    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed as a couple. From the lounge at check-in to the Room, dining area, and sky lounge, the ocean views were stunning, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing, luxurious time. It was great to be able to enjoy both the large public bath and the bath in our Room. The meal portions were just right, and the tableware and presentation were lovely. Of course the fish was delicious, but we were especially surprised by how good the rice was. The staff provided calm, attentive service. We would definitely like to visit again!

    Dinner service

    The simmered splendid alfonsino served at dinner was very delicious, and my elderly mother was still eating the meat on the bones, but a male server tried to clear the dish away too quickly, which made us uncomfortable. It spoiled an otherwise wonderful meal.

    Recommended Accommodations in Chiba’s Sotobo Area

    The meals are very delicious, and from 6 to 9 you can enjoy alcoholic drinks for free! The rooftop terrace location is wonderful. There is also a bath in the Room, so you can relax comfortably. Shuttle Service to Awa-Kamogawa Station is available. We were very satisfied.

    The view from the Room’s open-air bath is wonderful. The meals were delicious, and thank you as always for your comfortable service. I hope to visit again later this year.

    The open-air bath was amazing.

    The open-air bath attached to the Room was outstanding. With an ocean view, the Onsen temperature was just right, and it was spacious and incredibly relaxing. The next morning there were many clouds, but I could still watch the sun rise while soaking in the bath. Both breakfast and dinner were also very satisfying. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

    Facilities, service, and dining

    The Room entrance and door are fully visible from the road across the way. Guests must open the heavy lid of the Room’s open-air bath in order to use it. Even though there are many dishes, the meal is not at all in a kaiseki style.

    It was wonderful!

    I stayed in the annex. The Room has an open-air bath and an ocean view—exactly the kind of place I love and had always wanted to visit. However, since credit cards cannot be used for payment, I had canceled a few times. This time, I brought cash and went. It was truly wonderful. Because of strong winds, the sky lounge was closed so I couldn’t relax there, but I still enjoyed my time in the lobby lounge—the sand art kept me entertained, and the tea was delicious. The huge screen in the Room felt just like a movie theater and really impressed me. Once I got into the bath, I didn’t mind people outside in the distance at all, and the breeze felt amazing. The meals were just the right amount—not too much or too little—and very satisfying. Kamogawa itself isn’t easy to access by car, but I’ve found another favorite Ryokan.

    An Accommodation where you can relax and unwind

    We chose this Accommodation because we were looking for a relaxing stay with a bath overlooking the ocean view. We were also able to unwind while gazing at the sea from the open-air bath in our Room. During our two-night stay, we hardly ran into other guests. Although it seemed that families with children were staying as well, we did not hear voices or footsteps from the neighboring Room. The service was very satisfying, and since the meal portions were a bit large for us, they kindly adjusted the amount for dinner on the second day.

    The room was compact, user-friendly, and comfortable. The dinner service staff was the same as last time, and we remembered each other; they served everything with perfect timing. I would definitely like to stay again.

    Seeking Onsen in Southern Boso

    As the weather got colder, I decided to visit an Onsen. I had always wanted to try this accommodation as I often pass by it on my way to a nearby resort condominium. The location, clean room, delicious meals, and excellent staff service make this accommodation perfect in every way. My only complaint is that the open-air bath in my room was too hot for me to relax comfortably. It seems other rooms have adjustable temperature settings, so I plan to try one of those next time.

    The Facility is good...

    The Facility is good but not user-friendly. The hanging chair on the terrace is unstable. The usability of Netflix is poor. The shower booth has good water pressure but lacks a door on the indoor side. There is no explanation about the torch mentioned on the website, so it was not used. It's a pity because the food, Room view, and basic services are excellent.

    Relax and unwind with your close friends.

    Stayed with a friend of 50 years. It was the perfect accommodation for reminiscing about events during times apart, hardships, joys, and our first meeting 50 years ago. From the room, we quietly watched the waves as conversations naturally began and ended with the sound of the waves in the background. Then again, memories would resurface, and one of us would start talking while the other listened with a simple "Yes... Yes..." alongside the sound of waves. In the room or at the lounge, we had an incredible time—surely thanks to this room and this lounge. The food was excellent as well. And during bar time at the lounge, though full from dinner, we enjoyed something light.

    Relaxation with Stunning Views

    Chosen "Zekuu" for a sudden holiday with limited time. There were other appealing accommodations, but I booked this one because the view from the room seemed great—and it was the right choice. The view from the room was truly amazing. The distant horizon, sound of waves, and blue sky—these moments of gazing at the sea were an irreplaceable and perfect escape from busy daily life. The open-air bath on the balcony is well-maintained at a comfortable temperature. The light blue sofa by the window harmonizes beautifully with both the sea and room, offering a relaxing atmosphere. The view from here is exceptional! On the top floor of the annex where we stayed, there’s a sky lounge offering free drinks while enjoying stunning views. However, being close to a road with heavy traffic made car noise noticeable—this was really my only disappointment. Meals were served in private rooms on the lobby floor and offered great value for money. For dinner, we enjoyed Ise lobster sashimi; by breakfast time, miso soup made with broth from its head was served—a deeply flavorful delight. Although checkout was at 10 AM, we opted for late checkout by paying an additional fee to enjoy more time admiring the scenery. While there’s nothing much around in terms of location, that very isolation makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind completely—a wonderful accommodation indeed! If you love ocean views and seek relaxation, this is highly recommended!

    It was excellent.

    I stayed for one night during a beach trip. The Room with an open atmosphere offering a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the private open-air bath were truly impressive. On the 5th floor of the annex, there is a sky lounge where you can enjoy unlimited alcoholic and soft drinks while relaxing and admiring the ocean view. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and they kindly accommodated requests for additional servings of rice. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful time!

    The quality of accommodations selected by IKYU has declined...

    A very disappointing accommodation experience... ① Upon arrival, we were handed a luggage cart and told to "go ahead," leaving us women to load our own luggage while the male staff just watched. ② The slippers provided for children were extremely dirty and unhygienic—it's shocking that they continue to use them. ③ The main dish, a sashimi platter, consisted mostly of yellowtail fish. Including the children's meals, many dishes seemed pre-made and did not justify the price. There was no sense of care in the food preparation. ④ The private Onsen in our room barely felt like an Onsen—it was almost just water. When we complained, we were told that tap water is mixed with the Onsen water but it’s still legally considered an Onsen. However, this "Onsen" had no mineral scent or saltiness typical of real hot springs and left no warming effect after soaking—something I’ve never experienced before at other Onsens in Chiba Prefecture. There was even a remote control for adjusting the temperature next to it, which made me question if this could really be called an Onsen at all. Unlike other places where you can only add cold water if it's too hot, being able to adjust temperatures like this suggests it’s mostly tap water—a truly terrible experience overall! ⑤ The main building where we stayed was old and deteriorating in many areas; there was a smell of cigarettes near the bed and sofa area, while the air conditioner made loud rattling noises. Bed-making seemed rushed with only thin summer blankets thrown on top—no quality whatsoever. ⑥ Free drinks offered were subpar—the most careless selection I’ve ever seen at any accommodation before! This place should learn from other accommodations about what kind of services are expected nowadays. I also question how IKYU selects accommodations for their platform as this one fell far below expectations—it makes me wonder about their criteria for listing properties. There are no photos because none of the food or facilities were worth capturing. The only positive note: during dinner service, a foreign female staff member who attended us provided excellent service!

    With an ocean view

    I stayed at an accommodation with an open-air bath in the guest room for the first time, and I was very satisfied with the beautiful ocean view, the relaxing open-air bath, and the delicious meals. I would love to visit again!

    Slippers are uncomfortable.

    * Disposable slippers would be appreciated; the reused leather ones feel unpleasant. * Please consider making the open-air bath more private and not visible from outside. * The meals were disappointing for the price... even the sashimi was underwhelming. I travel to various places every month and stay at decent accommodations, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

    The scenery, rooms, and cuisine are exceptional.

    It was wonderful to relax while enjoying the ocean view. I was deeply moved by the sight of a bright red moon rising over the horizon at night. The public bath is small, but having an open-air bath in the Room is definitely better than not having one, and with fewer guest rooms, it’s great that you rarely encounter other guests. There’s no excessive customer service either, making it ideal for those who want to spend time on their own. The only downside is that checkout is at 10:00 AM, which feels too early considering the beautiful scenery, Room, and lounge—I wish I could have stayed longer. It would be nice if there were a layout Plan available as well.

    The golden eye snapper was excellent!

    The meals, room cleanliness and view, and staff service were all very satisfying. The golden eye snapper was especially delicious. The abalone and spiny lobster made for an incredibly luxurious meal that left a great impression. The champagne in the refrigerator is a unique service not often found elsewhere. The open-air bath was spacious and comfortable. If I had to mention one thing, the projector manual was a bit difficult to understand. I will definitely use your services again. Thank you very much!

    Used for a birthday celebration.

    We used this for a family birthday. The meals were delicious, and the service was excellent. We requested a cake and bouquet as an option, and they exceeded our expectations, making the family member who received them very happy. It became a wonderful memory. It would be even better if there were benefits like late check-out through IKYU Diamond privileges.

    Family-friendly services available

    We stayed here for our first family trip with our 5-month-old baby. It was just over a 2-hour drive from home along the coast, and the private open-air Onsen in the room was a deciding factor. For meals, we were provided with a private tatami room, along with a baby chair and cushions for our child, allowing us to enjoy delicious food comfortably. The room was designed to minimize noise from neighboring rooms, so we could relax and unwind. We would love to stay here again!

    The view of the Paci...

    The view of the Pacific Ocean from the room was excellent. From the room and the veranda with a semi-open-air bath, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. I thought it was well-considered for those concerned about privacy, as a screen was provided. Looking at past meal reviews, there were some not-so-good ones, but I enjoyed the sashimi boat platter, simmered kinmedai, and steak. The timing of serving the dishes was also excellent. Breakfast was also delicious. It was a property that made me want to visit again. Also, it might be common for properties in this area, but I thought it was good that there was information in the room about evacuation routes in case of a tsunami.

    It was a wonderful meal.

    We enjoyed the wonderful cuisine. The private open-air bath in the guest room is also excellent. However, it was unfortunate that the noise from the air conditioner's fan in the room was loud, preventing us from getting a good night's sleep. If we had noticed a little earlier and asked the front desk, I think they could have accommodated us with a heater or another method.

    No complaints if the cuisine had more creativity.

    Dinner was upgraded to the "Boat Platter with Spiny Lobster & Simmered Alfonsino + Grilled Abalone or Kazusa Wagyu Steak! Cuisine Upgrade Plan," but the spiny lobster was small, and the sashimi was not particularly delicious. There was no creativity in any of the dishes, and there was no sense of seasonality, which was disappointing. However, everything else was good. Especially the open-air bath in the Room was always set at the right temperature, which was satisfying.

    Ocean View

    The location was excellent with an ocean view Room and bath, but the lack of blinds made me concerned about being seen from afar. Dinner was very satisfying, but breakfast was ordinary. Overall, I was satisfied.

    His Birthday

    I used it for his birthday. It is not a large Hotel, but as you enter the entrance, the lobby for check-in offers a stunning ocean view. There is also a sky lounge, so I highly recommend visiting it. With self-service drinks and alcohol available and a terrace to relax on, it was very enjoyable. The Room had an open-air bath, a large screen, and welcome champagne in the fridge, providing an extraordinary experience. While we were having dinner, they beautifully decorated the Room for us; he was very delighted! This Hotel is perfect for birthdays!! Both dinner and breakfast were visually appealing and tasted amazing. Every detail of their hospitality was outstanding; I would love to visit again!

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay. The chlorine smell in the onsen was less noticeable than before, though I did notice it slightly in the morning. The meals were very delicious. The view from the room was also fantastic. Considering the cost-effectiveness and comparing it to similar accommodations in the area, I would suggest extending the checkout time to 11:00 AM. Even so, I would love to stay here again!
