    A Comfortable Space

    It was a very comfortable space, and there were bathrooms with a sauna and jet bath on both the 1st and 2nd floors, so two families could use them without hesitation. There were also thoughtful provisions that made it possible to cook for ourselves, allowing us to enjoy a very fulfilling stay. Thank you very much.

    This was a wonderful private house—spotlessly clean and thoughtfully furnished with great attention to detail. We enjoyed relaxing by the wood-burning stove, and the meals were delicious.

    Since having children, we’ve been using Vacation Rentals more often, and this one impressed us by far with its exceptional quality and feel. It was on a level that recent Hotel suites simply can’t match. I love interior design, so it was also inspiring to see the styling and coordination. Even the cutlery was Cutipol, and the in-room skincare amenities (their own brand?) were excellent as well. No complaints at all. If I had to mention one thing, I thought the complimentary drinks could feel a bit more local to better match the high standard of the Facility. Thank you for having us.

    Create unforgettable memories.

    I finally got to stay at Kawanone, a place I’d long admired. All the staff at check-in were from overseas, and I appreciated their hardworking, polite service. The Accommodation was an even more impressive luxury home than I imagined—I was thrilled! Having 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, and 3 toilets was extremely convenient. The appliances were high-end as well; I especially loved the Miele oven and the Bang & Olufsen speakers. The easy-to-prepare breakfast was delicious too. Although our one-night, two-day stay flew by, we fully enjoyed Karuizawa’s nature and it became a memorable trip. I would definitely like to stay again.

    Perfect for a digital detox!

    A stunning private villa rental that will make everyone exclaim "Wow!" upon entering—everything was simply wonderful. The highlights included a large jacuzzi bath with plenty of scented Epsom salts, an electric yet authentic sauna, and a terrace connected to the bath where you could enjoy the sound of a flowing river and chirping birds. It was truly exceptional. The fireplace, which I had always dreamed of using, was easy to light on my own and left me thrilled. The beds were incredibly comfortable for a restful sleep until morning. The shadows of trees reflected on the plain electric roll-up blinds in the morning sunlight looked like a beautiful painting. We also enjoyed the autumn foliage from the first-floor terrace. The kitchen Facility was well-equipped with tools, and even a drum washing machine was provided. However, only one downside—the meals were seasoned quite heavily. It would have been nicer if they used local ingredients in lighter flavors. Conveniently located near Old Karuizawa as well! Just recalling it makes me want to visit again already!

    Excellent

    We stayed with six people. The accommodation was very spacious and we fully enjoyed the facilities. The portion size of the meals could be slightly smaller, but the food itself was extremely delicious. However, a bit more promptness would be appreciated. It might be nice to have a square table for card games or simple activities. With just one night, it might not be enough time to fully enjoy the room, so staying for two nights could be ideal.

    I recently took a vacation and decided to spend some relaxing time with my husband, so we made a Reservation for this villa that had caught our attention. Our stay was absolutely perfect in every way. The moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped by the high ceilings and sophisticated atmosphere, which gave us a sense of luxury and comfort. Sipping coffee on the terrace while listening to the gentle sound of the river, wrapped in a blanket, was pure bliss. It was an indulgent moment of connecting with nature and escaping from the hustle and bustle of daily life. For dinner, we tried cooking something simple using takeout items and local ingredients from Karuizawa. The villa provided all necessary tableware and cutlery, along with user-friendly appliances accompanied by clear instructions compiled into an original guidebook—making it easy even for first-time visitors like us to enjoy comfortably. Cleanup was effortless thanks to a large dishwasher made overseas; everything about our stay felt smooth and pleasant throughout. The private sauna and jacuzzi were spacious, allowing us to refresh both body and mind while surrounded by the scent of the forest. We were impressed by thoughtful touches such as an outdoor relaxation area next to the bathroom or towel heaters that are especially appreciated on chilly days—every detail reflected care in design. This time around, since it was close to Ginza Street (Ginza-dori), we opted for breakfast included at their on-site restaurant—a hidden gem offering calm ambiance where even families can feel welcome! We talked about inviting my sister’s family with kids next time too. A truly luxurious retreat where rich memories are created—we can’t wait until our next visit!

    It should be nearby, but...

    The car navigation system couldn't find the accommodation name, address, or phone number. Even with Google Maps on my smartphone, I couldn't locate the building as it was getting dark. The public road was narrow and quite busy with cars. I had no choice but to park at a restaurant and search on foot. Finally found it right in front of me! Please make the accommodation name plate more noticeable at night—I passed by twice! Other than that, satisfaction is 10/10!! It's a grand mansion where you can feel like a successful person in life. Within walking distance to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza Street. Very convenient. I will definitely stay again!

    Elegant Time

    Following our stay at "Yama no Fumoto" in February, this time we chose "Kawa no Oto" for its proximity to Karuizawa Ginza and its riverside location, anticipating the early summer climate. Just like "Yama no Fumoto," all the furnishings were exquisite, allowing us to enjoy an elegant and relaxing time. The family who joined me also appreciated being surrounded by beautiful fresh greenery. Despite the unfortunate weather, it was a refreshing experience for all of us. The staff's service was courteous and attentive. I rated the meals three stars—not because they were bad but because I personally prefer the dining experience at their sister property, "Fufu." Compared to that standard, I felt there was room for improvement to make everything perfect. The meals were neither outstanding nor disappointing—just neutral—but everything else (room ambiance, staff service) was flawless. This is a perfect place to indulge in a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere while being surrounded by nature. Opting for No Meals Included and dining elsewhere could also be an option...

    Everything was perfect.

    It was a delightful surprise to find that the actual experience surpassed the photos! The greenery visible from the room immediately caught our attention. The location is convenient, within walking distance of the shopping street. The sauna was great, especially being able to adjust the temperature ourselves. From the outdoor relaxation area, we could enjoy views of lush greenery and perfect outdoor temperatures. My husband was captivated by the wood stove and thoroughly enjoyed it. We visited with my husband's parents as two families, and having separate bathrooms and toilets on both floors provided privacy and comfort for everyone. Simply gazing outside without doing anything felt incredibly refreshing for the soul. Next time, we’d love to plan a Multiple Night Stay!

    It was a lovely villa.

    It was my first time staying in an entire accommodation. Since it’s still new, the facility and amenities were clean everywhere. There were many light switches, which wasn’t a problem once I got used to them, but having a master switch to turn off all lights at once would be convenient. I enjoyed spending relaxing time by the fireplace with firewood. Breakfast was prepared in advance in the refrigerator, and I chose to cook it myself, but considering the 11:00 AM checkout time, it felt a bit rushed. However, experiencing the latest appliances was great. For amenities, I think it would be better if the toothbrushes and razors were of slightly higher quality. If possible, staying for multiple nights might allow for a more leisurely experience. Thank you to all the staff for your kind assistance!

    I would like a Multiple Night Stay.

    I stayed at the affiliated accommodation "Foot of the Mountain" exactly one month ago, and this time, I was able to spend a relaxing day in an even more wonderful accommodation. Personally, I think I might prefer "Sound of the River" this time... Here, you can open the windows without worrying about being seen by anyone and enjoy tea or yoga in Karuizawa's fresh air. I also had a dreamy time soaking in the bath and fully enjoying the sauna. Next time, I'd like to aim for days when it's more affordable and stay for at least two nights! (Haha) Although it was just breakfast included, it was exactly the same as "Foot of the Mountain." It would be nice if there were some variations. The salad dressing was amazing—I ended up eating all of my mountain of vegetables. The drinks in the fridge were also very satisfying with delicious peach and apple juice (you can take any leftovers home). One thing that caught my attention is that there's a bit of distance between the bath mat and towel warmer. It would be great if there were something near the bathroom to hang towels on. Anyway, once again, I had an absolutely wonderful time with an affordable plan. Thank you so much! I definitely want to visit again!!

    Beautiful Villa

    It was a lovely villa that made us wish to live in such a house. However, as Onsen lovers, we felt it was somewhat lacking and couldn't fully relax until check-out. Dinner was not very impressive, and preparing our own breakfast felt inconvenient. Staying with a "No Meals Included" plan and renting bicycles for food tours might have been better. The staff were all very kind and provided excellent service. The Nepalese staff worked hard and spoke Japanese well. We love the affiliated Fufu properties and use them every year in various locations. This time, both Fufu Karuizawa experiences were wonderful as well!

    It was a blissful time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

    I was delighted to have the Shuttle Service to Karuizawa Station. The concierge staff were very polite, and it was reassuring that they promptly assisted whenever I needed help. The room was very spacious, stylish, and photogenic everywhere. With floor heating, I was able to stay warm even during the cold winter season. For meals, I only requested breakfast, but it was very delicious. The portions were generous, and I was happy that the menu changed daily. They also prepared drinks, including alcohol and juice, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Being close to Old Karuizawa, I could take a walk during lunchtime. After the sauna, I enjoyed the outdoor air while relaxing on the swing sofa, which was wonderful. I would love to stay here again soon.

    I would like to stay again!

    I stayed during Christmas. The Room was very clean, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. The breakfast was also very delicious. The portion was a bit too much for two people, so it would be nice if it could be adjusted according to the number of people. The use of kitchen appliances like the oven was difficult, but it was helpful to have an instruction manual. There was also a space where I could work, so I would like to stay for a long time while doing remote work!
