    From the Room, we co...

    From the Room, we could look down and see Hikawa Maru and Yamashita Park, and from the rooftop terrace we could view Marine Tower up close. The view was outstanding. The half-buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of salads, showing great attention to detail. Everything was delicious. We were also happy to have honey and Echire butter. Thank you as well to the staff for your calm and attentive service. We would love to stay again.

    It was a clean and comfortable Hotel.

    I stayed on the Diamond Member perk Room upgrade Plan (Classy King on a high floor, with breakfast). Nothing special was noted at the time of Reservation, but at check-in I was told it was a Diamond Member benefit and received herbal tea, chocolates, and complimentary champagne tickets for the lounge or café. The herbal tea had a beautiful blue butterfly pea color and warmed me up. The champagne was a rosé sparkling wine, and it paired perfectly with the chocolates. The Room was new, spotless, and very functional. The calm color palette felt tasteful, and above all, the view from the large picture window was outstanding. With the bath and toilet completely separate, I could add bath salts and relax in the tub at length. I ordered my champagne at the 12th-floor lounge and took it out to the rooftop terrace. Seeing Hikawa Maru, the tower, and Bay Bridge right in front of me was truly moving. I also slept very well. In older hotels it can be hard to fine-tune the air conditioning and you end up feeling too cold, but here I could adjust it precisely—very comfortable. For breakfast at Anchor Grill on the first floor, I had Eggs Benedict with half bacon and half salmon—great value since I could enjoy two flavors. Of course it tasted excellent. The buffet salad featured many uncommon vegetables and everything was fresh; items like pumpkin soup and a small cocotte-style stew were each refined in flavor. I also loved having house-made honey and orange marmalade—and even Échiré butter—so I ended up eating far too much bread. After a morning walk around Yamashita Park, I found myself gazing at the sea from my Room while drinking coffee from the Nespresso machine—it felt so comfortable that I wanted to take a nap. So I paid for late check-out to extend my stay. That’s how relaxing it was. The staff were mostly young and pleasant; different from traditional long-established hotel service like next door at New Grand Hotel, but their fresh hospitality felt approachable in a good way. At this price range—including how new everything is—I think it’s an excellent deal. I’d love to stay again.

    I’d love to stay here again!

    I had been interested in this Hotel for some time, and this time I made a Reservation using a limited-time Diamond benefit. I was happy to receive a gift and be shown to an upper-floor Room. As expected, the views from the Room and from the front desk were outstanding, and it was a wonderful Hotel where I could truly relax. I also booked because I wanted to have eggs Benedict again after a long time, and I had checked that it was available at breakfast here—so I was really looking forward to it. It was delicious, just as I hoped: healthy and refined. My husband chose the French toast, and when I tried it, it wasn’t overly sweet—just the right amount of sweetness for adults—and very tasty. There was just one thing that concerned us both: the shower water-flow adjustment lever handle in the bathroom felt too shallow and slippery, making it difficult to turn. If this could be improved to make it easier to grip and turn, the bath would be even more comfortable. I would love to stay again.

    It feels like a brand-new Hotel.

    It was a new and clean Hotel, and the staff were all quite young. It’s a small property and feels like a modern Hotel overall. Good points - There is a walk-in closet - There are two sinks - The view from the Room was excellent: Yamashita Park, Hikawa Maru, Rainbow Bridge, and Minato Mirai - Amenities were MIKIMOTO Cosmetics - You can check out by phone from the Room Breakfast felt a bit limited in variety, but it was stylish and tasted good. Since there are many places to visit in Yokohama, it was more than enough for us. The staff worked very hard, and we never had an unpleasant experience. Thank you.

    A reliably great Hotel in the Yokohama Bay Area.

    I’ve stayed here several times already, and this time I stayed in the Gate Twin Room. It’s a guaranteed great location: close to the station, close to sightseeing spots, plenty of restaurants nearby, and an amazing view. The Room feels like a combination of the Luxe and other Rooms, and it’s very spacious. Unlike the Luxe where the Minato Mirai view was over the beds, you can fully enjoy the Minato Mirai view here. There were fireworks this time, so I enjoyed them from the Room. Also, the drinks in the refrigerator were free. It was crowded at check-in, but I saw staff discussing something at the counter and they let me check in before others—just what you’d expect from a top-tier guest room. However, paid late checkout—which is often available—was not possible because there would be guests using it the next day. To be honest, I’m satisfied with the Luxe as well, but if I find a good Plan, staying in the Gate Twin is definitely a great option too. I’ll be back again.

    A Comfortable Hotel

    This was my second stay for a business trip, and both times were very comfortable. The bathroom has a separate washing area, so after a tiring day of work, it was great to be able to soak and relax. The location is convenient, and considering the Hotel’s grade, I felt it was good value for the price. I would like to stay here again in the future.

    A stay that lingers in all five senses

    Although my stay was over a week ago, I can still clearly remember the flavors of the breakfast and dinner and how pleasant the night breeze felt on the rooftop terrace. I made a Reservation out of curiosity after discovering a new Hotel in Yokohama. Normally, when staying in the city I prefer to enjoy local cuisine, so I don’t add dinner—but since breakfast at the same Hotel in Ginza was excellent, I booked a Plan with both breakfast and dinner. That turned out to be absolutely right: the portions were more generous than expected, and above all, the free-flow offering was outstanding. Thanks to a tasteful sommelier, I truly enjoyed the pairings. I’m grateful even when free-flow is simply poured from bottles, but the California red wine I encountered that day had a complex, deep character—something I’ve never seen on the market. I was told the lineup changes daily, so I’d love to return again and try my luck. From the time of Reservation, this Hotel also responded carefully to my questions about Room views and natural light, which gave me confidence in their service. Fortunately, my assigned Room was on a high floor with an ocean view as well—it made for an exceptional vacation. One small suggestion: when leaving the restaurant at night, I was asked to settle the bill. Although I explained that it was included in my meal Plan, it left me uneasy about whether it was really okay to leave (and sobered me up). It would be appreciated if you could provide a voucher or coupon slip in such cases.

    Wonderful

    I had a live show and stayed in Yokohama for the first time in a while instead of central Tokyo. The room was clean and spacious, with a separate bath and toilet, and there was plenty of space throughout the guest room, so I could truly enjoy my Hotel stay. Breakfast was delicious, and even after eating well and taking a walk around the park right in front or exploring Chinatown, an 11:00 check-out was no problem. This is a Hotel that made me want to come back to Yokohama again.

    A great Hotel where you can experience Yokohama’s unique atmosphere.

    I had work in Yokohama in the evening and thought I’d stay at a Business Hotel for a change to enjoy a little getaway, so I booked this great-value Plan. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station and right in front of Yamashita Park—an ideal Yokohama location. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and I had a very comfortable stay. Due to the Plan, it wasn’t an ocean-view Room directly facing the water, but I could still see the neighboring classic Hotel and glimpses of the sea beyond the park from the side window, which added to the travel feel. The views from both the front desk and restaurant were also wonderful, and I’d love to return properly next time. With IKYU perks as well, my stay was truly pleasant. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    As this is a new Hot...

    As this is a new Hotel, the Room was comfortable. However, it was disappointing that we couldn’t open the window curtains because the adjacent Hotel New Grand overlooks it. The checkout process was efficient and completely stress-free, which was excellent.

    Excellent views near Chinatown and Hikawa Maru

    The location is excellent—conveniently close to Chinatown and the Hikawa Maru. The view from the Room we stayed in was also wonderful, with a direct view of the sea. All of the staff were very kind and attentive. In particular, when I accidentally spilled orange juice at breakfast, a staff member noticed right away and promptly cleaned it up. Breakfast doesn’t have a wide variety of options, but everything tasted great. That said, the signature curry rice had a slightly Thai-style flavor; while it was good, I personally would have been even happier if it were more of a Yokohama-style local specialty.

    Low price with a catch

    It reminded me of my days as a frequent business traveler. I used to look for affordable Accommodation and spend more on food and drinks.\nBut back then, it wasn’t a Hotel in such a great location.\nStill, there was a catch: in the morning and evening, the smell from the restaurant’s cooking mixed into the Room’s air conditioning, which was very unpleasant (like exhaust odors outside an izakaya).\nOverall, the Hotel staff were good.

    We were extremely satisfied.

    The Room was clean and spacious, and even with a king bed we had plenty of space. Since we were traveling with our 2-year-old child, they provided a bed guard, which made our stay feel safe and comfortable. We had dinner at the first-floor restaurant, and the food was excellent. They also accommodated extra orders outside the course menu, such as fries (our child has allergies and has limited options), which was very helpful. Breakfast was a buffet on the first floor as well, with many delicious dishes—it was fun deciding what to choose. The staff there were very kind, and we truly appreciated it. This Hotel is one we would definitely like to visit again.

    We had a wonderful stay, and everyone was satisfied.

    The lounge, rooftop bar, Room, and breakfast—I enjoyed everything and had a truly satisfying stay. From the Room, I had a panoramic view of the harbor, Hikawa Maru, and the Bay Bridge. Below was the greenery of Yamashita Park—so refreshing. The night views were wonderful from both the rooftop and the bar lounge. Breakfast was delicious across the board; you can choose a main dish, and everything was excellent. The French toast was outstanding, served with bacon and sausage—absolutely delicious. The wide variety of fresh salads was great, and both the salads and soups were tasty and beautifully presented—I was very satisfied. I forgot my face wash and asked about amenities, and they provided it for me as well, which I really appreciated. There is no Onsen, so I rated the bath category three stars; however, the bath and shower were clean, easy to use, comfortable, and felt great. The sense of cleanliness was exceptional. I also love The Gate Hotel in Hibiya, but this Yokohama stay was excellent too.

    Yokohama is the only choice.

    I’ve stayed at many Hotels in Yokohama, from top-tier to business, and among them all, this one is currently the best. At last, I’ve found my go-to Hotel in Yokohama. I’d love to stay again.

    We were extremely satisfied.

    We stayed to celebrate a family birthday. The view from the window was amazing, and our whole family was thrilled from the moment we entered the Room. The view from the 12th-floor front desk was also wonderful, and the night scenery was truly beautiful. The drinks we enjoyed in the lounge while watching the night view, as part of the Diamond member benefits, became one of the best gifts for our family birthday celebration. The Room had two sinks, and the bathroom had a washing area, which made it easy for me to bathe together with my elderly mother—something we really appreciated. The staff were very kind, and breakfast was delicious; it was a thoroughly satisfying stay. Chinatown is very close by, and we also walked around nearby spots such as Hotel New Grand next door, Yamashita Park, and Honmoku. However, because of the heat, we often returned to the Hotel to rest soon after. Everyone kept saying during our stay that we would like to come back and stay at this Hotel again in a season other than summer. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    I was surprised!

    I’d only ever walked past thinking, “A stylish new Hotel has opened,” but when I happened to check IKYU and found a great deal, I made a spur-of-the-moment Reservation. I was surprised by how spacious the Room was—separate toilet, of course, plus a full bathroom, tasteful amenities and vanity area, and even a Nespresso machine. The open rooftop space was also beyond what I’d imagined. I was truly impressed by everything. I’ll definitely stay again. It also made me want to try the breakfast and afternoon tea! Thank you very much!!

    The perfect location to fully enjoy Yokohama.

    Arrive at Yamashita Park by Sea Bus from Yokohama Station, and the Hotel is right in front of you. We relaxed in the lounge and on the rooftop terrace, and enjoyed watching the boats from our Room—truly soaking up a vacation mood in Yokohama. With a refined interior and an impeccably clean Room, attentive yet friendly service, and Diamond benefits included, it was an outstanding stay that surpassed even our last visit. We would love to return again for a refreshing getaway.

    Wonderful!

    We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Everything was simply wonderful. The Room had a beautiful night view, and the Hotel was calm and relaxing. The location was great, and we were able to unwind. Having the bathroom and toilet separate was exactly what we wanted, and it really helped. My husband was very happy, and we were able to have the best celebration. We would love to stay again.

    For my daughter’s birthday...

    This was my first stay, and it was extremely disappointing. I understand that I made a Reservation under an “assigned at the Accommodation’s discretion” Plan. Because it was my child’s 4th birthday, I asked a young female front desk staff member whether an upgrade might be possible—if not, that would be fine. She looked at the screen in silence, kept me waiting for about 10 minutes, then handed me a paper bag. Inside were bath towels and a children’s toothbrush (an adult type). She repeatedly told me that because it was an “assigned at the Accommodation’s discretion” Plan, requests could not be accepted. I understood that; it was simply a request. Her approach lacked flexibility and consideration in how she communicated with guests. Why should I pay 30,000 yen and have to do something like housekeeping myself? I have stayed at other Hotels in the same group, but this was the first time I experienced anything like this. There was no “happy birthday,” no smile—even when she handed me a printed birthday card with an arrogant attitude. This feels like poor training, or a lack of care for guests; either way, she does not represent what this Hotel should be. What should have been a special birthday left us feeling very sad. I will never stay here again—though to be fair, the restaurant staff provided excellent service.

    This is a wonderful Hotel.

    It was a wonderful Hotel in a very convenient location for sightseeing, right across from Yamashita Park, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. The front desk lounge is on the 12th floor, and I was amazed by the great view. There were many international guests and it was a bit crowded at check-in, but we were able to relax while waiting in the scenic lounge. The staff were efficient and everything went smoothly, which left a very positive impression. The view seems to vary depending on the Room, but the Room itself was clean, with well-stocked amenities that made it very easy to use. Having bathrobes was also extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent—I loved being able to choose a main dish from three options, and even take honey directly from the honeycomb myself; it was truly exciting. The sunlight streaming in felt wonderful as well, making for a memorable breakfast experience. With courteous, hospitable service, thoughtfully designed guest Rooms that are easy to use, and delicious food throughout, everything was impeccable. It’s an outstanding Hotel I would definitely like to return to.

    It is a clean Hotel.

    As it’s still a fairly new Hotel, the Facilities were clean and I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast area on the first floor was a bit small, and I felt the tables were too close to each other. Other than that, I think it’s a Hotel with very good value for money.

    Absolutely wonderful, and in a long, detailed description.

    I stayed in an Essential Double in mid-July. The location is about a 4-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station. It’s right in front of Yamashita Park, and Chinatown is also close by. There are supermarkets and convenience stores within a few minutes’ walk as well. It’s a new Hotel, and everything inside is spotless. The front desk is on the 12th floor, with large windows overlooking Yamashita Park and the sea—you can also see the Hikawa Maru. Since it isn’t an ultra-high-rise, it actually has a nicer atmosphere. The front desk staff were outstanding; their smiles and polite manner were impressive and made me feel welcome from the start. The corridors have a chic design, and I was impressed by how well the air conditioning worked—cool without any draft or unpleasant odors. The Room was very spacious and clean. The fixtures use consistent wood tones throughout, which feels very comfortable. Having the bath and toilet separated with a washing area is extremely convenient. The bathtub is large enough to fully stretch out in. Amenities are all provided and feel high-end. Soundproofing also seemed good; I could hardly hear noise from neighboring Rooms. If I had to mention minor points: there didn’t seem to be a clock, the shower controls were positioned high, the sink was high, there was no power outlet at the table, and the TV was near the corner of the Room so it was slightly hard to watch. I understand this may be due to an internationally oriented design, but I found the height of the shower controls unexpectedly noticeable. With this Room type you can see part of Yamashita Park, but across one road there’s another Hotel directly facing you; at night it can be difficult to keep the curtains open (this is clearly stated in the Room description). Breakfast can be enjoyed at two locations within the Hotel with different menus; both looked great and were delicious. Overall, it felt like a very solid concept built with strong attention to brand quality. With its newness, location, service, spaciousness and comfort of Rooms, dining options—and pricing—it’s an excellent Hotel all around. Highly recommended not only for staying near Chinatown but also for those who want a relaxed stay near Minato Mirai as well.

    It was comfortable.

    The Room was spacious, easy to use, and very comfortable. The sofa and table were great, and the view outside was wonderful—we could even see a cruise ship that day. Chinatown was nearby, so we went there for both lunch and dinner. We had breakfast on the Hotel’s first floor, and it was a very delicious morning meal. It was a very cozy Hotel. I would recommend this Hotel.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    Located right in front of Yamashita Park, it seems convenient for a walk (though it was too hot on the day we stayed...). Only guests could go up to the Hotel rooftop to enjoy the night view and the sea. It was a wonderfully relaxing time. We had dinner at the restaurant. We ordered à la carte, and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant staff were also very kind and explained everything carefully. If I visit Yokohama again, I would like to stay here again.

    Overall satisfied, but…

    The view from the Room was amazing, and the Room was spacious and very nice, but… I noticed an odor. I’m not sure if it’s due to the Hotel’s air conditioning or ventilation system, but sometimes the smell of cooked food drifts into the Room—like fried oil or freshly baked bread. It really bothered me. Once I started noticing it, it just smelled bad to me… If there were a pleasant aroma in the Room, it would be perfect. Since other Reviews don’t mention this, I’m sorry if it was just my sense of smell.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    It’s not a luxury Hotel, but it is compact, clean, and comfortable to stay in. I also had breakfast at the first-floor restaurant. You can choose from three Plans, and each one is unique and very delicious. I haven’t seen this style of breakfast offered at other Hotels.
