    A Relaxing Hotel

    Ayanna Miyako was the Hotel I had absolutely wanted to stay at when traveling to Miyakojima. Because it’s such a wonderful Hotel, it was fully booked during Golden Week, but I joined the waitlist and managed to stay!! A few days before my stay, they called to confirm my arrival time and kindly asked if we were celebrating anything—if so, they could prepare a cake (additional fee). My stay was just before the rainy season began, and the weather was great. When I opened the Room door, there was a stylish interior leading out to the pool—and beyond that, a beautiful ocean view. Relaxing on a poolside chair with an Orion beer they had stocked in the fridge was truly the best!! I’ve stayed in Rooms with private pools before—on Okinawa’s main island, on another date in Miyakojima this trip, and even in Hakone—but personally, Ayanna Miyako is my favorite. Breakfast was beautifully set up as well, and the Eggs Benedict was outstanding! One thing to note: check-in and everything else (including breakfast reservations) were all handled via smartphone. However, they support you if you have any questions, so I think even those who aren’t comfortable with smartphones can feel at ease. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

    We hope to see improvements in the check-in process and service.

    The Room was just as we expected and very lovely, and you put a lot of thought into dinner as well. Although it rained, we ended up having a truly wonderful time. Thank you very much. However, we were disappointed with the following two points and would like to see improvements: - Even after the check-in time had passed, the Room was not ready. - We were told that welcome drinks would be brought to the Room, but they never arrived, so we were unable to have them.

    We had planned to stay with you for our 10th wedding anniversary, but the day before our trip our younger child came down with influenza, so only my husband and our older child were able to stay. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Thank you very much as well for your thoughtful consideration and support regarding the situation. My husband and our older child said it was wonderful and that they would like to come again. We visit Miyakojima often, so we hope to see you again soon.

    "Like a Hotel, like a private villa"

    The in-Room pool is amazing. It’s a uniquely Miyako location with views of the Irabu Bridge. Since it was winter, the water temperature was just right (lol), and we could enjoy it like a bath. Because there are almost no public spaces, you can relax in a spacious Room. When a Hotel has lots of facilities, you tend to overdo it (lol). Next time, I want to come on a hot summer day—so I’ll work hard until then!

    We stayed for two nights because we wanted a relaxing Hotel stay on our honeymoon. The dinner was excellent, and we enjoyed that the course menu was different on the first and second nights. We went out onto the balcony and enjoyed the pool, but it was a bit disappointing that we could constantly hear the pool motor. It couldn’t be helped, but since the ocean is right in front of you, we had hoped to enjoy the sound of the waves as well. The Room had stylish interior design, was very clean, and the staff were wonderful with lovely smiles, which left a great impression. It was a splurge Hotel for us, but we’re glad we stayed—it became a great memory.

    If you’re not sure where to stay on your Miyakojima trip, this is the place!

    We stayed here for our anniversary, and it was amazing. The fluffy, ice-cold hand towel at check-in was the best! Choosing the dinner-and-breakfast plan was absolutely the right call. For dinner, unfortunately we couldn’t see the sunset due to the weather, but we enjoyed a course meal at a seaside restaurant where you can watch the sunset on clear days. We ordered wine pairing, and they kindly switched my girlfriend’s red wine to a sweet dessert wine since she doesn’t like red—she was thrilled with how good it tasted! Personally, I loved the fish dish: Miyakojima’s premium local fish had firm yet juicy white flesh and was delicious. Since it was our anniversary, they also prepared a cake for us, and we enjoyed what we couldn’t finish later in our Room! For breakfast, we upgraded to a floating breakfast. It was surprisingly filling! You can choose either brown sugar waffles or eggs Benedict, and you can also select your time slot on a first-come basis. I recommend waking up early to enjoy the floating breakfast, have fun in the pool, and relax afterward. The bathtub was spacious enough for two to soak comfortably together, and the shower water pressure was strong—great as well! All of the staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making this trip truly memorable. If I ever have another chance to visit Miyakojima again, I will definitely stay here!

    A quiet, relaxing space

    The Room was meticulously cleaned down to every detail, and we were able to stay very comfortably. The pool water was also surprisingly clean, and soaking at night while gazing up at a sky full of stars was truly blissful. The refrigerator was stocked with water, sanpin tea, and Bireley’s guava and mango juices—and we really appreciated that they were all complimentary drinks. Since there are no convenience stores nearby, this was a huge help. This time we only had breakfast and chose the Eggs Benedict; the portion size was just right, it was delicious, and we were very satisfied. If I had to mention one thing, having a Bluetooth speaker would have made it even more luxurious to relax while playing our favorite music. Overall, it was an extremely satisfying stay. We would love to visit again.

    Refresh Stay

    My partner and I stayed for two nights and three days to relax and recharge. We were lucky with the weather and were able to take in the stunning views while enjoying a slow, peaceful stay. From the moment we stepped into the entrance, the lovely scent was soothing, and the Room was spacious. The interior design really matched my taste, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Since my birthday was coming up, they surprised us with a cake, which truly moved me. It was beautifully decorated with flowers and made me very happy. We had heard that using the pool with heated water would require an additional fee, so we weren’t planning to use it, but it was free during our stay—so we enjoyed it on both days. The washer-dryer combo was very convenient, and having two sinks also made everything easy to use. We didn’t add dinner; instead we went to nearby restaurants or picked up takeout in town and ate leisurely in our Room. With a rental car, I think it’s a great location where you won’t have trouble with dining or shopping. A few minor points: soap scum from the shower amenities was a bit hard to rinse off; overall lighting in the Room felt somewhat dim and not ideal for working; and having balcony sandals for going to the pool would be even more convenient. Breakfast was gorgeous, cute-looking, and delicious, but since it’s Western-style and seems mostly similar aside from the main dish each day, longer stays might feel a bit repetitive. It would be even better if Japanese-style options were available as well. Even with those small concerns, it was truly an excellent stay. It was nicely quiet yet conveniently located for sightseeing, so we were able to fully refresh. I’d love to stay again someday.

    I would definitely like to stay here again.

    The staff’s hospitality was exceptional, making for a very comfortable stay. The Room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, giving us a wonderful escape from everyday life. With attentive service down to the smallest details, this is a Hotel we will definitely choose again when we visit Miyakojima.

    Had the best accommodation.

    We stayed for two nights during a trip with my wife. The villa was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. It became a truly wonderful memory for us. The smartphone check-in process was slightly inconvenient, and it would have been nice to provide handwritten or verbal options for breakfast selection. However, the charm of this place easily outweighs any minor inconvenience. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Spacious Room with a...

    Spacious Room with a comfortable bed allowed for a relaxing and leisurely stay. Since it was the off-season, we didn’t encounter other guests and were delighted with the Room upgrade and additional services provided. While mandatory LINE registration might be debatable, the process was handled smoothly. Is the pool heated? It felt a bit challenging in December. On a minor note, it would be nice to have a coffee scoop that measures one serving accurately. A speaker could also be a good addition! However, considering the price, it’s very reasonable overall. It’s an excellent choice for sauna enthusiasts as well. We didn’t mind not having a send-off; prior information would help ensure an enjoyable experience!

    This was my first time staying here, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The highlight was definitely the private heated pool in the villa. Being able to enjoy the pool at any time while gazing at the stunning “Miyako Blue” ocean was an absolute dream. I was also incredibly touched by their hospitality—they kindly upgraded our room, which was such a wonderful surprise. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to enjoy an even more spacious and luxurious stay. I cannot thank them enough. The breakfast was also fantastic, both in presentation and taste, making for a perfect start to the day. We barely saw the staff during our stay, which gave us a wonderful sense of privacy and seclusion. That said, the service during check-in was excellent—professional and very welcoming. We felt the high quality of their hospitality from the very first moment. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the “luxury of doing nothing.” We will definitely be back!

    Throughout my stay, I was truly happy, surrounded by the warm and thoughtful care of the staff. They also responded amazingly quickly to inquiries via LINE, and I was impressed by their attentive service. I had been told it would be light cleaning, but they carefully tidied the Room every day, and their kindness genuinely touched me. Thanks to their considerate attention to detail, I was able to stay comfortable at all times. The Room I stayed in was so wonderful that I couldn’t help but gasp the moment I opened the door, and the interior design was exactly my style. The spacious bath felt incredible, and all my travel fatigue simply melted away. The entire Room was a space where I could truly relax—a luxurious time that made it feel as if time slowed down. It was so comfortable that I kept thinking, “I want to stay longer...” This is a fantastic Hotel that I sincerely want to visit again.

    A Special Anniversary Stay Filled with Elegance

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The moment we entered the room, we were captivated by the exquisite furniture and interior design, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere that truly soothed us. To our surprise, we were upgraded to the best room as a special gesture, which left us astonished. The thoughtful gift of an anniversary cake deeply touched us, making it an unforgettable and extraordinary stay. We spent a relaxing day within the property, experiencing a true escape from everyday life. Every room offers views of the ocean or nature, allowing us to enjoy Miyako Island's tranquil scenery in luxury. The soundproofing ensured complete relaxation for both of us as a couple. The rooms were impeccably clean, with welcome sweets and Okinawan coffee and tea adding warmth to every detail. The refrigerator was stocked with various Okinawan drinks that we enjoyed after swimming or bathing—such thoughtful touches made our stay even more delightful. Above all else, every staff member was kind and attentive throughout our stay, providing reassurance and comfort at all times. Both my husband and I had such a peaceful time that we've already decided this is a hotel we'll definitely return to soon!

    The ideal Hotel you’ve finally found

    I’ve visited Miyakojima more than 30 times and have stayed at various Hotels. There are countless beautiful Accommodations, but the architect’s attention to detail and the location could only be realized in a place like this. It’s also close to Irabu Ohashi Bridge—an ideal setting. It was a well-balanced space in every respect. On a remote island where insects are common, there were hardly any here compared with other Accommodations. Thoughtful touches—like concealing the dish cabinet and TV—created a truly relaxing atmosphere. The ocean-view pool is so immersive that you feel as if you’re at the sea even without going into it. The level of satisfaction was such that everything felt complete here, and it made me want to return regularly.

    Since everything from check-in to meal arrangements is handled via LINE, it may suit younger guests, but for adults it feels lacking in terms of service quality. In the first place, there are too few staff members, which was disappointing in many ways. It felt like they tried to make it look luxurious on the surface, but without the substance to match. The food looks nice, but neither the taste nor the portions were satisfying. I was hoping for an adult vacation experience, so this was disappointing.

    Excellent

    I was quite anxious after reading the reviews, but in conclusion, it turned out to be a very pleasant stay. The room had an excellent layout, view, and facilities. The mattress on the bed suited my back pain perfectly. Having a washer-dryer in the room significantly reduced the burden of laundry after returning home. Communication with staff via LINE was surprisingly convenient, allowing us to convey breakfast preferences and discuss or book activities without any stress. Dinner was also very delicious; however, serving and explaining dishes all at once seemed a bit challenging. The seasoning felt slightly strong for me but matched my personal preference. It was a bit unsettling that hotel staff were absent at night—though we didn’t face any issues this time—the surroundings are dark and isolated at night. For my companion, it became an unforgettable stay as they were thrilled to encounter turtles while snorkeling. Overall, it was a highly satisfying experience for both of us! We look forward to visiting again next year!

    A Satisfying Stay

    This was my first stay, drawn by the interior design and the view from the pool. Although I had some concerns after reading reviews, my overall experience was absolutely wonderful! Regarding the issue of only cold water coming out of the shower mentioned in some reviews, it seems to be due to turning the nozzle in the wrong direction. The room lighting is a bit dim, making it hard to see, but if you turn the base (not just the handle) towards the red and blue marks (opposite direction of handle), hot water will come out! I visited with my child and found that the wide bed allowed for a comfortable sleep. The shallow pool was also a big hit with my child! Being a new hotel, everything was clean and well-maintained with plenty of amenities provided. The extra towels, including beach towels, were very helpful for families with children. During our 2-night stay, I noticed that even though we used half of our bath salts on day one and left them for later use, they were replenished on day two—this attention to detail made me very happy. We had both dinner and breakfast at this accommodation. The plates used during dinner were all beautiful. Although we couldn’t finish all of our kid’s plate due to its generous portion size, they kindly served different menus over two days for variety. The breakfast felt luxurious—not buffet-style but unique to villa accommodations—and having it delivered directly to our room (with time slots available every 30 minutes) was incredibly convenient. The pancakes resembled those from Bills but had their own distinct flavor—absolutely delicious! Above all else, what stood out most was how stunningly clear and beautiful the night sky looked! With no streetlights nearby as it's right by the ocean—the stars shone brilliantly above us! Having stayed at five accommodations across Miyako Island and Irabu Island before this trip—I can confidently say that AYANNA offered by far THE best stargazing experience from its rooms. Additionally being able easily access your room directly from parking makes returning after trips stress-free especially when coming back from beach outings. While I usually try different hotels each time—I loved this place so much; I'd definitely want return again someday soon!

    Satisfaction is perfect. I will only mention the points I noticed that could make things even better. It would definitely be better if the showerhead angle could be adjusted. The number of light switches in the room is a bit overwhelming and confusing. If staying for multiple nights, breakfast might feel a bit repetitive, but for a stay of about two days, it’s an excellent breakfast.

    Stay at the Villa of Your Dreams on Miyakojima

    The location was amazing—right in front of the ocean—so we could relax while swimming in the pool and looking out at the Irabu Bridge. The Room was also very spacious and lovely. However, we had some Facility issues, such as the shower only running cold water. Since there didn’t seem to be any staff on-site after 9:00 p.m., we couldn’t ask for help. We were glad we could use hot water in the bathtub, but it was still uncomfortably cold. Also, depending on how the shower head was positioned (toward the bed), it could end up soaking the bed, which made us question parts of the design and prevented us from using it with peace of mind. There were no beach towels provided either. It would have been fine if plenty of regular towels had been available, but since there was a washing machine, we managed by doing laundry and using the dryer during our stay. This villa had been a dream of ours, but it ended up being a bit disappointing.

    The location is excellent.

    The location was excellent, and having a washing machine in the Room was very convenient. However, the quality of service variedfinally among the staff. One person was extremely pleasant, but the others were unfriendly, and at checkout they only gave a casual “Thank you” with no send-off at all, which was disappointing. Also, during dinner we could hear staff from the kitchen making remarks or scolding someone? and it ruined the atmosphere. As for the food, to be honest, despite being expensive I didn’t feel the taste matched the price. I had been looking forward to dining, so it was disappointing. Since this Hotel has such a great location and Facility offerings, I think it could provide an even better stay if service and food quality were improved.

    The location is excellent.

    My first time in Miyakojima. Personally, I like it more than the main island. I definitely want to visit again within the year. Since COVID, I’ve been traveling domestically several times a year in the same price range. The location was excellent, but as other Reviews mention, there were quite a few things that made me think “so that’s true.” Compared with other places I used on this Miyakojima trip, the difference wasn’t small, which may be why it stood out even more. Not enough to complain, but I probably wouldn’t return.

    Ayanna Miyakojima... Etch it in your memories!

    The color tones of the walls, furnishings, and lighting created a calm and soothing space that I was very satisfied with! The blue sea spread out before me, and I had the best time. The dinner portions were on the smaller side, but I was able to savor the dishes while listening to their introductions, and by the end, I was full and satisfied! The next morning, enjoying a Room meal while gazing at the blue sea was delicious and perfect. I definitely want to visit again. Concerns about the hardware. Perhaps due to the designer specifications, the bathtub lacks handles, which may not be suitable for the elderly in terms of functionality. Also, I wished for some small items like plates, cutlery, and paper towels in the kitchen.

    We were able to spend our important anniversary in a wonderful place.

    About 10 days before our stay, we received a confirmation call from the hotel, and when asked about the reason for our stay, we mentioned it was for our wedding anniversary. We were delighted to receive a cute towel art and a sparkling wine gift. The room's facilities were also very well-equipped, with a microwave, washing machine, and sink, making it very convenient. The pool had a good sense of privacy with plant screens, which was nice. They also offer heating for 10,000 yen. The breakfast was just the right amount and very delicious! The brown sugar French toast was particularly exquisite. In the case of in-room dining, it usually takes time to set up on the table, but it was very smooth and took less than 3 minutes, with an explanation of the dishes, which was very satisfying. If I were to point out an area for improvement, we arrived a bit late and wanted to get to our room quickly, but the explanations during check-in felt very long. For breakfast reservations, you have to scan a QR card and do it on your smartphone, which was a bit tedious. It might be better to ask for the preferred time and menu verbally on the spot, or just hand over the QR card and say, "Please place your breakfast order by midnight."

    An elegant moment

    It was a very luxurious time. The room was spacious, and the large window directly in front of the entrance door provided a sense of openness, with an ocean view that was truly exhilarating. The interior was stylishly coordinated with chic colors, and along with the sophisticated amenities, I was able to experience an extraordinary resort lifestyle. Among them, the bathrobe was so fluffy that I wanted one for my home. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious, but personally, the French toast was unbelievably good. I didn't have dinner at the hotel as I had reservations outside, but given the quality, I'm sure it would have been exceptionally delicious. The staff's response was courteous, and they promptly attended to any issues through a phone call via LINE. In fact, when a gnat appeared in the room, they promptly delivered insect spray, which was very helpful. Overall, I was satisfied, but if I had to point out two concerns, they would be: First, the absence of staff after midnight. Although there were no issues this time, I was curious about how they would handle any late-night incidents. Second, when setting up the floating breakfast, the staff moved between the poolside and the room in their socks. This might be a personal concern, but I would prefer if they wore shoes when going outside (especially since sandals are provided for the poolside). These might seem like nitpicking comments, but on the contrary, it means I was extremely satisfied with everything else. I felt so comfortable that I wished I had spent more time at the hotel rather than going out after check-in. It was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful trip. I look forward to visiting again if I have the opportunity.
