    It was an Accommodation I wanted to keep secret.

    About 30 years ago, I visited Kumihama for a day at the beach, and this time I came with my daughter, who is between jobs, after finishing caregiving for my father. The detached villa is about a 3-minute drive from the main building where breakfast and dinner are served, set along Kumihama Bay beyond a wooded path that keeps it completely private from outside view. The beautifully maintained lawn garden was stunning—like a Scandinavian holiday home. Inside, everything was spotless, and there was even a space to lie down and relax while looking out over the bay—an exceptional experience. Meals are served in private rooms in the main building, but they provide Shuttle Service by car, so there’s nothing to worry about. I was captivated by the crystal-clear flavors of the fish dishes—something you simply can’t find in the Tokyo area—and felt as if my whole body had been cleansed. Most guests seemed to be from the Kansai region, and there were no inbound travelers either. This is a truly superb hidden resort—so please don’t tell too many friends!

    Savor local flavors and breathtaking views

    This was my first stay, and everything was excellent. Having a private space was truly appreciated. The room was spacious enough, and I stayed very comfortably. The meals were outstanding—generous portions, very fresh, with great quality and creativity. I’d like to stay again in the future, so I hope you won’t lower the quality. Although I stayed during the rainy season, I could still enjoy the starry sky from the garden. The staff’s service was pleasant and attentive, and I was very satisfied. At night, because this is along a channel used by fishing boats heading from the bay out to sea, engine noise may wake you up. Whether that feels noisy or atmospheric depends on the person. (It doesn’t last long; after that it’s just the sound of the waves…very soothing.) Parking large vehicles should be fine for confident drivers, but those who aren’t used to driving may find it a bit difficult. It’s best to consult with staff in advance. The location is physically challenging. Overall, if I can get a Reservation at a time that works for me, this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    The view from the Ro...

    The view from the Room was beautiful, and the peaceful surroundings allowed for a relaxing stay. Soaking in the bath and unwinding on the outdoor deck made me feel truly happy. The clam rice served at breakfast was also delicious! The warm hospitality and attentiveness of the staff, including the young proprietress, were wonderful, making me want to visit again.

    For those seeking a quiet stay and delicious food.

    【Pros】 - Generous meal portions; most women may find it difficult to finish. - Despite the large portions, the food is delicious and satisfying. - The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. - Stunning oceanfront location with an incredible sense of openness. - Remote location ensures no crowds of foreign tourists. 【Cons】 - Bathwater is extremely hot. - Construction noise started around 7:00 AM, which was disruptive. - Access is nearly impossible without a car.

    Thank you very much. It was wonderful.

    It was a very nice place and Room where I could relax. The meals were satisfying and the hospitality was wonderful. I would like to visit again.
