    It was perfect.

    The guest room is very spacious, with a living area, a Japanese-style room, and a bedroom. You can enjoy views of the beautifully maintained garden, which is also wonderfully illuminated at night. The sofa and TV are both very large, giving you plenty of space to relax. Everything—from the furniture and amenities to the tableware—was lovely. The welcome sweets (monaka), drink service (beer and milk), smoked potato chips, and mixed nuts were all delicious and stylish. There was also more ice cream than we could finish, including Häagen-Dazs and cream puff ice cream. From the washroom to the indoor bath, everything is very spacious, and there is even an open-air bath—perfect for enjoying as many baths as you like. It’s an Onsen. Dinner was French cuisine with touches of Japanese flavors—high-quality dishes that clearly took great time and care to prepare. Breakfast was a Japanese set meal with rice cooked in an earthenware pot; in addition to grilled fish and sashimi, the vegetable side dishes were authentic and delicious as well. Both meals make excellent use of ingredients from Toyama Prefecture. We visited from within the prefecture ourselves, but it was impressive how familiar ingredients were elevated by professional skill into something truly delicious. The chef may be young, but not only is the cooking outstanding—the service was consistently polished and flawless too. This Accommodation comes highly recommended with confidence for guests from outside the prefecture as well. It’s only March so far this year, but we may not find another Accommodation that surpasses it.

    The chef was wonderful.

    We stayed here as a family. Inami is known as a mecca for traditional woodcarving artisans, and this Accommodation—renovated from an old kimono shop—perfectly matches the unique atmosphere of the town. Only one group per day. As others have commented, the Room, garden, and bath were all truly impeccable. What stood out most was the chef, who also served as our concierge. He was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the ingredients, the town’s history, and more. I was deeply moved by how learning about the cuisine and ingredients while dining made the meal even more extraordinary—it reminded me that food is also an encounter in itself. Thank you very much. Hearing about their experience after the Noto earthquake was heartbreaking, but we could also feel how people in Hokuriku are moving forward with determination. We would love to stay again.

    I was very satisfied.

    Both the Room facilities and the hospitality deserve five stars. We booked the “Winter Limited: Winter Delicacies—Japan Sea Snow Crab (Hon-zuwaigani) Indulgence Plan,” and when I hear a “crab plan,” I usually imagine a course like boiled crab or grilled crab—but in the best way, it exceeded expectations. Except for the appetizer and dessert, every dish was crab, yet each one was an elaborate and creative creation. We truly enjoyed it. The concept of “staying at a chef’s home and being treated to their hospitality” is wonderful. It takes about 30 minutes from Takaoka by local train and then around 10 minutes by car, so it’s not the easiest place to reach, but it’s well worth visiting again. The streetscape of Inami was also lovely.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    The food was delicious, every bite was enjoyable, and the drinks were excellent as well. You can enjoy the Onsen both indoors and outdoors as much as you like at any time. I spent a relaxing time listening to music without turning on the TV. Although it’s a bit inconvenient to get there from my home, I definitely want to stay again.

    Considering the cost...

    Considering the cost-performance ratio, this accommodation, including the rooms, facilities, and meals, is very affordable. If you nitpick like a perfectionist, you might say things like "the bath could be better" or "the service could improve," but even with those points considered, it's still quite inexpensive. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations due to its location when I made the reservation. However, it turned out to be excellent. Rather than staying in a moderately priced room at a large hotel located a bit farther away, extending your trip slightly to stay at this accommodation will definitely provide higher satisfaction—highly recommended! Well... that's just my personal opinion though.

    A wonderful accommodation.

    It was a wonderful accommodation, including the shuttle service from the station. The room furnishings had a luxurious feel, and the meal in the storehouse was highly satisfying. Despite being located within a tourist area, the room was quiet and allowed for a relaxing stay.

    It was truly the best.

    From start to finish, it felt like we received heartfelt, top-notch hospitality from the owner and staff. We were so satisfied that no amount of praise could express our delight. The owner's research and information gathering, their love for Toyama, and the young staff's sincere efforts to elevate this experience made for a truly wonderful trip. We are grateful for such an excellent journey and look forward to meeting these earnest individuals again in a different season.

    It was the best time!

    Everything from the Room to the bath and the service is excellent, especially the meals, where the chef's skill and sense are outstanding. The crab dishes were prepared in a way I had never experienced before, and it was a wonderful time with local ingredients and sake!

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay, but the room was very lovely, and the food was very delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. When I mentioned that my mother was not fond of raw fish, they kindly provided an alternative cooked dish. We had a very enjoyable two days. Thank you very much. I would love to use your property again.

    A lovely traditional house in Inami

    I stayed with my mother and husband. Since it was limited to one group, we could relax without any worries. The room's bath was spacious and comfortable, and I was delighted that the drinks in the refrigerator, such as alcohol and juice, were free. They prepared Japanese-style French cuisine over the counter, and we enjoyed delicious fresh fish from Toyama and local vegetables. The chef was friendly, and we had a great time. I would like to visit in a different season.

    Villa with Chef in Little Kyoto

    The accommodation is located on the wide cobblestone main street of Inami, a temple town. It used to be a kimono shop? It blends into the townscape, and with its modest sign and nameplate, it's hard to find unless you research well. Since I called in advance, a staff member was waiting at the entrance to guide me to the parking lot. After descending the slope of the alley from the parking lot and entering the inn, there is a modest and modern front desk, and upon opening the door, there was a brand-new luxurious room. It has been properly renovated, making it hard to imagine its previous appearance. The furniture is splendid, and the bed is comfortable. Inclusive drinks and snacks are also provided. The spacious alley garden with a waiting area and tea room is well-maintained, and you can walk around in garden clogs. Stepping out from the large indoor bath with a wash area onto the wooden deck, there is a round wooden tub open-air bath, both kept at a suitable temperature all day long. Even in the snowy season, you can enjoy a warm bath. You can relax on the deck in a bathrobe, or enjoy the view of the garden from the room's sofa or watch the large TV. Meals are served in a dining area that has been renovated from an adjacent warehouse. There are tables that can accommodate about ten people, but it's a feast at the counter for just one group, monopolizing the chef. The young chef is knowledgeable, skilled, calm, and kind. Each dish is a local delicacy with elaborate preparation. There is also a rich selection of local alcoholic beverages. Returning to the room to relax and indulge in fine sake. It's quiet at night. I overindulged in unfamiliar gourmet food and fine sake and ended up with an upset stomach. Breakfast is at the same counter. You can enjoy the town within walking distance while leaving your car parked.
