The finest Accommodation for complete relaxation of both body and mind
Because the Reviews were highly rated, I had wanted to visit for a long time. When I actually stayed, it was exactly as the Reviews said, and I felt truly relaxed. The iron-rich Onsen was wonderful, and the Room was very clean; throughout the property I could also sense the owner’s thoughtful touches, which made my stay extremely comfortable. I also appreciated the staff’s respectful sense of distance—it really helped someone like me who tends to get nervous. The meals were outstanding; I’ve never had fish this fresh before, and the meat was also incredibly delicious—I was genuinely impressed! Breakfast was comforting and delicious as well, and I enjoyed a wonderful time right up to the very end. It was a lovely one-night, two-day stay. Thank you very much. I will definitely come again!

See you again someday.
We visited on a last-minute trip to Kagoshima. In a word, everything was wonderful!! In the Room, there were plenty of warm layers and blankets to help with the cold, and since the sea is right in front of you, marine shoes were also provided. For meals, we could choose between dining at the restaurant or having dinner served in our Room after we arrived. If there’s one thing that might be a matter of preference, it would be that the Onsen is quite unique, so opinions may vary. At dinner, we received a lovely surprise for our family anniversary—thank you so much! All of the dishes were delicious. Since we stayed on a Saturday, it was disappointing that breakfast didn’t include kibinago sashimi. Instead, they prepared a special soup for us. It was such a luxurious bowl—I felt incredibly lucky. Because it was a cold day, they gave us plenty of hand warmers. Even so, all the staff came out and waved until our car was out of sight. Thank you for all the comfort and relaxation from arrival to departure. Next time, I’d love to visit in a warmer season.

The best of both glamping and Accommodation
The oceanfront location is wonderful, and the lovely mother and daughter who run the Accommodation are truly delightful. The dinner they served—homemade mullet roe, fish, and meat—was absolutely delicious! We were especially satisfied with the thoughtful care and great taste of the dishes generously prepared with the spiny lobster we had requested. Breakfast was also excellent, with freshly caught silver-stripe round herring served as sashimi and grilled. Thank you for a wonderful time. We’ll be back!

Accommodation where you can indulge in the luxury of doing nothing.
The ocean stretches out before your eyes, allowing you to fully enjoy the luxury of doing nothing while listening to the sound of the waves. The Room and amenities were perfectly balanced, reflecting the owner's excellent taste. The meals were delicious, with freshly caught silver-stripe round herring in the morning leaving a particularly strong impression—even I, who am not usually fond of fish, finished it all. What felt like an unprecedented luxury was being able to enjoy meals in pajamas instead of yukata in the Room. We are already talking about planning our next trip with VILLA Hikaruze as our main destination. Next time, we would love to have a Multiple Night Stay and try sea kayaking!

An extraordinary space
It was our first trip as a couple after finishing the busy days of raising children, and we chose to stay at Hikaruze for some relaxation. The heartfelt hospitality and the surprise flower gift on my birthday made it truly special! Thanks to everyone’s kindness, we had an amazing time. The food was excellent, the views were stunning, and the staff were wonderful. Thank you so much!

Create time for yourself.
I had the opportunity to spend some time alone near the sea. The weather was great, and although it was still quite hot outside, I managed to read books, reflect on various things, and clear my mind. It was incredibly relaxing. Upon arrival, I received a warm and detailed introduction to the Room. There was a spacious bath on the second floor where I could enjoy a soak while gazing at the sea—truly relaxing! On the first floor, there was a table and a small kitchen with easy access to both the garden and the beach, which was fantastic. The inclusion of two bottles of beer, two bottles of water, and two bottles of sparkling water in the fridge as part of the price added an extra touch of convenience. For dinner at night, while outdoor seating was available at the restaurant, I chose indoor dining due to lingering heat outside. Every dish served was delicious; especially memorable were the sashimi dishes that were exceptionally fresh and flavorful! The food paired perfectly with drinks—I enjoyed local Akune shochu served in Satsuma Kiriko glassware—it couldn’t have been better! To top it off perfectly timed fireworks from nearby created unforgettable memories during dinner. After returning back later that evening—the staff prepared an outdoor bonfire for me; sitting under stunning starry skies listening waves crashing ashore sipping beer by fire made this night truly magical! In morning breakfast delivered directly into Room allowed peaceful meal experience opening wide windows overlooking ocean view felt luxurious beyond words again everything tasted amazing freshly caught kibinago fish eaten raw dipped miso-vinegar grilled over charcoal grill epitomized indulgence savoring every bite thoroughly appreciated such thoughtful preparation. Post-meal leisurely pace extended until noon checkout provided ample relaxation soaking baths once more before departure fully embracing solo luxury retreat experience wholeheartedly looking forward next visit soon again someday surely!

It was a very lovely accommodation. The meals were delicious, and dinner was a special experience while watching the sunset. The staff were warm and welcoming, allowing us to relax and unwind. I was deeply comforted by the power and thoughtfulness of Hikari Reef.
We stayed as a couple for the first time at this accommodation. The room offered a warm and welcoming atmosphere with comfortable flooring even for bare feet, cozy bedding, fluffy towels, and thoughtfully selected amenities that reflected hospitality in every detail. While soaking in the bath, we enjoyed a breathtaking view of the sea and sky stretching across the window, along with the serene sight of Hikaru Reef, known as a power spot—a truly memorable experience. At night, we savored delicious meals and drinks crafted with care. A bonfire was also prepared just outside our room... In the morning, freshly caught kibinago fish was served to us—each thoughtful gesture filled our hearts with gratitude. This special stay left us feeling deeply relaxed and ready to face tomorrow with renewed energy. For those seeking peace or looking to unwind at their own pace, I highly recommend visiting Hikaruze in Akune!

Completely satisfied with everything.
A location that feels like a different world, unlike anything you'd expect in Akune. Remnants of the earth's creation from 200 million years ago, with rugged rock formations that make you feel connected to the planet. The beach is covered entirely with smooth round stones. The Onsen features a rich brown iron-infused spring water, matching the rocky terrain. Relax to the soothing sound of waves, enjoy breathtaking views from the restaurant, and unwind with Hikaruze's original BGM while savoring meals made with plenty of local ingredients. The A5-grade Japanese Black Wagyu sirloin is rated 12 out of 12 on quality—its refined sweetness will leave you speechless as you indulge in its flavor. The interior design reflects meticulous attention to detail and showcases the refined taste of the owner couple. From location to Onsen, dining to accommodations—everything exceeds expectations for ultimate satisfaction. You'll want to return again for another rejuvenating experience!

Thank you for the wonderful time.
I wanted to make my father and mother happy, so I booked this accommodation, and it truly became an unforgettable memory. The staff welcomed us with wonderful smiles, and everything from the food to the scenery and the onsen was perfect. The unexpected surprise was incredibly moving for me as a musician, and my parents, who supported my music journey, were overjoyed saying they would never have such an experience again. With our busy daily lives leaving no time to rest, we had been looking forward to this stay ever since completing the reservation. I myself felt completely rejuvenated. Thank you so much!

Do nothing... Immerse yourself in the sound of the waves.
A maisonette villa accommodation nestled in a quiet cove of a small port town. The second-floor bedroom features a spacious stone-built Onsen with large windows offering breathtaking ocean views, providing true relaxation. Meals are served in the first-floor dining area, where you can savor freshly caught local seafood and mountain delicacies. Dinner includes exquisite bottarga, charcoal-grilled black wagyu beef, fresh horse mackerel and sea urchin from nearby waters, and Ise lobster served as sashimi followed by miso soup. Breakfast delights include freshly squeezed juice, freshly made tofu, and glistening fresh silver-stripe round herring sashimi and salt-grilled fish that were truly impressive. After meals, you can relax in the garden in front of your room by enjoying a bonfire or simply listening to the sound of waves while lounging on hammock chairs. We deeply appreciated the thoughtful care provided by the female manager for my elderly mother. We will visit again!

The shoreline is right in front of you!
I visited to relax while enjoying the ocean view. The maisonette-type room had a spacious indoor bath on the second floor where I could soak in Onsen while gazing at the sea, and swaying on a hanging chair in the private garden was simply amazing. It was also easy to access the beach directly from the garden. The meals were all delicious, featuring luxurious local specialties like Ise lobster and sea urchin! Breakfast with an ocean view was also fantastic! This is a Hotel where you can forget about time. I loved it so much that I want to visit again soon!
