    Full name at the entrance

The practice of confirming it out loud should be discontinued for privacy reasons. It was the worst.

    We had a relaxing stay.

This was my first stay (2 nights, 3 days). Since it has only been a few months since opening, everything was clean and the Room was simple. Check-in was smooth, which was great. When I first entered the Room, I was a little confused because there was a closet in the middle of the Room. Also, the switches for the lighting and curtains were on the wall and hard to figure out at first, but design-wise it wasn’t cluttered at all, and I really liked it. The bathtub in the Room felt a bit too large (it takes time to fill with hot water). Since there were many things I didn’t understand, I ended up calling housekeeping several times. I heard that guests can use the fitness gym and pool, so I brought my shoes, workout clothes, and swimsuit. It would be nice if the gym had a few more machines. The pool is 20 meters long and the water temperature was slightly warm, making it easy to swim. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, including locally sourced dishes, so I was satisfied. At check-out, the concierge arranged for me to be driven to Sapporo Station in one of the Hotel’s cars, and it ended up being three very fulfilling days.

I believe the breakfast is very satisfying.

I am an IKYU Premium member, and I use Business Hotels, luxury Hotels, and Ryokan depending on the occasion. First: (1) The staff were not able to respond flexibly to customer complaints. Their level of professionalism as hotel staff was far from sufficient. (2) A problem occurred with the bath at night, and I was forced to change rooms; however, it was so late that I could not take a bath. (3) The step in the bathroom and the height of the bed bothered me. (4) I was shocked by stains on glasses in the wash area and elsewhere. (5) Breakfast is probably the most expensive in Sapporo, but overall satisfaction is high. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, you likely won’t get tired of it. If they expanded the dessert selection, it would be perfect. Overall, there are also some good staff members. Guests simply expect service that matches the price. InterContinental needs to get its act together.

A Luxury Hotel Finally Opened in Sapporo

We stayed for three nights over the New Year holidays as a couple with one elementary-school-aged child. Location: It’s in central Sapporo, but a bit away from the Odori Park area and Susukino. In winter, walking isn’t really practical, so I got around by taxi. There’s a convenience store in the same building. Room: The bathtub is very large. The vanity area is an unusual layout with access from both the entry side and the bedroom side. Because more space is used for the wet areas, the Room can feel slightly smaller than its stated size—pros and cons there. The interior design is high quality. Common areas: In addition to the lobby and all-day dining, there’s an outdoor terrace, a pool, and spa Facilitys. The pool has a beautiful view of Mt. Moiwa. The terrace is also great—you can get fresh air and enjoy the scenery. Service: Since it was New Year’s, they held a countdown party for JPY 10,000 per person. There were also complimentary events such as watching the first sunrise of the year and making snowmen—overall, guest services were well planned for a Hotel stay during this season (though “Hotel” is not the right word here; it should be Accommodation). However, they seemed short-staffed: it was hard to get through by phone both for room service and when calling at checkout to request help with luggage. The lobby interior is excellent, with an indoor water feature and a fireplace. Breakfast: The restaurant interior is upscale. The presentation and variety of dishes are what you’d expect from a luxury Hotel. Food quality was good for Western items, but the Japanese options were less impressive—the dashi and seasoning felt off. Maybe the head chef isn’t as strong with Japanese cuisine. Overall satisfaction: Despite being newly opened, they seem to be working hard operationally. The Facilitys are high quality, making this a luxury Accommodation with high overall satisfaction.

The club lounge is a bit disappointing.

I have been using InterContinental hotels both domestically and internationally, and I was looking forward to the opening in Sapporo this October. This time, I made a reservation for two people with Club Lounge access. The staff's service during check-in and other times was excellent. However, the food presentation at the Club Lounge was disappointing overall. Perhaps aiming for a natural approach, the flavors felt somewhat bland. Since it has just opened, I hope for improvements in the future. The facilities and room were clean and satisfactory.
