  My face is itchy.

  Overall, this stay left me with a lot of frustrations. First, the staff member who guided us to the front desk spoke to us in English. Did we not look Japanese? If they spoke English to everyone, that would be one thing, but it seemed they spoke Japanese to other Japanese guests, which was disappointing. Next, the shower holder: when I hung the shower head on it, the angle kept shifting on its own and wouldn’t stay in place. I tried adjusting it in every way I could, but it always turned toward the wall, so I had no choice but to hold the shower head by hand. Finally, there was hair on the pillow that was clearly not ours. I didn’t like it, but since there were two pillows, I used the other one. When I woke up, I had a rash from my chin down to my neck. It was extremely itchy and badly red and swollen, so I went to a dermatologist immediately after returning home. I feel this was an unnecessary expense that would not have happened if we hadn’t stayed here. Are sheets and other linens properly changed and washed for every guest each time? It felt unhygienic—as if they might be reused as long as they don’t look obviously dirty.

Although you chose our hotel from among many options, we sincerely apologize for the repeated discomfort you experienced during your stay. We deeply regret that your stay left you disappointed and that these unpleasant feelings remained even after you returned home. First, we apologize if our greeting upon your arrival made you feel uncomfortable or disappointed. As we welcome many guests from Japan and overseas, our staff may sometimes address guests in English. However, if this made you feel unwelcome or excluded, we recognize that our consideration was insufficient. Going forward, we will strive to communicate more appropriately and attentively with each guest. We also sincerely apologize for the inconvenience regarding the shower facilities. After receiving your feedback, we inspected the guest room; however, no issues were found with the equipment. That said, it does not change the fact that you experienced inconvenience during your stay and were unable to use it comfortably. We take your comments seriously and will continue to strengthen our inspection procedures. Regarding hair found on the pillow, we offer our deepest apologies for causing such discomfort in a space that should be clean. While all linens are replaced at every cleaning, we take very seriously that this situation caused a loss of trust. We will review our room inspection procedures, including final checks, and work to prevent recurrence. We also understand that you developed skin symptoms after your stay and had to visit a medical facility; this must have been very distressing and concerning for you. We truly regret that what should have been a comfortable and安心 stay resulted in such worry.   My Reservation was incorrect, and the Room was also wrong.

  Although I made two reservations, I was told only one was on record. It turned out to be a misunderstanding, but when I checked in at night, my Room was assigned incorrectly. They later apologized by providing breakfast, but it was an extremely exhausting day.

  DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake

  I stayed one night to watch a tennis match in Ariake. The room was smaller than I expected, and there wasn’t really anywhere to relax, but since I only needed a place to sleep, it wasn’t an issue. The amenities were eco-friendly (no individual packaging, etc.), but they were Crabtree & Evelyn, so the scent and feel were great. I didn’t use the dinner service, but I did have the breakfast buffet. The variety and taste were more than sufficient. The breakfast area was crowded and I had to wait a bit. The front desk staff were efficient yet courteous in their guidance, which was excellent. The complimentary cookies were also very delicious.

  Bright and comfortable.

  Located just steps away from Kokusai-Tenjijo Station, the Hotel is easy to find with clear signage, ensuring no confusion. The chocolate chip cookie service at check-in was delightful—warm and ready to enjoy. The Room isn't very spacious but is functionally designed with all necessary amenities provided. The two double beds are placed together, which worked well for us. The bathroom includes a washing area and a bathtub for a relaxing soak, complemented by a rain shower—a nice touch. It would be even better if smart TV functionality were available. The breakfast venue had an international atmosphere where we felt like the minority among diverse guests. As expected from the Hilton Group, the menu was excellent! In addition to an egg station, there were live kitchen options like Fukagawa-meshi and soba noodles that stood out. Being close to Ariake Garden made our stay even more enjoyable!

  We stayed as a group...

  We stayed as a group of four. The Room was spacious enough, and we appreciated the separate nightwear. The cookies provided were delicious. It would have been nice to have individually packaged skincare items like cleansing products, but overall, we had a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

  I visited Design Festa for the first time.

  My daughter and I went to Design Festa for the first time. The Hotel was very close to the station (it felt like it was right next to it) and connected to a Seven-Eleven on the first floor, which was very convenient. The Room felt a bit small, but the bathroom had a separate bathtub and washing area, which was great. It would have been even better if the toilet had been separate as well. As for amenities, I usually prefer brushes, but there was only a comb this time. However, even with just a comb, it wasn’t inconvenient. Breakfast was very delicious. I wanted to enjoy it in a more relaxed seating area, but our seats were in a spot where people passed by frequently and often bumped into our chairs. From start to finish, the staff’s service was excellent. They even thanked us at checkout—something that surprisingly hasn’t always happened at other places before! It was an excellent Hotel overall!

  We stayed as a family of three. We had made a reservation to check in at 3:00 PM, but when we arrived around 3:30 PM and waited in line for our turn at the reception, we were informed that the room was not ready due to delays and would not be available until after 4:15 PM. Hoping for an enjoyable stay, we decided to complete only the check-in process without receiving the key and spent time walking around nearby in the cold while waiting, as we had plans for dinner. When my son arrived, we returned to reception around 4:30 PM but had to wait again. After some time-consuming confirmation processes, we were finally able to enter our room. However, despite reserving a spacious room with three beds for three people, there were only two beds prepared. It turned out that they mistakenly set up three beds in the neighboring room instead of ours. Unable to relax in our room as planned, we gave up and went for an early dinner feeling disappointed. We had been looking forward to enjoying a relaxing stay at this lovely hotel but ended up very disappointed instead.

  Good.

  Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The Room was clean and nice. Used the provided shampoo on the first day, but it made my hair rough. The front desk staff's service was excellent. However, I was annoyed by some guests, possibly from China, spreading out their luggage and purchases in the lobby.
