toilet, making for a very comfortable stay. In Room 101, the kitchen is separated by only one wall, so sounds and conversations carry. I found myself speaking quietly at times, but if you take it generously as part of the building’s character, it feels fresh and even enjoyable. There is no TV or clock, but I slept well and felt refreshed. The rolled omelet and vegetables at breakfast were delicious, and the dinner tableware was lovely. I recommend booking “Breakfast & Dinner (2 meals) + in-house tour” as one set. If you don’t eat at this Accommodation, there are almost no dinner options nearby.

Since it was a short trip nearby, we hadn’t planned much, but the staff recommended places to visit and we were able to enjoy sightseeing in the area. The Room, renovated from an old merchant house, still had a slightly aged feel, but it felt fresh and unique. The meals were all carefully prepared dishes, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff provided thoughtful service that anticipated our needs, which made our stay very comfortable.

First stay in a traditional Japanese house!

I had always wanted to stay in a traditional Japanese house, and as soon as I found this Accommodation on social media, I made a Reservation. It was even quieter and more relaxing than I expected—an Accommodation where I could forget the rush of everyday life and truly feel time slow down. The meals, with rich and flavorful dashi, were excellent. The only disappointment was that the power switch was a little hard to find when boiling water in the Room. I really appreciated how kind and attentive the staff were. After dinner, an evening walk through Inuyama’s castle town was also charming and enjoyable.

    We were extremely satisfied!

We stayed here for a winter break group trip with friends. It was within walking distance of Inuyama Castle, and there were plenty of nearby spots for street food, making this Accommodation highly recommended for sightseeing. The Hotel was also spacious—perfect for a group trip! Recently, “Bread and Espresso and.” opened inside the Hotel, so we got takeout and ate in our room. Staying in a traditional old house like this—something we don’t usually get to do—became a truly wonderful memory!! We’ll definitely stay again!

We were very satisfied with both the service and the meals. They contacted us in advance about meals for our 2-year-old child, which made us feel very reassured. The staff were all pleasant, casually sharing things like details about the ingredients and the garden. However, perhaps because it is a renovated storehouse, the stairs to the second floor were steep, and we felt it could be dangerous when going down. The bath had a nice atmosphere as well, but we noticed that drainage during shower use was not working well and seemed somewhat clogged. Still, it was an Accommodation we would like to stay at again.

For those who love traditional Japanese farmhouse accommodations.

I often stay at traditional Japanese house Accommodations. This time, I stayed in Inuyama the night before going to an air show. The Room was so spacious it felt like a waste for just one person, and the furnishings were lovely. At the dining area, I enjoyed Japanese cuisine while looking out at the garden. At a previous Accommodation, day diners and families were noisy and it really spoiled the mood, so I was worried this time too—but I’m glad I could spend an elegant time in a private room. Some people might find the meal portions a bit light, but for an Accommodation with a medicinal-cuisine concept, I thought this Japanese meal was perfect. There are also plenty of street foods to try along Jonamachi Street. The sesame tofu and rolled omelet were delicious. That said, since I prefer plain white rice, it would be nice if there were some kind of option available. The staff’s smiles and unobtrusive service were also wonderful. Now I understand what “staying as if you live there” means—I wished I could have stayed a little longer. Since we were heading to the base the next day, I didn’t drink the honeysuckle liqueur and held back even though I wanted to try all of the medicinal teas—so I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I stayed here while sightseeing in Inuyama.

I stayed here on my first trip to Inuyama. I found this Accommodation while searching, and in the end it felt like great value for money. The staff were courteous, which made me feel at ease. The meals used wholesome ingredients and were gently seasoned. The “Nindoyu” bath was also very relaxing, and my skin felt smoother afterward. It was only one night, but I felt refreshed. There were a couple of minor things I noticed, but nothing major. I’m grateful I could spend such a relaxing time here. Thank you very much.

    I stayed here for sightseeing.

I stayed here for a personal trip and sightseeing in Inuyama. Room A renovated storehouse Room. I love old buildings, so it was wonderful. Only a few points I noticed: - There was no power outlet near the kettle, so boiling water took a bit of extra effort. It would be great if this could be improved. - The bath is made of stone, and in winter it felt like the stone absorbed the heat at first, making the water cool down easily. Some advice or tips would be helpful. Meals Dinner was a fish-focused kaiseki course. Kyoto-style? Overall, the flavors were refined. Personally, I especially liked the clam tempura. Everything was delicious, but since it was quite light overall, having one or two more meat dishes might have made it more satisfying. Also, during the explanation of each dish, there wasn’t any mention of where the ingredients were sourced from. If local ingredients are used, highlighting that would add a special touch. The private dining Room was very lovely. Breakfast continued with a Kyoto-style Japanese set meal. The rolled omelet and simmered dishes were delicious. If I had to ask for one thing, I think it would be better if the grilled fish and chicken were served hot. Also, it would have been nice to have an option for plain white rice. Other - All staff members were polite and attentive, and I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
