    Premium Twin

    I stayed one night in a Premium Twin. Pros - Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. - A pool that can be used free of charge. - The size of the semi-open-air bath in the Room. - The welcome sweets were also delicious. Cons - I understand it may be unavoidable depending on the season, but I would have liked more frequent cleaning of dead insects floating in the pool. - The musty smell in the Room really bothered me. I think it was probably caused by the air conditioner, and my allergy symptoms were so bad that my runny nose wouldn’t stop. - There were a large number of stink bugs and mosquitoes in the private bath. Since it’s by the sea at night with the lights on and windows open, some of this may be unavoidable, but when I entered there were already more than 10 stink bugs between the changing area and bathing area. I couldn’t stand it and left after about 10 minutes. Isn’t it checked in advance?

    Unfortunately.

    The reception, dinner service, and guidance to the Room were all attentive and left a very good impression. The view from the Room felt a little underwhelming, but the Onsen was just right, and we had a comfortable stay. In particular, the meals were outstanding—so delicious that it’s no exaggeration to say they were rarely matched: the pastry chef’s desserts, the chef’s dinner, and breakfast as well. Wonderful. That said, precisely because everything else was so good, it was disappointing that the breakfast service fell short. The food was placed on the table without any guidance or explanation. Then, after my whole family had finished eating most of what was served, about five minutes later an appetizer arrived... Not only that—the overall atmosphere at breakfast felt (with all due respect) like an ordinary local set-meal diner. Even though the food is truly top-class, this basic aspect of service spoiled everything. I understand staffing may be difficult right now, but given how high the standard of cuisine is, it left a particularly regrettable impression. For clarity: aside from breakfast service, everyone else was excellent.

    While looking out at the ocean

    I chose this property because it’s only 1.5 hours from Tokyo and offers an Onsen with an ocean view. What impressed me most was the effect of the Onsen. I could feel it immediately—so strongly that it really hit me the moment I got in. I visit many hot springs, including Hakone, but the water here had a different kind of benefit from Hakone. Dinner was excellent, enjoyed while looking out at the sea through the window. Each dish was delicious, and the sashimi in particular was outstanding in both freshness and flavor. It also felt luxurious to have freshly grated real wasabi. I enjoyed it very much. As for breakfast, because dinner was so great, there were several disappointing points. If it were dinner alone, I would give 5 stars. As for the staff service, it felt quite relaxed—they only noticed us after our car entered the parking lot and we came through the entrance. At checkout as well, there was a major bottleneck. This likely needs to be reviewed. The Onsen benefits and dinner were wonderful.

    For my husband’s birthday...

    It was wonderful. The staff were very kind, and the meals were delicious. Above all, they thoughtfully ensure that every guest can see the ocean, so everyone can enjoy dinner while watching the sunset on equal terms. The open-air bath was also very relaxing, with gentle spring water and an open view of the sea—it felt amazing. The Room was clean and spacious, and coffee is available freely, which made my coffee-loving husband very happy. It’s a place where you can truly indulge. It reminded me that we sometimes need time like this. The welcome sweets were also excellent. Later, I found sweets from the same brand at a roadside station and was impressed again by how wonderful the service was. Thank you very much.

    A Luxurious Getaway Close to Home

    We wanted a relaxing getaway close to home (about a 1.5-hour drive), so we looked for an Accommodation in Minamiboso and made a Reservation after seeing the great reviews about the food. As this is an Accommodation run by a fishing wholesaler, the fresh sashimi was excellent, and all of the meals were delicately seasoned and delicious. (I felt bad that there was so much sashimi that I couldn’t finish it...) What impressed us even more were the desserts and the sweets prepared in our Room—they were even better than expected! The only downside was that it was extremely windy, and throughout the night we kept hearing what sounded like air bubbling out from the ventilation vent, which made it hard to fall asleep. If not for that, I would have given a higher rating. Still, we were able to relax. Thank you very much.

    Back to Rokuza after a long time

    I’m usually the type to decide on an Accommodation at the last minute, but this place is hard to book, so I made a Reservation well in advance. Dinner is very filling, so I debated it but of course adjusted my lunch. That’s how much I look forward to the food. I checked in right at 3:00 PM. They offered welcome sweets and tea— a nice surprise, though the quality was neither great nor disappointing. The first sign of sameness. This time we had a mountain-side Room. Since the food is the main attraction for us, we didn’t mind. Thanks to their thoughtful arrangement, we were able to enjoy the first soak in the open-air Onsen bath. Come to think of it, it feels like there are more seasoned staff now—perhaps tailored to an older clientele. Winter sunsets come early, so it was perfect timing. It was a very windy day, but that’s just luck. The Onsen here has a seaside mineral scent and leaves your skin silky smooth. The temperature is comfortable enough for long baths, and I ended up using the Room’s open-air bath many times as well. Depending on where this Room’s bath is located (it seems directly above the kitchen), strong grilling or frying smells can rise up at certain times. There was also what seemed like cigarette smoke from staff? If you’re not sensitive to smells, it may not bother you. On the ocean side there’s some foot traffic outside; with a mountain-side Room you don’t have that concern—just for reference. After enjoying the baths, we headed to the restaurant. The service staff welcomed us warmly, and throughout our meal the lighting, sound level, and pace of service were all very comfortable. Every dish was carefully prepared—the dashi is excellent. Seasonal touches, ingredients, and tableware are all thoughtfully curated and refined. We love eating out often as well, so these impressions are from that perspective: knowing what should be “classic” versus simply repetitive—and how well serving temperatures are controlled. The dried fish at breakfast is a classic staple here; however some other items felt slightly repetitive—making me think “this again.” They seem to promote their pastry chef as a highlight, but dessert wasn’t quite at that level. If anything, incorporating Japanese sweets while making use of color could be interesting; sometimes fruit alone might be more appreciated. It’s one of those rare Accommodations where you can travel light with just yourself and still be perfectly fine. These comments are intentionally candid for future quality improvements—but honestly I’m satisfied every time I visit. And one more thing: everyone should spend more time at night in the bar! Great drinks await you—and a unique artisan bartender too!

    Perfect score

    The cuisine is absolutely amazing, making it a definite repeat! I’ll recommend it to everyone around me! The staff provided personalized service that matched our enjoyment, and we’re truly grateful for that! The room bath was clean, and we lost count of how many times we used it—haha! It’s such an incredible accommodation that I want to recommend it but worry it might become too popular for us to make a reservation again!

    The finest rooms! Exquisite cuisine! Premium hospitality!!

    I made a reservation at this accommodation to enjoy a relaxing time. I had always wanted to stay here, but it was hard to secure a reservation... Luckily, I managed to book it this time! The room offers a breathtaking ocean view with stunning scenery right in front of you! It was such a calm and beautiful space. For dinner, we chose the course with lobster and abalone and added oysters as well! Although the menu mentioned six types of sashimi, there were about eight kinds served. From the appetizers to the rice dish at the end and even dessert, everything was absolutely delicious! Personally, I loved the corn tofu so much that I wanted seconds (haha). The private open-air bath is located on the 3rd floor and offers an amazing view of Tokyo Bay at night!! Later on, due to certain circumstances, we caused some trouble for the hotel staff and felt quite down about it. However, they kindly checked on us one after another with such thoughtful care that we were deeply moved by their hospitality. Thank you so much! This is truly an exceptional accommodation that I would love to visit again from my heart!!

    Every dish is prepar...

    Every dish is prepared with great attention to detail. You can enjoy dessert on the terrace, which is delightful. The sea is approximately 500 meters away. I fell asleep to the soothing sound of the waves.

    We enjoyed it deliciously.

    I had an enjoyable stay. However, there were many stairs—leading to the Room, at the entrance of the Room, and even inside the Room. The food was delicious, but I could clearly hear voices from next door, and when it got busy, the service felt rushed. The Hotel staff were mostly young and efficient but lacked a relaxed atmosphere. At checkout, instructions being given via wireless microphones made things feel a bit hectic. Overall, I think I had a pleasant experience; however, this time it somehow didn’t feel entirely relaxing. Looking forward to my next visit!

    Enjoyed a locally so...

    Enjoyed a locally sourced dinner. It was delicious, including not only the fish but also the vegetables. I think this is a cost-effective accommodation. I would like to stay here again.

    Highly satisfied.

    During the time when long-distance travel was difficult due to the pandemic, we visited various Onsen within the prefecture. It’s almost surprising that we didn’t have a chance to visit this accommodation back then, but this time we came here by chance and were completely satisfied. The staff's hospitality and the kaiseki cuisine were perfectly suited for us as an elderly couple. The highlight was definitely the room with a private open-air bath. Among all the accommodations we've visited so far, this one had the largest bath. Both the temperature and water quality were excellent, leaving us very satisfied. For us as a couple who love baths, this was undoubtedly the most attractive feature of this accommodation. If I may make one small request: since you have such an amazing bath in your rooms, it would be great if you could provide bathrobes in addition to room wear. Changing into room wear every time after bathing can be inconvenient when sweating frequently. We look forward to visiting again next time with our daughter!

    In conclusion, I was very satisfied. Usually, I seek relaxation in the Izu Hakone area, but choosing this highly-rated accommodation this time was the right decision. The staff were relatively young, energetic, and pleasant. The meals were thoughtfully prepared without shortcuts (not something that seemed store-bought), and my thanks go to the head chef. It was an accommodation I would like to visit again. Thank you very much. P.S.: I also enjoyed the espresso machine in the lobby and the one in the room.

    This might be the best ever.

    I have visited various Hotels and Ryokans, but this was simply amazing. I stayed in the "Zarokuza" Room, and having a private open-air Onsen in the room is truly rare. The quality of the hot spring water was excellent, and the view was breathtaking. The meals were all meticulously prepared and tasted so exquisite that I thought they could rival top-tier restaurants. At check-in, the sweets provided in the room's refrigerator and as dessert during meals were not overly sweet but incredibly authentic. Even though I usually don't eat much dessert, I ended up finishing everything effortlessly. Just one thing: during dinner, the initial dishes took quite a long time to be served, leaving no appetizers to pair with drinks at first. It would be nice if cold side dishes like those served at breakfast were prepared in advance for such situations.

    An experience beyond expectations!

    It was my first stay at this accommodation. I initially thought it might be geared towards younger guests, but it turned out to provide a wonderful experience for older guests as well. Since our room did not have a bath, we were given priority to reserve a private bath and could use it immediately upon arrival. The onsen had a slight tint and warmed my body thoroughly while I relaxed with an ocean view. In the refrigerator of the room, there was a handmade "assortment of sweets" by the chef, and every piece was delicious! The meals were both visually stunning and delicious, making me excited about what dish would come next. I’ve found another accommodation I’d love to visit again. The excellent hospitality from the staff, the delicious meals, the comfortable room, and the amazing onsen—thank you so much for everything!

    The sunset was breathtaking.

    We stayed in a renovated Room. The living room, terrace, and even the bathroom offered stunning ocean views. The bathroom was especially impressive with floor heating, windproof shutters, and a water basin. The meals were exceptional; the freshly cooked rice and local fish were particularly delicious. From a senior's perspective, considering health reasons, would it be possible to adjust the bath temperature to be slightly cooler upon request? Additionally, as our food intake is limited, we would appreciate it if you could consider offering smaller portion courses for seniors in the future. We had a wonderful time blessed with clear skies and look forward to visiting again!

    Everything is wonderful.

    Recently, I often stay at properties with rooms that have an onsen, and among them, Rokusa-san is top class. The food is exceptionally delicious, fresh, visually beautiful, and the dessert served at the end is on a different level compared to other hotels. It seems that a dedicated patissier makes it, and it is truly delicious. Also, despite many of the staff being surprisingly young, their attentiveness is wonderful, and they answer questions accurately. When my husband sneezed a little, they immediately asked if it was pollen and provided a box of tissues and a trash can, which was truly impressive. We visited for our 35th wedding anniversary, and they even provided a celebratory plate. It is a property that makes us want to visit for our 36th anniversary as well. For a room with an onsen, it was very spacious, clean, and allowed for a relaxing soak. We were satisfied with everything, and we are truly grateful.

    I had a great time after a long while.

    It was difficult to get a reservation, but I finally managed to stay after being on the waiting list for a cancellation. The luxurious room, which had just been renovated, made us laugh and reminisce as if we were on our honeymoon. The bath, with its water basin reflecting the clouds, was so wonderful that we forgot it was semi-open-air. The meals and drinks were excellent, and the morning walk around the area offered perfect scenery, making it a dream-like stay for one night. I would like to visit again, but since I used up my luck this time, it might be a while. However, I look forward to visiting again and will face reality in the meantime.

    Always delicious and comfortable, no matter how many times you visit.

    This was our second visit, as my wife loved it when we first came. We visited again this year for our anniversary, and the food was delicious. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and tasty. All the staff provided excellent and pleasant service. The building feels a bit old, but the Room itself was spacious. However, the entrance felt a bit narrow and difficult to enter each time. We would love to visit again!

    Delicious meals

    I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. The interior was very nice, and it was great to be able to use the open-air bath anytime. The meal was also delicious with a platter of 6 kinds of fresh seasonal fish and additional sashimi of Ise lobster. I would love to visit again.

    The dishes were beau...

    The dishes were beautifully presented and very delicious. The room was also clean and comfortable for the stay. However, it was disappointing that there was no large public bath, and a reservation for the private open-air bath was necessary upon check-in. If I had known in advance, I would have checked in earlier... I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.
