The lobby and the room were stylish, spacious, and luxurious. Since it came with a kitchen, we bought ingredients in Otaru before heading to the hotel and enjoyed cooking and spending a delightful time together. The cooking utensils and tableware were well-equipped and of high quality, making our stay comfortable.

I made a reservation...
I made a reservation at Club Med Kiroro for the end of this year, but I decided to stay here as a trial to see if it could be a candidate for future trips. Overall, it was amazing! Even during Golden Week, there were still very few guests, making it feel like a hidden gem. Perhaps Kiroro itself was less crowded due to the off-season... While I don't like crowds, I'm posting this as support. I would definitely love to stay again! 【What We Loved】 - The facility is extremely clean since it's new! Both the shared areas and the room had beautiful interiors that made us feel very comfortable. The bed was spacious and provided great sleep quality. - Having a kitchen and washing machine in the room is incredibly convenient. I've stayed at hotels or Airbnbs with kitchens before, but this place had the sharpest knife I've ever used—impressive attention to detail! They also thoughtfully provided laundry detergent. - The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially breakfast which was very satisfying. - The staff were exceptionally friendly and kind, particularly towards children. - There’s free-flow wine time in the lobby lounge which we thoroughly enjoyed. 【Areas for Improvement】 - It would be great if the hairdryer in the room could also be Dyson like those in the public bath area. - Amenities are minimal; skincare products would be appreciated given this class of accommodation. - Towels should ideally be replaced daily based on usage or perhaps provide towel warmers for drying them. - Dinner at the restaurant lacked variety in sashimi (only salmon and mackerel), which felt disappointing considering Otaru is nearby—more options would be wonderful! - This might be difficult but having a pool would make it perfect! It might even encourage long summer stays.

This place feels like a foreign country...
Over 90% of the guests are foreigners. The Hotel staff are also mostly foreigners and communicate in English. It can be quite challenging without a certain level of English proficiency. [Regarding the Onsen] Most foreigners do not know how to use the Onsen properly, so they enter without rinsing their bodies first. As a result, there are many floating particles in the bath. The Hotel should consider putting up warning signs. Due to the excessive amount of floating particles, which felt unhygienic, I decided to skip the Onsen. *My wife mentioned that the same issue exists in the women's bath as well.

More than worth the price. Everyone else was a foreigner. Luxurious space. Cleanliness was impeccable.
A one-hour drive from Sapporo. The highway to Otaru offers scenic views of the sea. A 30-minute drive up the mountain on a winding road. It's an impressive building next to Club Med. I expected it to be cold and empty due to the few guests, but it was warm, well-air-conditioned, and comfortable. The wine tasting was satisfying. There were no snacks or amenities, but snacks were sold in the vending machine in the kids' room. The gym is also impressive. The interior, inspired by Hokkaido, lacks sophistication, but the facilities are excellent. The private hot spring is interesting. The restaurant menu is neither too much nor too little, though the taste is a bit strong. The steak was delicious. The portions are large, perhaps catering to foreigners. I saw two Indian chefs. The service staff, possibly from Southeast Asia, were very kind and pleasant. As it's a condominium for sale, perhaps owners use it for golf or skiing. I once stayed at Hotel Piano when Kiroro was under Yamaha, and it was nostalgic to see it turned into a massive Club Med. The location offers both seafood and mountain delicacies. My mother was impressed with the cleanliness. If it were a Japanese company, they might reduce staff or make breakfast a set meal when there are few guests, but there was ample staff, and the breakfast buffet was well-stocked, creating a luxurious space. There were no Japanese guests, which was interesting in its own way. The nuances of the Japanese explanations were subtle, but it was fun to confirm and rephrase them, making it feel like being abroad. It made me want to support foreigners working hard in Japan. I was satisfied with my stay. It reminded me a bit of the bubble era.
