    Dorsett Suite

    We stayed in a Dorset Suite because it was affordable. It was on the 2nd floor rather than a high floor, which was convenient since we could get out quickly. (The breakfast venue and restrooms are also on the same floor.) The view was a pleasant harbor view. If the season is nice, I think it would feel great to take a morning walk around the area. The Room also felt fairly new and spacious, and we were satisfied.

    The Facility was very clean, and the staff were helpful. The barrier-free Room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and easy to use. The breakfast buffet felt a bit lacking for the price. During our Multiple Night Stay, I would have preferred to use a single parking ticket valid through the final day, rather than exchanging it each day.

    About the Breakfast Venue

    The location and the afternoon tea were great, but I was disappointed with how the staff handled things at breakfast. About half of the guests in the breakfast area were international visitors. I was shown to a seat by a staff member and placed an “In Use” card on the table while I was eating, but later a Chinese guest put their tablet on my table. When I informed a staff member, I was told to move because there was another seat three tables away. I could not understand why the person who had already taken the seat and placed an “In Use” card should be asked to move and give it up to someone who arrived later, so I explained to the tablet’s owner that I had reserved the seat first and asked them to move instead. They moved to another table, clearly unhappy. Given how many international guests stay at this Hotel, I believe it should be clearly explained in multiple languages that seats with an “In Use” card cannot be taken. Also, is it really Hotel policy or staff training to ask seated guests to move? It was extremely unpleasant. Please improve the environment so guests can enjoy breakfast comfortably and provide additional training for your staff.

    It was a wonderful new Hotel.

    We stayed here for sightseeing in Osaka. As it is a new Hotel, it was very clean, well located, and conveniently close to the station. The Room was also well cleaned, and the staff were excellent. The price was reasonable, and we are considering making this our regular place to stay. We will use it again on our next trip to Osaka.

    Thoughtful attention to detail

    This time, I stayed here while traveling with my mother, who has difficulty walking. From the moment we entered the hotel, they seemed to notice her using a cane, and at check-in the front desk staff kindly offered advice and suggestions to make things easier for her. Thanks to their support, we were able to move around comfortably and had a very pleasant stay. They also checked in on us politely by asking if we were okay, and I’m glad we chose to stay at this hotel. My mother said she would like to stay here again, which shows how comfortable and relaxing it was for her. We booked a sea-view Room, so the scenery was beautiful and it was quiet at night. All of the staff greeted us warmly and handled everything courteously with wonderful smiles—I highly recommend this place. Breakfast can involve a wait when there are many guests staying, so I recommend going with extra time. We were lucky not to have to wait because our timing was good. My personal highlight of the meal was the wide variety of desserts—we enjoyed them together like we were at a café! I also recommend the breakfast!

    No chairs in the Room

    We stayed here after a late arrival at Kansai International Airport with the No Meals Included Plan. Two of us used a twin Room. The Room is clean and uncluttered, but the Facility and amenities are kept to a minimum. There are no chairs in the Room; instead, there is a large low table-like platform by the window. There was a cushion, so I tried sitting on it, but it felt unstable and not relaxing. On the plus side, this “platform” is wide enough to open two suitcases and organize luggage, which was convenient. Also, when sitting on the bed, you have to turn your head 90 degrees to watch TV. Overall, it’s not a Room designed for sitting back and relaxing. There’s no desk either, so it’s not suitable for working on a laptop. There are only four power outlets in total: one by each pillow (2), one next to the kettle (1), and one in the bathroom (1), which feels limited for a modern Hotel. If you’re driving and just need somewhere to sleep at an affordable rate with that mindset, this Plan should work well.

    It was the classic “...

    It was the classic “you get what you pay for” Hotel. Even on the phone, their response felt unpleasant. The front desk told us breakfast would be crowded around 8:00 a.m. because of a tour group, so we went at 6:30—but it was instantly full of the group, with lines even at the entrance. It was so overcrowded that some foreign guests who couldn’t find seats ended up sitting at our small table without asking. There were also long lines at the buffet, and after about 20 minutes we still couldn’t get any food. I felt sorry for those guests as they wandered around looking for seats. They should be able to manage group times or split breakfast into two sessions—something even a child could understand. Overall, the front desk service was poor and exactly what you’d expect from a cheap place.

    Not relaxing.

    The Room has only a bed and a large white platform, and you sit by placing cushions on the platform. I would like a proper chair to relax in. Although it is very close to Sakai Station (South Exit), the riverside route was not clearly indicated, so I ended up taking a long detour from Phoenix Street with a heavy suitcase. It was disappointing to arrive drenched in sweat.

    I stayed with my 5-month-old daughter, and the staff were very welcoming to families with children, so we had a very comfortable stay! Having a baby crib was also very helpful!

    As this is a new Facility, it is comfortable.

    At breakfast, most guests were international travelers, and the atmosphere felt almost like being in Singapore or Malaysia. For this price, the buffet offered a good variety, and it was clear the kitchen staff had put a lot of thought into it. I will stay here again.

    The affordable Plan faces the road.

    The cheaper Plan places you in a Room facing the road, and even late at night there is quite a bit of traffic such as large trucks, so you can still hear the road noise. Perhaps due to the building’s soundproofing, it comes through like low-frequency noise. This is especially noticeable on lower floors. Even if you only plan to sleep, quieter is always better. Even when requesting an upper floor, I was told none were available. It can’t be helped, but improving satisfaction and encouraging repeat stays often comes down to small touches—words and consideration. It’s disappointing that I find myself wishing for slightly more hospitable service each time. I understand things can’t always be ideal, so I accept that point. The building itself is new and comfortable. Breakfast has an average selection, but the quality is good and I personally think it tastes great.

    While the Facility is top-class, expectations for service are also higher.

    Among the Hotels I have stayed at, I am impressed by your careful investment in Facilities. It may be a challenge to rebuild systems that ensure attentive, hospitable service throughout. For example, given the limited capacity of the restaurant, there seems to be room for improvement by accurately forecasting guest numbers in advance and managing breakfast entry for the next day to reduce waiting lines and streamline the workload for Hotel restaurant staff.

    We should do something about breakfast.

    I couldn’t sleep due to noisy motorcycle gangs on the national road right in front of the property. When I went to the breakfast venue in the morning, I ended up waiting over 30 minutes, and there was no food replenishment—apparently due to a lack of staff—and they even ran out of plates. Seeing the line in advance, I told the front desk that I didn’t have time and wanted a refund, but they gave me the usual “we can’t” response. If they can’t handle it, they should adjust capacity at the time of Reservation. I won’t be coming back.

    The new Facility was very clean and beautiful.

    Thank you for allowing us to check in even though we arrived early. The parking is a coin-operated lot next to the Hotel, but during our stay the front desk validated it so we could enter and exit as many times as we liked, which was very convenient. From the second floor, there is direct access to the deck leading toward Ohama Park, which was helpful when taking walks around the area, such as along the canal promenade. Breakfast was generally very good. There was a wide variety of options, and the desserts in particular were excellent. It was also great to have a water dispenser and an ice machine; we appreciated the environmentally conscious approach of providing water without plastic bottles.

    Stay at the Hotel that caught your attention during its construction.

    I chose to stay here as I was curious since its construction. The accommodation exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness and well-equipped facilities. The breakfast offerings were excellent, and the atmosphere and view from the dining area were outstanding. The quality and variety of amenities were impressive. The welcome drinks near the front desk were plentiful and satisfying. One minor issue was the lack of a container for disposing of tea bags from the welcome drinks, which caused some inconvenience. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay. The cost-performance is excellent, so I recommended this hotel to my brother and acquaintances as a must-visit accommodation. I would love to stay here again if given another opportunity. Thank you very much!

    Best Value in Sakai

    I always use this Hotel whenever I come to Sakai since this year. The cost-performance is excellent, and I can't think of staying at any other Hotel. It's within walking distance from the station, making it very convenient. The bed was comfortable, and I slept soundly. I will use it again next year.

    Exceptional Hospitality

    The newly opened Hotel is very clean, and above all, thanks to the attentive care of the Hotel staff (especially the Korean male staff), I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

    This is my second stay. This hotel offers the best value for money in Sakai. It is conveniently located near the station, making it suitable for both train and car travel. There is also a convenience store nearby, which is very handy. The Facility was well-maintained and clean throughout.

    Satisfaction

    I stayed at Hotel Agora Regency and enjoyed dinner there as well. It was a very clean hotel, and I was satisfied with my stay. The welcome drinks had several options, which was nice. However, I noticed that some staff seemed a bit inexperienced. I look forward to staying again next month.

    Used for my 11th visit to the Expo.

    A ferry Plan to visit the Expo sounds great. This Hotel is very convenient because the ferry terminal to the Expo is right in front. If the ferry schedule doesn’t work, there’s also a shuttle bus from Sakai Station. The place is new and clean, but the ice machine on the 1st floor was broken, and there are vending machines on the 1st floor, though they’re hard to find. Also, there are no alcoholic drinks. There’s no room service either, so you have to go to a nearby convenience store—but it’s fairly far. After coming back tired from the Expo, you honestly don’t want to walk anymore, but you still want a drink. When I returned to my Room, it was way too hot. After being exhausted in midsummer at the Expo, I was really looking forward to a cool Room—so that was disappointing. Since it was midsummer, of course the air conditioning didn’t cool down immediately. Even after taking a bath I was still sweating. If they improve those points, I think it would be a good Hotel. Amenities are self-serve—you choose what you need and take them up to your Room—but note that toothpaste is separate from the toothbrush, so be careful not to forget it. I didn’t expect them to be separate and had to change clothes again and go back for it.

    Tourism and Last-Minute Overnight Stays

    We discovered a reasonably priced hotel for a 2-night, 3-day trip to Osaka! The hotel seems newly built and is very clean. We were surprised by how affordable it was for such quality! When we thought about visiting the Expo as well, we checked the location and found that the station is only about 5 minutes away. Additionally, there’s direct access to the boarding area for boats heading to the Expo from the second-floor entrance! You can also visit Universal Studios Japan from here. From our room window, we could even see how crowded it was at these locations. The view from our window, especially at night, was stunning—our room faced the sea, which made it even more beautiful. This hotel was a lucky find! With easy access by train or boat, we enjoyed sightseeing in Osaka and visiting the Expo without any hassle. Even after walking all day and getting tired, returning to the hotel was quick and convenient thanks to its proximity to both transportation options. There’s also a convenience store nearby where you can buy anything you need. We decided on an extra night’s stay unexpectedly due to arriving earlier than planned. When I called ahead of time, they confirmed availability but asked me to make an online reservation instead. Upon arrival at the hotel, they kindly arranged for us to stay in the same room for multiple nights. Although our reservation was made for three people initially, only two sets of amenities were prepared in our room upon check-in; however, this issue was promptly resolved when I contacted reception—thank you for your attentive service! The coin laundry with automatic detergent dispensers came in handy since my son needed his clothes washed after his training camp in Osaka. Using an app allowed us to track washing times conveniently—I paid via PayPay. My husband enjoyed using dumbbells available at their small fitness area since he likes working out regularly even while traveling—it wasn’t a full gym but sufficient if you're looking for light exercise. For those driving here: parking spaces are available onsite with plenty of spots open during our visit; alternatively searching nearby cheaper parking lots might be another option worth considering too! One minor concern would be dust buildup noticed around bathroom ventilation fans—it’d enhance overall cleanliness further if addressed properly—but overall experience remains highly satisfying nonetheless! Both myself & my husband agreed this place deserves remembering—we’ll definitely return again someday soon!

    It was very beautiful.

    Stayed for 2 nights during the Expo. The amenity bar was well-stocked, the facility was very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. Extremely satisfied. I walked from the station, but there were some areas where the sidewalk narrowed or ended. Families with children or those carrying large luggage may need to pay extra attention to the route.

    Regarding Accommodation

    The foreign staff did not understand the system, and check-in took 10 minutes. The toilet seat was extremely hot in 37-degree weather. Breakfast had a limited selection of items. Despite requesting a higher floor in advance for a weekday stay, I was placed on the far end of the sixth floor. I will not use this accommodation again, even if it is free.

    For Expo purposes.

    Used after visiting the Expo. About 20 minutes by car from Maishima, the place is new and clean, with parking right next to it and a convenience store nearby. If you're just looking for a place to sleep after staying out late, it's great value for money. I would like to use it again. One thing I noticed was that the website mentioned coffee as part of the amenities, but there was none in the Room or at the amenity bar.

    It's new and clean. The bathroom sink might clog a little easily. It would be perfect if there were a separate desk and mirror for makeup. Mineral water for each guest in the refrigerator would also be appreciated.

    Late check-in and the absence of a restaurant are inconvenient. Although it was mentioned that a luggage roller service was available, it was not prepared. It might be better to indicate from the beginning that the service is unavailable.
