Biwa Trout Kaiseki
The natural Biwamasu trout, proof of its orange color from feasting on plenty of shrimp! It's incredibly delicious!! Served as sashimi, grilled, fried, and more in generous portions. Living in the Kanto region makes it hard to visit often, but next time I’d love to try the eel hot pot (Jun-Jun). Thank you so much to everyone at the accommodation for your hospitality.

Accommodation to Enjoy the Flavors of Lake Biwa

The Room is spacious and clean.
I chose this place because the reviews mentioned the food was delicious. The tempura, sashimi, and rice were very tasty, but the simmered funa and funa sushi? ice cream tasted a bit salty to us. The hostess was very talkative and shared many stories with us, but we weren't sure when to start eating such wonderful dishes... A simple "please enjoy your meal" would have been appreciated. The room was spacious and clean. Perhaps a sofa would have been more relaxing than chairs and a table.

Completely satisfied.
We stayed for one night as a couple. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was modern, large, and very comfortable. The meals featured ingredients from Lake Biwa, which were unique and delicious for us who live near the sea. This accommodation is highly recommended for those who are getting a bit tired of the usual kaiseki cuisine.

Both the Room and the meals are very satisfying.
The northern part of Lake Biwa is deep and has clean water, making the fish delicious. I also enjoyed the sashimi of crucian carp from Lake Biwa. I stayed in a room that felt like a hotel but was remodeled from an inn, and I fully enjoyed dishes prepared by the owner using fish caught by local fishermen. This time, I chose the "Grilled Eel Junjun" plan, and it was my first time trying hot pot cuisine—I even finished it with rice porridge at the end. Next time, I would like to try kaiseki cuisine that changes with the seasons.

It was delicious.
The Junjun hot pot was delicious. Kokerazushi was easier to eat compared to funazushi. I would like to try the Biwamasu kaiseki and the wild duck hot pot on another occasion. Thank you very much.
