    We had a relaxing stay.

    The Room I had wanted to stay in for a long time was just as wonderful as I expected. This meal menu was very good!! If I may be picky, since there is plenty of hot pot, I personally think thinly sliced pork would be easier to eat. I was able to relax again this time. I will visit again.

    This is a wonderful Ryokan.

    This is my favorite Accommodation in Yufuin in every aspect, including the Room and the meals. The staff were highly professional, and I was very satisfied. The bar at night was also wonderful, with a refined adult atmosphere. I would love to visit again.

    The Ultimate Relaxing Accommodation

    The serenity and healing atmosphere of the location. Exquisite ingredients and dishes crafted with the chef’s passion, beautifully presented on lovely tableware. The Onsen water quality is also outstanding. The furnishings are selected with truly top-tier discernment. I’m glad to have found an Accommodation I want to return to for every special occasion.

    The Best Stay

    We stayed in the Room called “Akatsuki.” It was a spacious, beautifully designed Room, and we absolutely loved it. The hospitality was outstanding—they understood our requests perfectly, making our stay truly comfortable. By the way, they provided a highly rated Panasonic hair dryer, which felt so good to use that I bought the same one as soon as I got home from the trip. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious—if it were closer, we would visit again and again; that’s how strongly both my spouse and I felt. We’ve stayed at many famous Ryokan, but this was top-tier! It was incredibly relaxing. Thank you very much.

    An Accommodation You’ll Want to Visit Again

    This is an Accommodation we were completely satisfied with—Room, meals, and service—and would love to visit again. Because the grounds are so vast, we hardly encountered other guests and were able to enjoy a relaxing, luxurious time. I had been hoping to stay in the Kumi Room, so I was delighted to finally do so. We enjoyed a wonderful meal in the Room and fully enjoyed the bath as well. We visited Ten’s Bar twice—after dinner and again in the morning. Having a drink by the glow of the fireplace at night was lovely, but the apple juice I ordered in the morning was so delicious I wanted a refill. I had mentioned that this was a birthday trip for my husband, and we received a celebratory gift from the Accommodation, which made him very happy. We had been caught up in busy days with little breathing room, but your attentive service truly soothed us. Thank you.

    For the first time in 30 years

    This was one of the Accommodations I had wanted to visit. I booked a Multiple Night Stay to relax, but the sofa was too soft and looked worn out, so I was worried—and by the second day it started hurting my lower back. I was really looking forward to the meals. We also cook rice in a clay pot at home, so I thought it was excellent, but it was disappointing that the same ingredients were used two days in a row. The breakfast in particular didn’t feel homemade at all, and it didn’t come across as heartfelt cooking.

    Stayed to celebrate retirement and a milestone birthday. Had a fulfilling time in many ways. The thoughtful attention for this special day was truly appreciated... A luxurious experience I would love to enjoy again.

    An accommodation with a sense of dedication

    This accommodation was uniquely different in a good way compared to other ryokans I have stayed at. The facility, which is a relocated traditional house from Niigata, had a retro atmosphere that blended beautifully with its stylish interior. The staff's hospitality was exceptional and felt top-level even among the luxury accommodations I have experienced before. After dinner, I moved to the bar to enjoy cocktails and other drinks, which were impressively authentic and surprisingly offered at very reasonable prices.

    I was amazed by the excellence.

    We visited in early November when the autumn leaves of Mount Yufu had just started to change. The room, "Akatsuki," was very lovely and relaxing. From the bath, we enjoyed a beautiful view of the garden's autumn foliage while soaking leisurely. Meals were served in the room, featuring an abundance of Oita's local ingredients that delighted both our eyes and taste buds, leaving us completely satisfied. Breakfast was served in a private restaurant room, which was also beautifully designed and provided a quiet dining experience. Everything about our stay was wonderful, making it an incredibly satisfying accommodation experience. We also enjoyed strolling around Yufuin Artegio and galleries nearby. We definitely hope to visit again soon!

    It was a wonderful day.

    I love traveling and have stayed at various famous Ryokans, but Muryotou was truly one of the best. The staff provided excellent hospitality, and the person who took care of us during dinner showed exceptional attentiveness. My wife said it was the best Ryokan she has ever stayed at. Our daughter was also well taken care of. Thank you so much for everything. We look forward to staying with you again.

    The Best Experience

    Stayed in the Akatsuki Room. Thoroughly enjoyed the innovative and luxurious Japanese-modern space designed by architect Shinichiro Ogata. The attentive service, based on past accommodation records, and the exquisite spring-themed Japanese cuisine were truly impressive. It may sound cliché, but it was an exceptional experience. While photos of the room have been widely featured in magazines, I am sharing a picture of the moon veiled by rain clouds and cherry blossoms taken within the villa. I hope it conveys the serene atmosphere of the villa.

    With my two daughters. Next time, I want to stay with my husband and the three of us.

    We enjoyed a one-night stay with my two daughters, who have been enjoying university life for five years, in Beppu. In the common room (is that what it's called?), we played Othello. The interaction with my daughters while playing Othello became a precious moment in our lives. I believe that the warmth of the space and people at Sansou Murata (Sansou Muryoutou) created that special moment. The people, the environment, and the time—all contributed to a satisfying stay.     It was indeed a wonderful Stays.

    I visited with my son. The property is designed like a luxury villa with natural onsen scattered in a nature-rich area. As expected of a renowned ryokan, there was no stiff formality, and the service and meals were excellent. The warmth of everyone was conveyed, and we felt very at ease.
