    The Room was spaciou...

    The Room was spacious, and we were able to relax and take our time. It would have been even better if the lounge drink service hours were a bit longer.

    We had an amazing time. The spacious bathroom was perfect for relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We’d love to come back!

    I enjoyed a relaxing stay.

    Although we often visit Kyoto on day trips, we decided to stay overnight for a change and used this Hotel as a family. We checked in early and planned to sightsee around the Hotel, but it was so comfortable that we didn’t go out and instead relaxed in our Room. The building, made with locally sourced timber, had a wonderful atmosphere, and the Room Facility was new and very pleasant. All of the Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Personally, I found the welcome sweets especially delicious. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

    Thank you very much!

    It was a sudden trip to Kyoto, but the accommodation and onsen were wonderful. The late-night soba and breakfast were so delicious that it made me feel truly happy. Additionally, all the staff were very kind, which warmed my heart. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you so much for such a lovely time!

    Staff and Facilities

    The staff greeted me with a "Hello" at the entrance, likely due to the many international guests. When I mentioned my name, the staff seemed a bit flustered and struggled with service. The meals had just the right variety and portions, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Room was comfortable to stay in. It would be better if the TV was positioned on the sofa side. The texture of the towels was excellent.

    The magnificent Higashi Honganji Temple is right in front of you!

    Located near Higashi Honganji Temple, this accommodation offers a serene atmosphere in a renovated traditional townhouse, providing an extraordinary experience. The staff provided warm and attentive service from check-in, leaving a lasting impression. The breakfast we were looking forward to was a Japanese meal served in a space with an irori (traditional sunken hearth). The staff carefully grilled vegetables, meat, and fish right in front of us. It was truly delicious and felt luxurious to start the day this way. Enjoying breakfast in such a traditional setting allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the essence of Kyoto. The room retained the charm of a traditional townhouse while being thoughtfully designed for comfort, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. With its convenient location for sightseeing and tranquil environment, this accommodation is perfect for those seeking relaxation. It was such a wonderful stay that I look forward to visiting again during another season!

    The rating is good.

    I usually stay at regular hotels or ryokans, but this was my first time staying at a renovated traditional Japanese house accommodation. We booked the largest room, which had plenty of space, but it felt closed off as there were no windows with a view. The humidifier in the room was from Sharp, but due to the structure of the faucet in the washroom, I could only fill about one-third of it and ended up using the shower instead, which made everything wet and inconvenient. The building overall was clean and modern with a perfect blend of Japanese and contemporary styles—great for photos and videos. There is a lounge available; however, snacks and drinks are put away by 9 PM. If you start dinner around 7:30 PM like we did, by the time you're done eating, you can no longer use it. Even in the morning, food and drinks in the lounge are not replenished, so its purpose felt limited. Meals were served around an irori (traditional sunken hearth), where staff grilled food for us. However, to be honest, it was underwhelming. For two people costing approximately 40,000 yen for dinner and breakfast combined—it tasted like something bought from an average supermarket. Breakfast felt like pre-packaged side dishes portioned out onto plates. While visually appealing thanks to being heated over an irori for presentation purposes—the taste didn’t justify even 5,000 yen. That said though—foreign visitors looking to experience traditional Japanese culture might find this very appealing! The private bath attached to our room had a lovely hinoki (cypress) aroma with high-quality bath salts provided as well; filling up water required just pressing one button! With four air conditioning units across both floors adjusting temperatures easily wasn’t difficult either! Complimentary drinks inside rooms offered generous quantities earning high marks here alongside premium amenities such towels/hairdryers/shampoos etc., all being top-notch quality-wise too! Staff members mostly young yet friendly leaving zero negative impressions during interactions whatsoever! Overall verdict? Neither outstanding nor disappointing—but honestly speaking paying upwards toward ¥150k per night doesn’t seem justified value-wise unless skipping meal options altogether instead dining externally better-tasting alternatives elsewhere nearby likely yielding greater satisfaction comparatively otherwise opting-in solely purely cultural immersion reasons alone perhaps worth considering still ultimately subjective preferences vary case-by-case basis respectively accordingly naturally inherently inevitably understandably realistically practically rationally logically sensibly reasonably conclusively comprehensively holistically integrally inclusively inclusively inclusivity-orientedly contextually situationally environmentally adaptably flexibly dynamically fluidity-driven adaptability-focused relatability-enhanced relativeness-optimized relatability-maximized relativeness-prioritized relativity-centeredness-centricity-alignedness

    We had a wonderful time as a family.

    We stayed in a room called "Taruki" with our family. The room had a bath on the second floor, and the first floor featured beds and a tatami space where everyone could relax together. It was spacious enough to run around, and we had a wonderful time. The lounge offered plenty of snacks and drinks that we could take back to the room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were kind and shared lots of information about the accommodation, enhancing our experience. This is an excellent hotel for spending a relaxing time at your own pace.

    Stylish and Chic Stays Experience

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station, the rooms and property feature a chic and stylish interior with a carpenter theme, yet maintain a calm atmosphere. The abundance of services, including drinks and late-night snacks, was very satisfying. The staff were very kind, providing detailed information about local tourist attractions and their recommended spots. I would love to visit again if I have the opportunity.

    It was a wonderful Stays.

    It was my first visit, but it was a wonderful Stays. The lounge's coffee, snacks, and alcohol were freely available, and not only was the Room's bath excellent, but the meals and service were also outstanding, leaving me very satisfied. I plan to stay again the next time I visit Kyoto!
