Dinner could only be served starting at 8:00 PM.

Upon entering the Accommodation, we had to put our shoes in the shoe cabinet ourselves and manage the key on our own. It felt more like an izakaya... We also had to carry our luggage to the Room ourselves, with no guidance. Dinner starts at 17:30 or 20:00, but we were told only the 20:00 slot was available. We checked in around 16:00, but it seemed that was already too late. Starting at 20:00 was tough... Even in the Room, it was noisy—we could clearly hear conversations from the hallway. It felt like a slightly upgraded Dormy Inn. The location was good and close to the station.

    The hospitality is excellent.

The service was outstanding, and I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel. All the food and drinks were delicious. On the front desk floor, there were complimentary coffee and cold barley tea, and in the lounge area they even provided ice bars and Yakult for the next morning—everything was thoughtfully prepared. Of course, we also enjoyed the late-night soba. We had no complaints at all and had a wonderful stay.

    The in-room bath was great.

As we were traveling with a family member who has difficulty walking, we requested a Room near the elevator, and you kindly arranged one right in front of it, which was a great help. The hinoki bath in the Room smelled wonderful, and the free-flowing hot spring water was silky and left our skin smooth. Thank you as well for lending us a shower chair. You also called a taxi for us when we left, which was very helpful. Thank you very much.

An accommodation with Onsen baths and exquisite cuisine that will make you want to return every time you think of it.

After arriving at Echigo-Yuzawa Station, I requested the Shuttle Service, and we reached the Hotel in no time. The entire property—even the hallways—is covered with tatami mats, and everything is impeccably clean. I had a very comfortable stay. When I mentioned that the bed in my Room felt a bit low, the staff kindly came up with a solution right away, and I truly felt their outstanding hospitality. The large public bath offers a wide variety of tubs, and there are also three private baths. No Reservation is required—if one is available, you can use it freely—so it’s perfect for Onsen lovers. Dinner was simply an endless parade of delicious local Echigo specialties. Partway through, there’s a menu where you can choose your preferred dishes, and they told me, “Please help yourself—ordering everything is fine too,” which genuinely surprised me with its generosity. Of course, everything tasted excellent; every dish reflected refined Japanese culinary skill and careful craftsmanship. I also appreciated that a complimentary sake tasting service was available. Breakfast features Minami-Uonuma Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional hagama pot as the star of the meal, accompanied by an impressive spread of side dishes that bring out its flavor even more. Refills were available not only for rice but also for items like onsen eggs and natto, so I left completely satisfied from the morning. Among Kyoritsu Resort Accommodations, this may well be top-class when it comes to Japanese cuisine. This Accommodation delivers complete satisfaction—from the Onsen to the meals to the warm service. Even now as I look back on my stay, I already want to return. It was truly a wonderful place full of charm.

    A No-Frills Accommodation

We stayed in a triple Room on the 4th floor, chosen for the location and the building’s age. The Accommodation was clean, and the main areas are efficiently consolidated onto the front desk floor, dining floor, and large public bath floor—streamlined for better or worse. You carry your own baggage to the Room, but I felt a bit hesitant about rolling it along the tatami hallway. The view from the Room overlooked the ski slopes and a Lions Mansion building. The in-room bath has a bamboo blind, but privacy-conscious guests may still mind it. Meals offer selectable dishes and you can order additional items later, so the portions are incredibly generous. We also enjoyed a Japanese sake tasting with Tsururei and Kubota Senju at no extra charge. The large public bath is about what you’d expect for its scale, but there are various types of baths so it didn’t get boring. True to Kyoritsu style, there was late-night ramen and other enjoyable touches throughout. The next day we walked to Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort; they also provided reliable luggage storage, which was very helpful. Overall there’s little to fault, though it felt almost too optimized—giving it a bit of a business-hotel vibe. A luxurious complaint, though.

    The meals are excellent!

I stayed for a multiple night stay for skiing. I didn't have high expectations, but the meals at the accommodation were filled with plenty of vegetables (of course, the fish and meat were also delicious), and I was truly impressed. The rice might be from Uonuma? Whether it’s the quality or how it’s cooked, every meal brought me happiness. Thank you very much.

    Welcomed us at the e...

Welcomed us at the entrance despite the rain, and even took photos for us while sending us off in the snow. The bath on the top floor offered a great view, allowing us to enjoy a snowy bath experience. The meals were plentiful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious! Our Room was upgraded, making our stay even more special. Thank you so much! We will definitely return!

    Please provide more supplies.

It is understandable given the nature of the facility, but it would be appreciated if towels were provided either in the room or in the dressing room of the bathhouse. The shuttle service between the station and accommodation is very helpful. The pick-up service is great, and the front desk staff are nice. The meals are average. Choosing a room with just a shower was a mistake on my part.

    Excellent Accommodation Near the Station

Shoes are stored at the hotel entrance, allowing you to stay barefoot during your accommodation—very convenient. The dining options are excellent, and second servings of the dinner's special dish were available. Breakfast was satisfying with services like warming grilled fish and choosing rice side dishes. The large public bath is well-equipped, offering complimentary ice cream and Yakult. And don't miss the late-night soba noodles! Truly impressive, Kyoritsu Resort!

Relaxed by Onsen and Japanese sake!

Although it was during the summer vacation and there were many visitors, the large number of Onsen allowed for a relaxing stay. The private bath system was convenient, and I could enjoy the hot water alone multiple times. During dinner, I appreciated having a partitioned counter by the window, which allowed me to enjoy my meal at my own pace. The staff who served me had similar tastes in alcohol, and all their recommended sake was delicious, making it an enjoyable dining experience! It was an Accommodation that made me want to visit again.

    I will visit again.

I am a returning guest who has stayed here multiple times. This time, I visited for my mother's 88th birthday celebration trip. The complimentary drink offered to my mother made her very happy. I always think it would be nice to have gender-swapped bath rotations so we can enjoy different baths. The free ice cream after the bath and Yakult in the morning are great touches. The meals were delicious and satisfying as always. I will definitely return again!

    The meals were not satisfactory.

The room was small and felt like a Business Hotel. Considering the price, the quality of the food ingredients was poor, making it the most disappointing among the four Hotels I visited in Echigo-Yuzawa this time. The service was very pleasant, especially the Shuttle Service staff outside who were extremely kind.

    Highly Satisfied

Extremely satisfied. The food was delicious with a wide variety of dishes, and I was so full! (laughs) The staff were friendly and polite, making this an accommodation I would love to visit again.

Other than the bathing experience, I was very satisfied.

Overall, I am satisfied, but I would like to make one suggestion to the Property: although it may take some effort, I think it would be beneficial to inform guests of the bathing rules at check-in. During my stay, about 90% of the guests seemed to be non-Japanese, and there appeared to be a fair number of people who were not well-versed in bathing rules and etiquette (such as not rinsing off before entering the bath, bringing drinks into the bathing area, entering the bath with a towel wrapped around them, or using the bath during menstruation without proper care). These behaviors were not out of disregard, as everyone seemed to love Japan and were trying hard to speak Japanese while enjoying themselves. I felt that if the rules and etiquette were thoroughly communicated, these issues would likely improve, so I wanted to convey this point. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and accommodating even during busy times, and I was very satisfied with the meals and the Facility. Thank you very much.
