    Wonderful

    This was my first time staying for three nights, and everything was great—the service struck the perfect balance of attentiveness and distance. It was a bit pricey, but it’s now on my list of Accommodations I’d like to treat myself to again. If I had to mention one thing, I’d love the meals to have a bit more originality!

    The Facility is clea...

    The Facility is clearly well maintained, and thanks to the thoughtful hospitality, we had a highly satisfying stay. We would definitely like to stay here again.

    Everything was excellent!

    On our second day in Miyako, our family of six stayed in the Presidential Suite. It’s no exaggeration to say that this Room was the main highlight of our trip to Miyakojima—we had been looking forward to it so much. Normally, I believe the Shuttle Service is from the airport, but as a kind gesture they picked us up from our previous night’s Hotel in town with two cars. We were also grateful to be able to check in shortly after noon since the Room was ready. This Hotel provides a rental car for each Room. It was incredibly helpful for trips to Island Station and Sea Station, buying garlic shrimp, and quick stops at convenience stores. There is also a free laundry room within the Facility. The best part was the large heated pool! We visited in February and were specifically looking for an Accommodation with a heated pool, so choosing this place was absolutely the right decision. Our kids (a 9th grader, a 12th grader, and two college students) had an amazing time—when they got cold there was a sauna, and there’s also a jacuzzi right next to it, so they enjoyed it to the fullest. At night it’s beautifully lit up and looks stunning. Because we have picky eaters and light eaters in our family, we didn’t add dinner; instead we ordered several items via in-room dining and supplemented with food from Island Station and convenience stores. Another nice touch: all drinks in the refrigerator are complimentary. The mango juice is outstanding. We had breakfast in our Room as well—it was beautifully set up with plenty of drink options, making it feel truly special. There were more amenities than we could possibly use! The slippers were wonderfully plush. And no matter how much we swam, there were always plenty of towels available. The staff’s hospitality and warm smiles were also exceptional. The only disappointment was that the futons in the Japanese-style room smelled slightly musty. Given how humid Miyakojima is (that surprised us most on this first visit), I suppose it can’t be helped. Other than that, everything was perfect—we kept saying we didn’t want to leave as they drove us back to the airport. This is definitely one Hotel we want to return to again without question.     A One-of-a-Kind Hotel Found on Miyakojima

    The building had a solid, luxurious feel—truly an upscale villa. When I entered the Room, everything was coordinated with calm-toned furniture, and I was able to relax completely. I was told that every Room comes with a private pool and jacuzzi, and they were even better than I imagined. It felt less like staying at a villa Hotel in Japan and more like being at an overseas villa Hotel. Of all the Hotels I’ve stayed at, this was the one where I felt the most privacy. What’s more, the refrigerator in the Room was stocked with plenty of drinks—water, juice, tea, Orion beer—and everything was free of charge. Even after drinking them on the first day, complimentary drinks were replenished again the next day. During my stay, not only were the Facility offerings wonderful, but I was also comforted by the staff’s attentive, kind, and gentle service. We added both breakfast and dinner for three days, and I was surprised that every meal came with a different menu. It never got repetitive—I could enjoy delicious food every day. Best of all, when you Reserve a Room you receive a complimentary rental car. When I visited Miyakojima before, making a rental car Reservation was difficult. During peak season it can cost as much as your Hotel stay, and just searching for an affordable option is hard work. Being able to use a rental car without that hassle was truly great. Before staying here I thought it might be a bit expensive; however considering the quality of the meals plus the complimentary rental car and all those free drinks in the refrigerator, it actually felt like excellent value.

    The worst hospitality ever (would never want to stay again)

    I have traveled to Miyako Island several times a year, but this is my first time writing a review. Among the Resort Hotels I have stayed at so far, this was by far the "worst hospitality" experience. First, I had made a Reservation for a 4-night stay with a rental car Plan several months in advance. During the pre-Reservation confirmation call, I was told that they would "do their best to arrange a car that can accommodate four people." However, if they could not guarantee such a car, we would need to Change the Reservation to one without the rental car Plan and urgently arrange our own vehicle. Additionally, on the day before our stay, I noticed that an upgraded Room was available and requested an upgrade at an additional cost. However, they persistently explained that "we will not charge you any Cancellation Fee for your previous Room," which felt unnecessarily condescending since it was simply an upgrade request. The pre-check of damages on the provided rental car was excessively thorough. Despite light rain falling at the time, we were required to meticulously inspect even tiny scratches together with staff—scratches so small (less than millimeter-level) that one had to get very close to see them. While I understand this might be necessary from their perspective as part of Facility management procedures, it felt excessive under those conditions. There were also peculiar systems in place: if cleaning services were skipped due to staffing shortages on certain days, guests received ice cream; even when requesting cleaning services instead of skipping them altogether—snacks were still given out regardless. This gave off an impression of minimizing resources wherever possible compared with other hotels within similar price ranges. After returning from our trip homeward-bound inquiries regarding payment issues revealed further problems—the Hotel’s response proved unreliable enough requiring intervention via IKYU.com Support Center eventually resolving matters satisfactorily yet exposing inaccuracies originating directly attributable towards miscommunication errors emanating solely upon behalf thereof said establishment itself rather than third-party platforms involved therein handling disputes impartially throughout proceedings overall leaving much desired improvement-wise operationally speaking moving forward ideally rectified accordingly henceforth hopefully avoiding recurrence future instances alike altogether optimally achieving betterment universally appreciated mutually beneficial outcomes long-term sustainability goals aligned shared interests stakeholders concerned collectively striving excellence industry standards upheld consistently maintained perpetually ongoing basis indefinitely assuredly     Everything was perfect.

    Stayed here for the first time. The deliciousness of the meals was surprising and impressive! It was also very clean, and we were extremely satisfied. We had a day different from our usual routine, and the kids were overjoyed. We will definitely come again!

    The best accommodation.

    We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in Miyako Island for a family trip. We chose this accommodation because we were looking for a place with a pool that could accommodate six people. The children wanted to spend as much time as possible at the beach, so we were very grateful that beach towels were provided. The 24-hour laundry facility was also very convenient. We rented a car from the accommodation, which made our trip even more comfortable. Breakfast was delicious every day, offering both Japanese and Western options in generous portions—so much that we couldn’t finish it all! The kids were absolutely satisfied too. The sunset view from the rooftop was stunningly beautiful. When we asked the kids what they enjoyed most about this trip, their answer was... "The pool!!!" Our entire family had a relaxing and enjoyable stay here. Thank you so much! We would love to stay here again when we visit Miyako Island next time!

    It was a perfectly accommodating Hotel.

    Stayed with my daughter’s family, including her husband and child, as well as my spouse—two families in total. The room was very clean, the pool was spacious with a jacuzzi, and it was beautifully lit up at night. The ocean view right in front of the room added to the full resort experience. The hotel provided shuttle service from the airport, and a rental car was prepared right in front of our villa room. The refrigerator was fully stocked with complimentary fruit juices and beers. There were plenty of towels available—separate ones for use inside the room and others for outdoor use—as well as beach sandals and bags provided for convenience. A free laundry facility made it easy to wash swimwear. The amenities were also high-quality with many options available. Breakfast on the first day featured Japanese cuisine, while Western-style breakfast was served on the second day; both meals were visually appealing and delicious. Since our grandchild is a picky eater, we didn’t have dinner at the accommodation but it looked equally appetizing from what we saw. Although prices are higher during summer season, all staff members were kind, making this stay an enjoyable family experience filled with wonderful memories!

    It was the best Hotel!

    It was a luxury suite, but still such a wonderful Hotel. The Room was stylish, and the private pool and jacuzzi outside had our high school and middle school kids absolutely thrilled. Breakfast was included, and it was delicious. The only issue—though I didn’t use it myself—was that my husband and son mentioned the shampoo didn’t lather well, and the conditioner left their hair feeling rough. It seemed like a high-end product, so improving this would be appreciated. We’d love to stay here again when we visit Miyako Island!

    Wonderful Accommodation

    I love Okinawa and have traveled to the main island many times, but this was my first visit to Miyako Island. I had been curious about this accommodation for a while, so I was really looking forward to it. As soon as I entered the room, the view from the large window of the pool, jacuzzi, ocean, and sky exceeded my expectations with its beauty and grandeur—it instantly lifted my spirits. The room was clean and well-maintained with a sense of freshness. Amenities were sufficient, and even the drinks in the refrigerator were well-stocked—hardly anything extra needed to be purchased. Regarding meals, staff carefully listened to our preferences at first and ensured both quality and quantity were highly satisfying. Although only female staff attended us during our stay, they were attentive in every way which made us feel comfortable throughout our time there. Since it was my first time on Miyako Island, we had planned various activities in advance; however, the room was so wonderful that leaving it felt like a waste. One concern is that while dining facilities are cozy compared to the number of rooms available—it might be challenging during peak seasons. Additionally (as expected for accommodations surrounded by nature), those who are extremely sensitive or uncomfortable around insects may find it slightly difficult. Thanks to all of your staff members' efforts ensuring everything went smoothly without stress—I fell in love with Miyako Island! Looking forward eagerly toward visiting again someday!

    A Resort Hotel Friendly to Elderly Couples

    We stayed for 3 nights from June 10th to celebrate our wedding anniversary, just like last year. Every year, we make it a tradition to travel for our anniversary. Since the pandemic, we’ve shifted from overseas trips to finding domestic destinations where we can enjoy delicious meals and relax. Last year was our first time staying at Arcadia, and we were impressed by the quality of the guest rooms and facilities, the attentive service provided by the predominantly female staff, and most of all, the exquisite meals. This led us to return again this year. This time coincided with the end of the rainy season, so using the rental car included in your services, we enjoyed a leisurely drive around hidden spots on Miyako Island and Irabu Island featured on NHK’s "Bura Tamori." As for dining, just like last year, we had teppanyaki and Italian cuisine. The dishes made with locally sourced ingredients from Miyako Island paired with exceptional sauces were flavors that can only be experienced here. One breakfast was Japanese-style this time—so elaborate and delicious that it felt more like a full-course meal than just breakfast. It was another incredibly satisfying wedding anniversary this year. We hope to celebrate here again next year as well. Thank you very much!

    It was the best trip ever.

    This was my third stay in Miyako Island, and this time it was a 2-night accommodation. It was my first time staying at Arcadia. The room's spaciousness, interior design, cleanliness, the well-equipped amenities, and the attentive hospitality of all the staff were exceptional. Although it rained almost throughout our stay, the hotel life was so wonderful that it can only be described as perfect. I’ve already made a reservation for October! If there’s one point for improvement, it would be that the pool wasn’t heated.

    Comfortable Rooms and Warm Hospitality

    The Room was spacious, clean, and had a calm atmosphere, making it very comfortable to stay in. The refrigerator was well-stocked with complimentary drinks, and the amenities were excellent. What left the most lasting impression was the outstanding service from the staff. During breakfast, one of my companions felt unwell and couldn’t attend, but the staff kindly offered to prepare porridge or provide containers so they could eat in the Room. The quality of both the Facility and Room was high, and while the service was exceptional, it was the warmth of people that truly stood out at this Hotel. It was a wonderful stay that makes me want to return again.

    It was a very wonderful Hotel.

    We used it for his birthday. Despite the challenges of having only female staff, we were impressed with the Room upgrade and the birthday plate provided! The Room was clean, the amenities were perfect, and the service was wonderful! This is definitely a place we want to visit again.

    It was excellent!

    During the summer vacation, we stayed for 4 nights with our two elementary school children. It was our first time in Miyakojima. Without any prior knowledge, we reserved this hotel simply because it had a "private pool and rental car," and it turned out to be the perfect choice! I kept thinking, "Good job, past me!" throughout the trip (I even made my family say it, haha). In recent years, it seems that small luxury hotels and villas like this have been increasing in Miyakojima. Among them, having a rental car included is a big plus! It really helped us move smoothly without wasting time. The staff, mostly young, were all very kind and friendly. We are grateful for their assistance in making our stay in Miyakojima pleasant. The comfort of the room was also excellent, and the children spent their free time enjoying the pool. As for us parents, we relaxed in the jacuzzi or enjoyed a beer on the outdoor terrace, making our time in the room feel very luxurious and pleasant. After the welcome fruits on the first day, they provided snacks every day, which were tasteful and something we looked forward to. The drinks in the room were properly replenished, and although we bought additional alcohol, the amount was sufficient if you don't drink. The children loved the various flavors of fruit juice. The meals were excellent, with each dish being wonderful, and the service and timing of the offerings were satisfactory. (It's rare to have the opportunity to enjoy a course meal with children, so that was also delightful...) Having fresh salad and fruit in the morning was also great! We would love to visit again when we return to Miyakojima.

    Everything was perfect!

    The staff's service was excellent and impeccable. The seasoning and portion of the meals were perfect and just to my liking. Having access to the laundry room was also very helpful. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. We will definitely visit again.

    Fake accommodation

    The main issue was the low quality of the meals. I've stayed at several hotels on Irabu Island, but this was the first time I encountered a hotel that served processed products instead of local ingredients. Additionally, I was surprised by the difference in the farewell treatment at checkout. We saw the guests before us being waved off by the entire staff, and we expected the same treatment. However, after we checked out, it was more of a "feel free to leave at your convenience" attitude (chuckle). Considering everything, I won't be visiting again.

    About Arcadia Resort Miyakojima

    I have stayed at this hotel several times, and I think it is the best hotel in every aspect. The hotel's design, the hospitality of the staff, the amenities, and the delicious food all contribute to a sense of privacy and excellence. It's rare for me to return to the same hotel, but there is something about Arcadia that draws me in. The rates may seem high, but considering the inclusion of a rental car and the quality of the food, I don't think it's expensive. I will continue to use this hotel in the future. Thank you for taking care of me.

    Everything from the room amenities to the meals and service is top-notch. The only point is that I felt the meals were a bit too much.
