    - The morning buffet was delicious, and we could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. - We made a Reservation for a child-focused Hotel Room, but bathing was difficult with a unit bath even though we had a 0-year-old baby. - We had two children at dinner, but it was too expensive, so we had no choice but to eat out. We wanted to dine at the Hotel like we did for breakfast. - There were no amenities such as razors or hairbands in the Room, which was inconvenient. - Since it is Hoshino Resorts, I understand that the cafe and lounge prices are high, but there were no snack options for children other than convenience-store items, which was disappointing.

    We stayed for one ni...

    We stayed for one night and two days as a family. Atelier: It was an exciting space where we could freely use various materials, including some we encountered for the first time. It’s perfect for children who enjoy crafting, though it might feel a bit lacking for those who prefer more active play. Our child enjoyed the one-hour program. The staff provided support during activities, but there seemed to be differences in their level of engagement with children (some made eye contact and responded warmly, while others passed by without expression). Guest Room: Being able to take off our shoes inside was convenient. We didn’t use the water dispenser as it felt inconvenient. Service (Hotel Response): After reading other reviews, I felt a bit anxious but did not experience any discomfort during our stay. However, when I requested bed guards via email beforehand, I didn’t receive a clear answer on whether they would be available or not—only that "as these are limited items, availability may depend on the situation." This left me unsure if prior reservation was possible until the day of check-in (fortunately, they were installed successfully).

    The value for money was absolutely excellent!

    Stayed here for easy access to the Osaka Expo by taxi, as it is located close to the venue. The room was spacious and stylishly designed! I would have been satisfied even if it cost twice as much, haha. The amenities and facilities for children were well-equipped, making it a great choice for families!

    The worst experience in Risonare's history.

    I visited expecting "Risonare," but it was truly disappointing. The front desk service was not very welcoming. Breakfast was Hawaiian-themed, the same every day, with limited options. When I had dinner at the same restaurant, despite it being a buffet, soft drinks were not included in the price (this was a first for me!). Since I used the hotel during Expo, I tried to leave my luggage before heading out but was charged a storage fee of 1,000 yen per item. This is the first time I've ever been charged for luggage storage at any hotel worldwide. Since my belongings were divided into three items (one being an eco-bag), I ended up paying 3,000 yen—unbelievable! The atelier facility was good and deserves credit; however, everything else about this Hotel was truly disappointing. It tarnishes the reputation of all Risonare properties and doesn't live up to its name at all.

    Perfect for children!

    As a Hotel, it is a fairly standard city hotel. However, for children who spent their time at the atelier while it was open, it seemed to be an incredibly enjoyable experience. They even said they didn’t want to leave.

    Atelier Note is very satisfying & the Hotel is not worth the price.

    I chose this Hotel for the Expo and to see the Atelier Note. The Atelier Art was very enjoyable for children, but having previously stayed at OMO7, I had high expectations when staying at Risonare Osaka. However, the Facility felt outdated, and even with the lights on, the bathroom was dimly lit. The Room was spacious enough, but it lacked a sense of luxury. It felt like an ordinary Hotel where children could doodle freely. The difference between what I saw on Instagram by influencers and reality was quite stark. That said, the Atelier-style time with the Atelier Note greatly expanded my child's curiosity and was very impressive. However, there were limited Reservation slots available. I thought it would be wonderful if this Atelier Note could become an independent Facility available across The Whole Country to delight families raising children. It offered a great amount of natural materials that children usually don't get to touch freely.

    Two stations away from the Expo site

    The facility offers free parking, and the nearest station is on the route to the Expo venue, which helped me decide on a stay in June. The hotel's driveway sign was hard to spot while driving, so I ended up circling twice. It was my first time experiencing two accommodations in one building! At night, I enjoyed a great view of Osaka's bay area from a window-side seat. There were available parking spaces for use as well. The room had a large and convenient mirror. Even if there's nothing around, it's comfortable enough for an overnight stay.

    Expo

    I reserved a nearby hotel to fully enjoy the Expo until the end. Leaving my car at the hotel, I found it convenient as the train station was close by, with trains arriving every 3 minutes, allowing smooth access to the East Gate. On my way back, there was a convenience store nearby where I could grab some food before heading to my room—truly a convenient hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Expo. This time, I opted for no meals included in my reservation, but during my previous stay with meals included, they were delicious. I have already completed the reservation for next month’s visit to the Expo and look forward to staying again!

    Hoshino Resorts Riso...

    Hoshino Resorts Risonare Osaka and Grand Princess Hotel Osaka Bay are connected, but it was difficult to distinguish where Risonare ends and Princess begins. It would be nice if this were clearer. We stayed at Risonare with my daughter's family, using two Rooms. The children had bed rails provided, so they could sleep safely without falling out of bed. Upon entering the Room, we found a child-sized toilet seat, step stool, children's body soap, and even a whiteboard for drawing—perfect for the kids to enjoy themselves. The environment was very child-friendly and well-prepared for families with young children. On the top floor, there is an atelier where kids can engage in unique activities they don't usually experience; they had a great time there as well. I think this is an excellent Hotel for families with small children.

    Guest Rooms

    The bed and pillows were too soft, which caused back pain. In winter, the cold air from the windows was too chilly. If promoting as family-friendly, it might be better not to separate the bathtub and shower. However, we really enjoyed the atelier on the top floor! That said, it seems most enjoyable for children up to around 3 years old.

    There was no sense of the Hoshino Resorts brand.

    I stayed with the hope of enjoying Hoshino Resort with my child, as it is operated by Hoshino Resort, but surprisingly, there was zero Hoshino Resort feel. The atelier was enjoyable for the child, but for us adults, it wasn't something we'd repeat. The atelier space is very lovely, but it's content that can be fully enjoyed only by preschool children. There was no mineral water in the room, and the system of drinking water from the water server in the hotel hallway was very uncomfortable. (We bought mineral water at a convenience store near the hotel.) Breakfast was at the venue inside the Prince Hotel, so it was the same as for Prince Hotel guests. The quality was about the same as breakfast at a slightly better business hotel. Those who have experienced staying at Hoshino Resort would be very disappointed.

    Family Trip

    The children were very satisfied. Especially, the atelier room was safe and clean enough for them to play alone, which was wonderful. From an adult's perspective, there were some signs of aging in the Facility, and I thought there might be an issue with cleanliness.

    The prices have increased and the quality of service has declined.

    Compared to the previous Hyatt Regency, the prices have increased and the quality of service has decreased. I had questions for the Hotel and called several times, but no one answered. I became anxious, not knowing if they were operating. Overall, it seems that the focus is more on increasing profits than on improving service. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting again.

    It was not Hoshino Resort Risonare.

    I was looking forward to visiting because it's a Hoshino Resort, but it felt more like a Prince Hotel! I don't think it's very enjoyable unless you're staying with children. The lounge hours are short, and the bar is only open on weekends. The nearby restaurants are too rundown, so it's better to eat in a major city before checking in. The rates are cheap, so you might think it's okay, but if you go expecting a Hoshino Resort experience, you'll end up feeling disappointed in various ways.
