    Heartwarming

The Accommodation itself is compact, but the detached annex is impressive and offers plenty of space. The meals were distinctive yet delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared.

※ Options Available - Late Check-Out - Risotto - Venison Steak ※ Not Used - In-Room Sauna - Private Open-Air Bath - Vending Machine ※ Satisfying Points - The semi-open-air bath in the room is spacious. You can stretch your legs and soak up to your shoulders comfortably. The tub is large enough for two people. Since it is semi-open-air, closing the window prevents insects from entering. - The French dinner menu was to my liking. Leftover bouillabaisse soup could be used for risotto, which was available at an additional charge but refillable. After the meal, I did not feel that the portion was insufficient. Similarly, though an additional option, the venison steak had no unpleasant odor and suited my taste well. - When I requested a humidifier rental, it was promptly provided. ※ Areas for Improvement in Service - Timing of bread service during dinner: Bread should be served before appetizers or main dishes are brought out so that diners can enjoy pairing bread with sauces from these dishes. Even when requesting more bread, it arrived only after finishing other items. ※ Shuttle Service to Station - As a middle-aged couple sharing a ride back with a younger pair to the station via shuttle service: Although we kindly suggested letting them go first by informing the driver "It's fine if you drop them off before us," this request wasn’t accommodated. Upon entering the Crown shuttle car together with them, one young woman appeared visibly surprised. ※ Other Observations - Possibly coincidental but there were strange noises coming from refrigerator during bedtime; unplugged due inability sleep caused by sound. - No safe available (while theft unlikely presence would enhance security peace-of-mind). ※ Overall Impression: Despite minor hiccups regarding certain services overall experience makes accommodation worth revisiting recommending others too! Side Note: For train travelers around Ito Station limited options exist spending time nearby hence advisable avoid long gaps between lunch departure schedules

Hot Pot Cuisine from the Mountainous Region by the Sea

Located in the mountainous region of the Izu Peninsula, this accommodation is built on a sloped site along a narrow, steep road in the outskirts of Ito. The detached building still retains the fresh scent of new wood. More details can be found on the accommodation's website. From the second floor, you can enjoy views of Ito's sea. A river flows through a valley to the south of the property, and you can constantly hear its soothing sounds. The bath features a fan-shaped tub approximately 1.5 meters wide with natural hot spring water at an ideal temperature. The slightly salty water feels warm even during winter. The glass doors on both the south and west sides of the bathroom fully open, with access to a terrace on the west side. While there is another detached building located just below to the south that limits distant views, it offers an atmosphere perfect for enjoying forest bathing. Dinner is served simultaneously in a dining area where all guests gather quietly. For an additional charge, you can turn your main bouillabaisse dish into risotto by adding rice or eggs at your preference.

The quality of the detached guest room was excellent, but the dining experience was somewhat disappointing.

Stayed in a detached accommodation. The building was new and clean, with a spacious and comfortable semi-open-air bath attached to the room. The quality of the hot spring water was excellent, which was very satisfying. The staff's greetings and polite language, as well as their flexibility in accommodating requests, created many moments of warm hospitality for which I am grateful. However, other aspects did not make me feel like staying again. At check-in, although we arrived first and entered the reception area, we were directed to wait on the second-floor sofa while guests who arrived later were checked in first. Eventually, we were called down for our turn without any explanation for this reversal of order. A smoother process or an explanation would have been appreciated—perhaps completing check-in directly at the upstairs sofa could be considered. The Izu French dinner tasted good but felt insufficient in portion size overall. While the main dish of lobster bouillabaisse was delicious, it lacked volume unless paired with an additional paid rice option (risotto). When requesting extra rice after being asked if adjustments should be made due to excess soup quantity, we were surprised to see them discard part of the bouillabaisse into what appeared to be a waste plate (used for shrimp shells) right before us during preparation. It would have been better if they had taken it back into the kitchen or used another container more thoughtfully. Additionally, wearing loungewear inside restaurants is prohibited; thus attending dinner dressed casually left lingering food odors—especially from strongly aromatic dishes like bouillabaisse—on clothing afterward despite its stylish design suitable enough otherwise within dining settings themselves! Allowing such attire indoors might help mitigate concerns alongside exploring odor-control measures further too perhaps? Meanwhile appetizers featuring shellfish seemed overly tough requiring refinement cooking-wise likewise improvements elsewhere noticed similarly throughout meals served altogether here still though breakfast itself proved delightful starting days positively instead thankfully! Overall impressions suggest detached accommodations facilities alongside thermal waters plus friendly service excelled yet operational balance between culinary offerings management areas fell short somewhat leaving expectations unmet relative pricing charged ultimately hoping refinements forthcoming addressing gaps identified accordingly moving forward ideally soon hopefully!

The Onsen bath in the room was excellent.

We chose this accommodation because it had a sauna, but it was a bit disappointing. It felt cramped for two people, the flow to the shower was inconvenient, and the chairs didn’t seem suitable for outdoor air bathing. Perhaps due to the weather, the entire room felt damp, and even the flooring was moist. The private outdoor bath had slippery stones that made it easy to slip.

A healing accommodation surrounded by delicious cuisine and soothing hot springs.

A serene and relaxing time awaits even solo travelers. The room features an open-air bath and a private terrace, welcoming you as if gently embracing your daily fatigue. The cuisine highlights French dishes centered on fresh seafood from Izu and locally sourced vegetables. Among them, the standout was the renowned lobster bouillabaisse, offering a rich depth of flavor that encapsulates the blessings of the sea. The soup harmoniously blended the essence of seafood and vegetables, leaving a lasting impression. Afterward, I requested "just a little" risotto made with the same soup but ended up finishing it entirely—it was that delightful. From dinner to breakfast, every dish reflected meticulous craftsmanship by the accommodation staff, leaving a deep impression on my heart. Another aspect that moved me was the harmony of water, light, and sound. At the private large stone open-air bath located just outside your room, initially shrouded in darkness with no visible scenery, your eyes gradually adjust to reveal a beautifully illuminated garden—a scene so delicate it resembles an exquisite painting that quietly soothes your soul. The garden's landscaping is meticulously maintained with thoughtful care evident throughout—even extending to every corner of each guest room. "La riviere" offers an exclusive space for enjoying "time with water and warmth," complete with a private sauna where you can soak in hot water while listening to the gentle murmur of a river—a truly luxurious experience. The placement of open-air baths is carefully designed to harmonize perfectly with nature’s greenery and sky while balancing privacy seamlessly. Similarly impressive is how light is delicately handled in semi-open-air baths within guest rooms; soft downlights illuminate only around bathtubs subtly blending reflections on water surfaces into outdoor views peacefully merging together. From window heights or roof overhangs down through lighting hues or slight protrusions near bedside shelves—every detail reflects thoughtful design prioritizing guests' comfort during their stay—even small spaces like smartphone holders combine convenience alongside elegance effortlessly! This attention-to-detail hospitality paired alongside tranquil surroundings provided profound relaxation making me eager already planning another visit soon!

    The meals are fantastic!

It was a great accommodation. The onsen was nice, but the best part was the meals. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The service during meal times was also pleasant. I will visit again.

Relax with the soothing sounds of the river.

We stayed at a private villa with a sauna on the weekend before Golden Week. Although we got slightly lost near the accommodation, the staff kindly came to meet us nearby, which was very helpful. The accommodation was incredibly relaxing with the soothing sounds of a flowing river and birdsong. Soaking in the onsen within our room while surrounded by these natural sounds made for an extraordinary experience. We enjoyed a French course meal, which is somewhat rare for an onsen accommodation. Each dish reflected meticulous preparation and care in its flavor. After enjoying the main dish of Ise lobster bouillabaisse, saving some soup to make porridge was absolutely delightful!

It was a great accommodation with a semi-open-air bath.

The service was excellent, and the room was clean and provided a comfortable stay. The semi-open-air bath in the room was very pleasant; opening the window gave an open-air feel, while closing it allowed for comfort when washing or on chilly days—truly impressive! The meals were delicious and quite generous in portion size. However, I was slightly disappointed that there was no explanation about the additional charge for risotto. Although it was a bit unfortunate that the view from the window faced a neighboring building, overall, it was a wonderful accommodation.

    A Lovely Accommodation in Ito

We stayed during the gap in Golden Week. The room, being in its second year, was very clean, bright, and surrounded by vibrant greenery, making our stay very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. We would love to visit this accommodation again in a different season. Thank you very much!

    Sure to book again!

Everything was perfect. The Kawazu cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and we were recommended the private Onsen with a view of them, making for an incredibly luxurious Onsen experience. The room bath was also spacious, and the sound of the river was very soothing. All the dishes were delicious without exception. The selection of bottled wine was excellent, and the prices were more reasonable than those at restaurants in Tokyo or Yokohama, which led us to indulge a bit too much (laughs). Breakfast had unique flavors not found at other accommodations. The room was clean, and the garden with beautifully maintained flowers added to its charm. Everywhere felt comfortable; I wish I had known about this place sooner! At the same time, part of me wants to keep it a secret (laughs). I would love to visit during different seasons. Lastly, please convey my gratitude to the chef—the meals truly brought happiness!

    We stayed at the pro...

We stayed at the property to celebrate my husband's retirement. When we informed them of this, they included a message of appreciation on the dessert plate at dinner, and the staff also offered their congratulations, which made us feel very warm. Every dish was very delicious. We stayed in the "Mori" room, which is separate from the main building, and perhaps because it was newly built, the scent of the wood was refreshing and it was very comfortable. The tableware and room accessories were all carefully selected, creating a sense of unity and a calm atmosphere. The semi-open-air bath in the room and the open-air rock bath each had their own unique charm and were enjoyable. The staff's hospitality was pleasant, and it was a property where we wanted to stay forever. If I had to say, it would have been nice if the checkout time was an hour later so we could relax even more, but it was very cost-effective and we would like to repeat our stay. Thank you very much.

    Very satisfied.

I stayed in a detached room with a sauna that just reopened last year. Since it is still newly built, everything is, of course, new, and the layout was good, allowing for a pleasant stay. Although there was no cold bath, I was able to enjoy the onsen and sauna by substituting with a cold shower. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were very delicious, and the service was impeccable. Being able to see fireworks from the second floor also became a good memory. Due to the season, it was difficult to fully enjoy the long bath and sauna, so I would like to change the timing and visit again next time. Thank you for your hospitality.
