    Stay with three generations of your family

    Having stayed here before, I thought my grandchildren would love it, so we booked the villa for a three-generation stay with my daughter’s family. The moment my daughter and son-in-law walked in, they were overwhelmed by the view and exclaimed, “This is amazing!” and “It feels like the home of someone who became successful at a young age,” absolutely delighted. The grandchildren also went into the garden jacuzzi again and again, saying it was “like a pool.” When they got tired of the jacuzzi, they played at the nearby “Kaze no Buranko” swing. Because it’s a villa, you can relax without worrying about others—an ideal Facility for families with small children. The staff also provided thoughtful hospitality that anticipated our needs. We were extremely satisfied. Thank you very much.

    If I may say one thing: last time, without me asking, you kindly packed up my leftover drinks to take home after dinner, but this time that wasn’t offered. I feel it would be better if the service were consistent. The food was delicious, and I had a very satisfying stay. Thank you very much.

    The meals are exceptionally delicious.

    I hadn’t reserved dinner, but they still served a set course menu, and it was delicious. Breakfast was also very satisfying. The view from the Room was amazing. Because the jacuzzi bath and shower room were separate, it was a bit inconvenient. It would have been nice to have a TV.

    Beautiful scenery

    Despite the rainy season, we were glad to enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and sky. The villa was comfortable, and we were able to relax at our leisure. The meals were delicious, and all the staff were pleasant—perfect in every way.

    The location is disappointing.

    The hospitality, service, and meals were all perfect. One small disappointment was that the ocean view from the open-air jacuzzi was blocked by overgrown weeds, which was a shame. The sunset from the restaurant was beautiful as well, but again, the view in front was covered with weeds. If this is intentional, I apologize. However, I think it would be even more wonderful if beautiful flowers bloomed there throughout the seasons. I will definitely return again.

    I was impressed by the breakfast.

    The rainy weather was a bit disappointing for the view, but the jacuzzi felt wonderful, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was still a great experience. I was amazed by how satisfying the breakfast was. Next time, I’d like to add dinner as well. I really wanted to see the sunset.

    It’s rare to find an Accommodation or Hotel you want to return to again and again. I hoped this would be an Accommodation worth revisiting. A second stay happens sometimes, but a third is quite uncommon.

    To Another World

    As you open the door, the waves of the Sea of Japan appear like a painting through the circularly partitioned exterior wall! The counter-style table is minimalistic, with everything neatly stored in drawers. Even without a TV, time flew by effortlessly. I enjoyed the jacuzzi twice—once under the moonlit sky and again early in the morning while gazing at the stars. It was truly a blissful experience—thank you so much! Lastly, both dinner and breakfast featured extraordinary dishes that were absolutely satisfying.

    At the time of check-out

    When I went to check out, there was no one at the front desk, so I waited for a while. Since no one seemed to be coming, I called out, "Excuse me," and a man who had been typing on a computer at the table next to the front desk rushed over. I had noticed him when entering the front area but assumed he was another guest. To my surprise, he turned out to be staff—possibly even someone in charge. However, without saying a single word, he started processing my check-out. Shortly after that, a female staff member arrived and took over from him to complete the procedure smoothly. While the Hotel itself, Room accommodations, and food were all excellent, this man's attitude during customer service was very disappointing.

    The stars were beautiful.

    This is my second stay. I couldn't forget the beauty of the sea and sky, so I came back. The meals are delicious. The room does not have a TV, as this hotel is designed for enjoying the scenery. Everything is pleasant, but the front desk staff's service might not be very good. Other than that, everything was perfect. Thank you for this wonderful stay!

On the departure day, when JR services were suspended due to bad weather, I truly appreciated your assistance with arranging a taxi and providing breakfast bento boxes.     Relaxation

    I have never experienced such a relaxing time. The sauna was excellent, and the dinner not only offered delicious food but also warm hospitality from the staff. Watching the sunset, gazing at the starry sky, and soaking in the morning sun while sitting outside allowed me to truly unwind. The breakfast was also very satisfying. I would love to visit again. For those planning to stay, here are a few points to consider: 1. Sauna: - When reserving the hotel, you can opt for a private sauna at an additional cost of 5,000 yen. However, this fee is not immediately apparent and is charged upon checkout. While it is mentioned in small print on the website, it may be easy to overlook. - Guests wear sauna attire from their room to the sauna area; however, there are no locks on the entrance door or privacy measures like surveillance cameras near the cold bath area (apologies if mistaken). This made it uncomfortable for me personally to use after sweating in the sauna. If you're not particularly keen on saunas like me, you might reconsider paying 5,000 yen for this service. Sauna enthusiasts should ask for detailed explanations during check-in before using this facility. 2. Dining: - Dinner service can take quite some time as non-staying guests also dine at the restaurant alongside hotel guests. While enjoying a leisurely meal with views of sunsets over the Sea of Japan feels luxurious, our dinner took 2 hours and 30 minutes due to delays and mix-ups in serving order (e.g., pasta served after meat dishes), even though we requested faster service due to overlapping with our reserved sauna time. - Breakfast was exclusively for staying guests and offered a calm dining experience featuring local Shimane specialties that were truly delightful. Despite these minor inconveniences mentioned above, I believe they add charm to creating unique experiences away from daily life routines.     Everything was excellent except for the dinner.

    The location, room, and jacuzzi were excellent, but I felt it would be better to have dinner outside. Location: Since most guests use taxis or rental cars, access is not an issue. Major spots like the airport, Izumo Taisha Shrine, and Matsue Castle are about a 30–45 minute drive away. Room: The view was absolutely stunning. Just spending an hour in the jacuzzi watching the sunset made the accommodation worth its price. (However, during sunset hours with direct sunlight it can get hot or cause sunburns—morning might be a better time for using the jacuzzi.) Maintenance and facilities were excellent. While many accommodations now provide refillable bottles in bathrooms, I appreciated the individually packaged amenities and complimentary minibar. Although there was no TV, having a Bluetooth speaker matched well with the atmosphere of this place. During my stay there were insects flying into the jacuzzi and many dragonflies around; as mentioned in other reviews, having a cover for it would be helpful. Restaurant: The food tasted good but service could improve. Even after sitting down with our room key visible on us we were asked if "both of you are okay with alcohol?" While it's commendable to take drinking seriously regarding driving safety laws—it seemed disappointing that they weren’t aware we were staying guests already checked-in at their accommodation! We ordered courses on-site that evening yet waited over 20 minutes without even receiving water initially until asking staff whether drink orders had gone through properly—only then being told things may delay due-to busyness today though surely providing basic water promptly alongside apologies wouldn’t hurt? Meanwhile walk-ins arriving later than us received pasta dishes/drinks faster suggesting operational inefficiencies instead perhaps causing delays overall here too unfortunately cocktails ordered finally arrived post-finishing appetizers first dish entirely already served beforehand sadly leaving mixed impressions overall despite otherwise decent-tasting meals themselves albeit occasional mismatched flavors noticed between ingredients used plus plates appearing smudged detracting slightly further from experience altogether regrettably so ultimately speaking still! Overall Impression: A recommended hotel if you choose to dine elsewhere for dinner!

    Shimane Trip - Fully Satisfying

    Drawn by the jacuzzi view through the window and the scenery of the sea and sky, I chose this accommodation. Since the accommodation itself is relatively small in scale and not focused on activities within its facility, there were few encounters with other guests, allowing for a quiet and relaxing space. The meals featured specialties from Shimane as well as creative takes on local cuisine, which I thoroughly enjoyed. For this trip, I prioritized privacy and relaxation, so I was very satisfied. It was also great that private sauna access (including löyly) was available for an additional fee if reservations were open. However, one concern was that access to the private sauna area only had a single sign saying "private zone," making it easy to peek in. While it didn’t bother me personally, my wife mentioned being concerned about the salty smell along the hallway to our room and insects around both the jacuzzi and private sauna—this might be something to consider for those who are particular about such details.

    Great location, but service could be improved.

    The location is excellent, offering stunning views from both the Room and the restaurant. The restaurant provided a comfortable distance between guests, and we were initially pleased to be seated at a counter with a window view. However, another family with small children requested to sit on the terrace instead of inside. Despite all terrace seats being available, they were seated directly in front of us, where they opened an umbrella that completely obstructed our view. If the restaurant had been fully booked, it might have been understandable, but this decision felt unnecessary and disappointing. As a result, we quickly finished our meal and returned to our Room. While the service for those using the terrace was attentive, we wish more consideration had been given to us as well. It was unfortunate for a Hotel that prides itself on its location.

    The morning moments were wonderful!

    This Hotel offers the perfect morning experience from waking up to enjoying breakfast! Starting the day with a quick dip in the jacuzzi and sipping coffee made with the electric kettle in the Room was pure bliss. The coffee cups were beautiful, and upon asking at the front desk, I learned they were from Shussai Kiln. I even visited their workshop, which was about a 20-minute drive away. The Japanese-style breakfast at the restaurant was elaborate and delicious. However, since I stayed for two nights, I would have appreciated an option to enjoy something simple like sandwiches in my Room on one of those mornings. It’s truly a Hotel where you’d want to spend your mornings relaxing in your Room!

    I was able to relax.

    I decided based on the photos of the sea and sky visible from the window. With only a few rooms, you can relax without encountering other guests. The private atmosphere is perfect, and enjoying the jacuzzi while gazing at the sea is amazing. Although it was cloudy and there were thunderstorms at night, limiting the time we could use it, we were thrilled by nature's gifts—the color of the sea during cloudy weather, the sound of waves, and lightning striking along the horizon at night—something you wouldn't see on a clear day. The room had only a shower, so I cannot evaluate baths or Onsen facilities. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner with plenty of delicious local dishes prepared for us. All staff members greeted us with smiles, making us feel great throughout our stay. It was fun to learn about Izumo and local sake during meals as well! I would love to visit again someday. Staying here allowed me to create wonderful memories; I’m truly glad I chose this accommodation!

    【About the Architectural Space】 The building is an exposed RC structure utilizing the slope by the sea. Each room is accessed via an elevator from the front desk, and as soon as the doors open, you will be amazed by the bold hallway design, all finished in exposed concrete. Each room features a private balcony with a slightly larger jacuzzi offering a panoramic view of the ocean. Please note that swimwear is required for using the jacuzzi. You can also reserve a private sauna as an option. Depending on the season and weather, enjoying a sauna while watching the setting sun was truly exceptional. 【About Dining】 The detailed menu explanations enhanced our dining experience—thank you! The pursuit of flavor and presentation was evident, along with care for local ingredients and efforts to promote regional culture. A Hotel that pursues excellence in dining also pays attention to its architectural space. This balance is essential. Thank you for providing such a wonderful time!

    The brioche and canelé served at dinner were absolutely delicious.

    The meals were carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The wagyu beef, brioche, and canelé served at dinner were particularly outstanding! The room offered a breathtaking view in a perfect location when the weather was clear. However, since the room was a single space, it felt a bit small, and it was disappointing that the jacuzzi wasn't an Onsen. On the positive side, the fridge had complimentary drinks, and we could enjoy the jacuzzi 24/7. The dining staff left a great impression with their smiles, while the hotel staff's reserved demeanor felt just right for maintaining privacy. It seems that you can also use just the restaurant facilities—I would love to visit again someday!

    The private sauna was great.

    The room amenities are also well-equipped, and since it faces the sea, the sunset view was wonderful. The sea is nearby, and the jacuzzi has slightly salty water, so those with sensitive skin may not be able to soak for long periods. During the New Year holidays, I was able to spend a very relaxing time by repeatedly entering and exiting the private sauna. I would definitely like to stay again.

    It was a breathtaking view of San'in.

    I visited to find a Stays urgently for a visit to Izumo Taisha. The view of the winter Sea of Japan from the jacuzzi was wonderful. The meals were delicious, and there was a variety of alcohol, so I enjoyed a delicious wine for the first time in a while. (I usually only drink sparkling wine) Breakfast was good, but it would be even better if there were a little more vegetables. Also, I was quite bothered by the staff chatting behind us, possibly because they were not busy. I think it would be less noticeable if they talked a little further away. Also, the Room only has a shower, so you have to use the outdoor jacuzzi to soak in a bath, which is a downside. It's cold in winter... By morning, the jacuzzi was completely cold, so be careful as it might be better to refill the bath. However, it's a lovely Property, so I would like to visit again when it gets a little warmer. Thank you for this time.

    The Sea of Japan that you can gaze at endlessly

    The private sauna for 90 minutes at 5000 yen is a good deal, but when doing self-löyly, the door opened by itself, causing the temperature inside the sauna to drop. I would like the sauna door to be renovated. Also, I would like the sauna temperature to be increased a bit more. The maximum was 86 degrees. I hope for at least 90 degrees. Additionally, since anyone can freely enter the sauna area, I would like a safety box to store valuables (especially the room key). There is a sufficient possibility that the key could be stolen while in the sauna. The jacuzzi on the room's terrace is stylish, but I would like a cover. In the morning, I thought about getting into the jacuzzi, but a large amount of dead leaves and insects were floating after the night. Despite staying at the hotel, I didn't feel like cleaning the bath in the morning, so I gave up on the morning jacuzzi. I would like a chair and a makeup mirror, even if foldable, at the washstand. I want to sit and do my makeup. It was also a bit disappointing that there was no lotion or moisturizer in the room amenities. Although I have written various improvement requests, I think it is a unique hotel with rich meals using ingredients from Shimane, the hospitality of the staff, and the location overlooking the Sea of Japan that can be viewed without getting bored. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.

    It was as expected.

    To exaggerate, it felt like experiencing another world. I had the vast Sea of Japan all to myself from the open-air bath attached to the Room, dyed in the sunset, gazing at the constellations scattered across the sky, making me forget the real world. The breakfast was delicious. The sauna was also great. Thank you to all the staff.

    Special Stays for Couples

    If you want to spend a special day at a special property in the quaint city of Izumo, I would recommend this place. It might be better to visit outside of winter. Room The room is small, yet surprisingly comfortable and easy to spend time in. There is no noise around, so I think the soundproofing works well. I stayed in winter, and although it was cloudy, the front view was ocean, so it would be even more wonderful if the weather were nice. The amenities were well-prepared, including snacks, alcohol, yuzu juice, water and soda, coffee, and tea. There were also bathrobes available for going outside, which was a nice touch, reflecting the price. Service The staff were moderately friendly and maintained a good distance. Bath and Sauna The bath was an outdoor jacuzzi, not an onsen, but it was very nice to soak while enjoying the view. The sauna required an additional fee, but the strong winter winds from the Sea of Japan made it difficult to enjoy, so it might have been better not to use it. Dining The meals were plentiful. The fish and meat dishes were very delicious, comparable to the quality of a hotel restaurant in the city center. Satisfaction You can spend a leisurely and luxurious time. It is recommended for spending time with someone special.

    A hotel that satisfies all your senses, leaving you fully satisfied with the scenery, your stomach, and your heart!

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days to coincide with my trip to Izumo during the month of Kamiari. Everything was completely satisfying, and this is a Hotel I definitely want to repeat. - The view is amazing! You can truly feel the "sacred land of Izumo where the sun sets." We were blessed with great weather during our stay and enjoyed different sunsets on both days. The moment the sun sets on the horizon is truly moving. At night, I soaked in the jacuzzi and had the starry sky all to myself, like a planetarium. It felt as if the stars were about to fall. They were so bright that the night sky seemed almost illuminated. - The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were delicious and visually appealing, making it hard not to overeat (I didn't want to leave anything because it was so good). I'm a light eater, so I felt the portions were a bit too much, but the waiter noticed and adjusted the menu's number of items and volume for the following days. The reduced portion was compensated with drinks. The drink menu is extensive, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The next morning, another waitress was well-informed and served me a smaller portion of rice. I was very pleased with the staff's attentive care. The satisfaction with the meals is really high, thanks to the local production for local consumption menu. Dinner time was busy (many customers were using the restaurant only), and I felt it was a popular place. As a result, the serving was a bit slow. I enjoyed taking my time with the meal, so it was just right for me, but some people might find it slow. - I used the sauna early in the morning. I enjoyed the changing colors of the sky as the sun rose, from white to pink, and then to a light sky blue. It truly calms the mind. In the Room, there are terry cloth ponchos provided. You can wear them over your sauna attire and move around comfortably! - The cleaning staff was pleasant, and the Room was very clean and comfortable. - The check-in and check-out staff were attentive yet maintained a comfortable distance, which made me feel very at ease. On the day of check-out, I had an early departure, and they kindly prepared breakfast in a bento box for me. Next time, I want to spend the whole day at the Hotel, empty my mind, and leisurely gaze at the sea and sky!
