    It was disappointing.

    The amenities were disappointing for the price, and the meals in particular were not good at all, so we left a lot uneaten. For that price, I felt there was more that could have been done. The card payment at checkout also took a long time, and honestly I wondered whether this Accommodation was really okay.

    A hot-spring Accommodation for therapeutic stays, where the clack of geta signals the New Year close at hand.

    If you follow your car navigation system from the Shuzenji Road interchange along the narrow, alley-like streets of the Onsen town, you’ll find the parking lot. Follow the signs, carry your luggage on foot, and you’ll reach the entrance. Check in at the front desk. You can see a neatly maintained courtyard. From the wide staircase and corridors, you can watch guests walking along the one-way street in front of this Accommodation. The Room has been well renovated—clean, spacious, and quiet. The partitions of glass and wooden latticework and the shadows cast by various lights are interesting, though it is a bit dim. There is no view other than the courtyard. The Room has a square wooden bath with a tiled floor and a slatted mat; you fill it yourself and it becomes full in about 10 minutes. It doesn’t seem like it would feel cold even in midwinter. Since there’s no outside view, it’s best to relax with tea or draft beer (room service) in this calm Room, or go out for a walk around the Onsen town. The large public bath seems to have a capacity of about three people; if one person uses each of the open-air bath and indoor bath separately, it feels very spacious. Meals are served in private rooms renovated using old fittings. Seafood is grilled on an individual tabletop stove in each room, so there’s an aroma like robatayaki in the air. The food is delicious. You can sleep well on large, comfortable beds at ease throughout the night.

    We stayed here for my mother’s birthday. I had arranged a fruit platter as an optional gift in advance, and there was also a thoughtful photo frame and message card in our Room, which made my mother very happy. Thank you for helping make it such a memorable birthday. Thanks to the proprietress’s many considerate touches, we had a comfortable and enjoyable trip. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation in every detail. The food and baths were excellent, and we were able to fully enjoy Shuzenji.

    It was an amazing stay!

    This Accommodation is within walking distance of sightseeing areas such as Shuzenji. The dinner was delicious, and the fresh, high-quality ingredients—including plenty of vegetables grown in Shizuoka—were excellent. There were only about four groups staying that day, including us, so it was quiet and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. At night, the entire Shuzenji area was illuminated, creating a wonderful atmosphere that we really enjoyed.

    Stylish interior decor

    We stayed in a maisonette-style Room. Since the washbasin area, bathroom, and bed are on the second floor, it may not be suitable for guests who are not confident with stairs. The woody scent of the in-room bath was very soothing. Please be careful not to bump into the rocks hidden under the water in the open-air bath at the large public bath. This may have been my oversight, but I deducted points because it seemed that the women’s bath has fewer tubs; I would be happy if there were a rotation between men’s and women’s baths. The hot spring water is mild and soft, making it easy to soak for a long time. I was excited to unexpectedly be able to use a ReFa shower head and hair dryer. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. There were many stylish lights, and I would have liked to hear more about the concept behind them. There was coffee and tea at the drink corner. The massage chair seemed like a latest model? It felt great. All staff members were pleasant and provided comfortable service. Thank you very much.

    Highly recommended.

    The Room was clean, and the meals were high quality, delicious, and so generous that we couldn’t finish them—we were very satisfied. There were only a few Reviews, so we were a bit worried, but as soon as we arrived, the staff’s service made it clear right away that this is a great Accommodation. Highly recommended.

    The meals are outstanding.

    Our family stayed for two nights. The meals were especially delicious. Even when we felt full, each dish was so varied and flavorful that we still ended up finishing everything. We were surprised that even my mother, who usually eats small portions, ate it all! We were also very satisfied with the attentive service.
